The service here was first rate. I came by myself and I'm pretty sure every one of the staff stopped by to either chat, take my order, refill drinks, or ask how I was doing. The staff really seemed to enjoy their work and worked together smoothly. The salmon confit was a delight to the palate, a wonderful mixture of tangy, smoky, salty and sweet, and the pesto pasta was perfectly al dente and freshly made. I enjoyed some prosecco and house rose and had tiramisu for dessert followed by a complimentary limoncello. Daniel, one of the owners stopped by and chatted with me some, as did the manager Ilaria. She mentioned what the name, La Fata Ignorante, meant and showed me the painting of the Ignorant Fairy by the end of the bar for which the restaurant was named. I felt extremely welcome and glad I went there for my final dinner in Rome. Highly recommend!

La Fata Ignorante is a solid rooftop restaurant base in the IQ. hotel, offering gluten-free pasta and bread, which is a big plus for those with celiac or diet needs. We started with the antipasto platter—perfect for sharing among four, with a nice variety of cheeses and cured meats. We tried three different pastas; all were good, though surprisingly lacking in pepper, which is unusual for Rome. The food had great flavor overall, and prices were reasonable. Service was a bit slow, and while it’s a rooftop spot, don’t expect standout views. Still, a good option for a relaxed evening with gluten-free choices.

We planned to go to another rooftop restaurant but that was closed for renovations. We found La Fata Ignorante on Google and it happened to be next to our hotel. There wasn't outdoor sitting available but we managed to get a table indoor. We told them that we were celebrating our 20th Wedding Anniversary and they sent us 2 flutes of Prosecco which was lovely. Dinner was delicious and service was way above expectations. We could tell that Daniel and all his team members enjoy what they do and truly care for the guests. We were really glad that we ended up there for our celebration. Highly recommended!

Ice local restaurant with. Lovely terrace. The female manager was amazing. She was everywhere with a smile and genuine appreciation you were dining at their restaurant. The food at the restaurant was very good, however, I felt like they could’ve had at least poultry option. The focaccia bread is off the charts good. Crispy, tender, light, and beautifully seasoned! It is a must order!! I ordered the beef cheeks and potatoes, and had the spaghetti carbonara to start. The spaghetti carbonara is a healthy portion. And the beef cheeks is a large portion too! You can share both with somebody else. Both were very rich and flavorful! I wish I would’ve taken pictures of the focaccia bread and my main dishes. For dessert I had a mango type moose with raspberry coulis w/cream. It was delicious. Very flavorful and rich tasting. Again, you could share it with somebody.

The ambiance is beautiful. The service was great, Thank you Daniele, for being so wonderful, certainly made our anniversary extra special. I reccomend if you're looking for a romantic fine dining experience. The only critiques were the beef tartar, a bit bland for me and the gnocchi, a bit too fishy but certainly not deal breakers. The beef cheek was recommended, and did not disappoint. Ox tail is good too. Had one of each of their deserts and it was the perfect finish. Great staff, great decor, great service.

Google
Best restaurant we found in Rome. Located Rooftop it offers fine dining without the noises and commotion of street level. The wine list is extensive, and the food is delicious and reasonably priced. Recommend the beef cheeks, filets, or carbonara.

The restaurant is pretty nice and very pleasant for a summer evening. However, service was awful and pretty unexpected for such restaurant. We had to wait already for a while to order the drinks. Next, it took a while to get the drinks. Food was slow but the place was quite full. At the time we ordered the desserts, the place was quite empty. However, the waiter took the order and after a while he came back to let us know that it would still take about 10min. Pretty disappointing. On top, coffees came before dessert (given how long everything was taken), etc. it’s a shame that service does not correspond to the standard the restaurant looks like it.

The atmosphere is nice and unusual. Otherwise polite but slow service. They didn't notice the empty wine glasses. The wine was the most expensive on the menu, but it had a sour aftertaste. Meat and cheese plate was tasty. Carbonara is made with flour and didn’t have a traditional taste in any way. There was too much black pepper for children. Rabbit ragu and ossobuco were good. Potato tortellini and angus beef were average. The chocolate desserts are good, the rest were not to our taste. Strawberry sorbet is good with a lime and mint twist.

Yelp
This is the best meal I had in Italy. The service was outstanding. The woman who took our orders gave us a in depth description of all the dishes we were interested in ordering. The wine steward helped us match our choices to the perfect wine. The atmosphere was magical.

Yelp
Rooftop was lovely. Service was non-existent. Food was okay. My dish was served lukewarm. Had to ask for bread. Had to ask for wine. Had WAY better dinners throughout Italy at half the cost. I don't mind spending money on good food but this was not the place. Would not recommend. FYI - if you do go, on Fork app, try to get 18:30 time slot for 20% off.

Yelp
We recently stayed at the iQ Hotel Roma for a few days and visited the rooftop restaurant and bar every evening. The service is EXCELLENT and everyone is very friendly. The bartender during our stay was amazing!! (I know I'm spelling her name wrong but...) Ilaria quickly became a friend and she made us some DELICIOUS drinks. All the food we had was also incredible! We had the confit salmon which melted like butter. It was SO good!! I had the white rabbit ragu and my wife had the spaghetti carbonara both of which were great. There is a great outdoor seating area and a patio overlooking the Rome Opera House. It is a great place to have a drink and a nice dinner. I high recommend La Fata Ignorante.

Yelp
The food and service was great. The restaurant and the dishes seemed more on the modern side and they had a great selection of drinks and wine as well. We enjoyed the rabbit ragu and braised beef cheeks with mashed potatoes. Both were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The waiters were all very kind, polite, and attentive.

Yelp
A lovely rooftop dining space where you can see the Opera House. We had the salmon confit, hummus with vegetables and all of us had pasta for our main. Linguine with clams, tagliatelle with rabbit, gnocchi with octopus and strazzopreta( likely not spelling it right) carbonara. All very delicious although my daughter did like the gnocchi as well because it was different from what she had expected. Desserts were also great as we tried the mango Bavarian cream, the tiramisu and the peach crumble. The service was so pleasant and we never felt rushed. It was nice to be off the street and relaxed.

Yelp
Stayed at the hotel so we thought we would try the restaurant. What a mistake. I tried texting for reservation per front desk. No one replied, (still after 2 weeks later). We went up to the restaurant and there was only a couple tables taken so there was plenty of empty tables. It was over 100 degrees that day and they tried to seat us outside. We declined and said it was too hot we want to sit indoors and was plenty of seating. The hostess said we have to wait for the owner to arrive to see if he is ok with that! Wth?!!! He arrived just a few minutes after we waited in the general area. He "allowed" us to sit inside one of the plenty of empty tables. We ordered the focaccia bread for appetizer. More guests came to sit after us. Got their focaccia bread then meals before we even got our bread... We had to ask where it was. The waitress forget. Finally get it then our meals followed which were not good at all. Very very salty & pasta was not cooked thoroughly and was hard in the middle still. We left hungry and very disappointed in the whole experience.

Yelp
Rooftop dining, great food and drink. Responsive to feedback. Not a 5 star since they were understaffed for having so many guests. We will be back.
