Another Chamberí gem. I’m not going to lie it’s a bit above average in terms of price (they have 2 menus : 50€ & 70€ ). But it’s totally worth it, apart from the fact that menus have a soup , a fish , a meat and a dessert (free flow wine and bread). All very well executed. But the important here is the fact that the lovely staff of this establishment sings OPERA . So don’t miss the chance of enjoying an unforgettable night with you loved ones at La Favorita.

The food was okay, but the show and service were fantastic. We enjoyed a lot.

The atmosphere is absolutely amazing! A lovely little courtyard outside for a few drinks before you go inside for your meal. Along with your meal, there are some amazing live performances from the staff. A pianist plays the piano live and there are a few people who will sing live opera to you. Its fairly pricey but not extortionate and its worth the experience . The decor could do with an update and maybe some ironing is required for the table cloths. You do need to book in advance as this place is fairly petite and with covid they are running at a slightly lower capacity. For our dining experience we only had one other table occupied in the restaurant so its a very intimate experience! It was amazing. I would go back again for the experience.

A great experience! Young opera singers will delight you with arias and great conversation. Food is good, but not the main attraction.

To start, it took forever for them to find our reservation, when they finally did they brought us to a table missing a settting and too many glasses. When we were offered bread the waitress didn't know what the bread was. She said "This is white, this has cereal, I don't know what this is, this one is good.." All in spanish so there were no language barrier. After receiving our starters they finally added a setting but kept the table clustered with too many wine glasses and water glasses. We ordered a first bottle of wine and when we wanted a second one they didn't have anymore. The starters that were meant to be warm were cold so had to be returned. It took time and at that point everyone at the table was eating at different times. When the main meals came the waiter made a mistake with someone's meal so it had to be returned. I had ordered the porc loins and it was literally raw. At that point we called in the manger to express that we were discontent. He answered, "no worries we will fix it." By "fixing it" he brought us the bill with every single item we ordered including the ones that were not received or eaten and said that he can't do anything about it. At that point we asked for the official complaints form of Spain "Hoja de reclamaciones" because we were not going to pay 250€ for it all. The manager left the table and after a few minutes came back and at least told us that the meal was comp but our entention was to enjoy a nice meal not get played all night and it took us asking for the form to get to this point. If you are looking for entertaining restaurant that stand out Madrid is filled with them, don't waste your time on this one.

Perhaps the best kept secret of Madrid!!! A great place for anybody who loves listening to live classic music (Opera) while enjoying dinner. I have been to this restaurant so many times, and they never let me down, not a single time.

Yelp
Wow! We found out about this place from a person we met a bar. They said that the waiters sign opera to you? What? Sign us up! We made the reservations online the same day for a 9pm seating. The food was delicious, the singing was even better! I didn't realize it would be a 3.5 hour event, so plan to be there for a long time. We didn't leave the restaurant until 1130pm!! Prices are up there, but it's worth the experience. This is a great place for a birthday (yes they will sing to you), anniversary, or just want to do something different! it is a MUST in Madrid!

Yelp
We dined last night with a group at La Favorita north of the city center, a place known to local Madridians but not a main tourist venue. What a special experience it was! The restaurant is quietly elegant, comfortable, with excellent wait staff. The food was good. We started with bread and a smoke eggplant spread which was an unusual flavor for us. Our pate was some of the best we've ever had. We had the pork entree and the hake. The pork was NOT overcooked! Dessert was a creamy tiramisu. Throughout our meal, one particular waiter and waitress, classically trained in opera, would sing arias for our enjoyment - some familiar Italian pieces and one piece from a Spanish opera. On one number, they encouraged audience participation by singing "Lalala" with the melody. The ambience at La Favorita made for a delightful dining experience!
