La Favorita in Madrid offers much more than dinner—it delivers a theatrical masterpiece of cuisine and opera. We visited with my wife, our three kids (7, 9, 11), and my in-laws, and the evening was nothing short of magical.
The food was exquisite, full of rich, local flavors, and beautifully presented. The live opera performances were the real highlight—so moving that they brought tears to our eyes, and even kept our kids completely captivated the entire evening. They didn’t understand the language, but the performers conveyed every emotion—joy, sadness, and beauty—in a way that transcended words.
We also had the pleasure of meeting the owners’ two sons and daughter, who shared fascinating stories about the history of opera in Spain and were incredibly kind to our youngest, who was sleepy (Spaniards eat late!) but still engaged.
If you are in Madrid, a night out at La Favorita is simply a must! It’s the perfect mix of fine dining, culture, and heartfelt hospitality—an experience we will remember forever.
