La Fata Ignorante

A 5-star experience. Fantastic menu and every dish we chose hit the mark in terms of presentation and taste. Absolutely delicious! Also recommended a lovely local wine by our charming waiter. A special first night in Rome. Would not hesitate to recommend or come back.

After a long flight from the US and arriving in Rome early in the morning, we were exhausted. With heavy rain pouring outside, we didn’t want to venture far from our hotel so we decided to try the rooftop restaurant, La Fata Ignorante, at the iQ Hotel. It turned out to be the perfect choice. The rooftop setting is cozy, warm, and inviting, exactly what we needed after a long travel day. The staff was exceptionally kind and welcoming, attentive without being intrusive, and really added to the experience. The food was a standout. The pasta carbonara was absolutely amazing rich, creamy, perfectly cooked, and easily one of the best versions we’ve had. And the tiramisu deserves a special mention: it was hands down the best we had in all of Italy during our trip. Prices were very reasonable, especially considering it’s a hotel restaurant with such a nice atmosphere and high-quality dishes. Overall, La Fata Ignorante exceeded our expectations and offered the perfect first meal in Rome. We highly recommend it, whether you're staying at iQ Hotel or simply looking for a great, relaxed dining experience.

I saw great reviews of the restaurant and since we were spending New Years eve in Rome, we decided to book dinner at La Fata Ignorante. The food was fantastic and the staff was extremely professional and friendly. I highly recommend it!

We celebrated the birthday of our friend at this restaurant and everything was perfect. The appetizers we had at first were so good. The tagliata steak was amazing, not chewy or dry as it is in many restaurants, so we loved it. Many thanks for everybody who served us and especially for the waiter June who made our stay more comfortable. Definitely recommend!!!

This is one of the ultimate dinners in Roma. The staff is exceptional. The decor ans ambience are perfect. The food is exquisite. We finished this meal wishing for nothing else. 10/10 in every way. Never change, La Fata Ignorante.

Amazingly delicious food, excellent service, and an atmosphere you won’t find easily in Rome. You can enjoy a beautiful view of the city from the terrace while savoring their incredible dishes. The wine selection is also very good.

Was truly amazed by this restaurant,I had an amazing dinner here with my husband. It is a peaceful and clean rooftop. The Atmosphere was the best part about it, the staff is extremely patient and friendly, especially our waiter named June. Food was good, carbonara is great and my husband really liked his pasta with clams. Both flavorful, portions are on the smaller side tho. The staff, service, and atmosphere is what really topped things off. We have been through most of Italy on this trip from the north end and south end, and the staff here as been one of the most friendly and kind staff we’ve had this whole trip throughout Italy .

Oh. i am not sure if I want to share this wonderful secret rooftop gem😁That overlooks le teatre de Opera. It is very quiet with a nice vibe. The dining side of the restaurant does not have a view but nice but has good ambiance but only if it isn't too hot outside! There is inside dining as well!

This is the best meal I had in Italy. The service was outstanding. The woman who took our orders gave us a in depth description of all the dishes we were interested in ordering. The wine steward helped us match our choices to the perfect wine. The atmosphere was magical.

Rooftop was lovely. Service was non-existent. Food was okay. My dish was served lukewarm. Had to ask for bread. Had to ask for wine. Had WAY better dinners throughout Italy at half the cost. I don't mind spending money on good food but this was not the place. Would not recommend. FYI - if you do go, on Fork app, try to get 18:30 time slot for 20% off.

We recently stayed at the iQ Hotel Roma for a few days and visited the rooftop restaurant and bar every evening. The service is EXCELLENT and everyone is very friendly. The bartender during our stay was amazing!! (I know I'm spelling her name wrong but...) Ilaria quickly became a friend and she made us some DELICIOUS drinks. All the food we had was also incredible! We had the confit salmon which melted like butter. It was SO good!! I had the white rabbit ragu and my wife had the spaghetti carbonara both of which were great. There is a great outdoor seating area and a patio overlooking the Rome Opera House. It is a great place to have a drink and a nice dinner. I high recommend La Fata Ignorante.

The food and service was great. The restaurant and the dishes seemed more on the modern side and they had a great selection of drinks and wine as well. We enjoyed the rabbit ragu and braised beef cheeks with mashed potatoes. Both were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The waiters were all very kind, polite, and attentive.

A lovely rooftop dining space where you can see the Opera House. We had the salmon confit, hummus with vegetables and all of us had pasta for our main. Linguine with clams, tagliatelle with rabbit, gnocchi with octopus and strazzopreta( likely not spelling it right) carbonara. All very delicious although my daughter did like the gnocchi as well because it was different from what she had expected. Desserts were also great as we tried the mango Bavarian cream, the tiramisu and the peach crumble. The service was so pleasant and we never felt rushed. It was nice to be off the street and relaxed.

Stayed at the hotel so we thought we would try the restaurant. What a mistake. I tried texting for reservation per front desk. No one replied, (still after 2 weeks later). We went up to the restaurant and there was only a couple tables taken so there was plenty of empty tables. It was over 100 degrees that day and they tried to seat us outside. We declined and said it was too hot we want to sit indoors and was plenty of seating. The hostess said we have to wait for the owner to arrive to see if he is ok with that! Wth?!!! He arrived just a few minutes after we waited in the general area. He "allowed" us to sit inside one of the plenty of empty tables. We ordered the focaccia bread for appetizer. More guests came to sit after us. Got their focaccia bread then meals before we even got our bread... We had to ask where it was. The waitress forget. Finally get it then our meals followed which were not good at all. Very very salty & pasta was not cooked thoroughly and was hard in the middle still. We left hungry and very disappointed in the whole experience.

Rooftop dining, great food and drink. Responsive to feedback. Not a 5 star since they were understaffed for having so many guests. We will be back.
