"Yes, There is Craft Beer in Paris! Wine may be the Parisian drink of choice, but a burgeoning interest in craft brews has inspired the opening of several artisanal beer bars in the capital city. La Fine Mousse has 20 beers on tap—a mix of mostly French, Belgian, German and English microbrews—plus another 150-odd varieties available by the bottle. Don't expect a raucous pub scene—this is a place where a craft beer is afforded the same respect as a fine Bordeaux."

Lovely spot for mostly French and Belgian beers. Great bottle selection with upcoming blenders and mainstays like Cantillon, 3F, Tilquin, and Hill Farmstead.

Great service, cool atmosphere, extensive draft beer list. The bartender was an extremely nice guy, I think his name is Joaquin.

Aaron McKenna

Google
Great craft beer spot with a wide range of taps in a nice neighbourhood.

Located in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, this place is a gem for any craft beer lover who is looking for a great dinner. As an offshoot of La Fine Mousse Bar, this place offers a varied and great selection of beer of all kind that will undoubtedly match the food you are eating. The food selection is limited but is cooked by a top notch chef, who knows what they are doing. You should be happy with whatever you end up picking on the menu. The staff is friendly, attentive and willing to provide advice as you need them. The prices were decent as far as I was concerned and match one of a good restaurant. Overall a great experience that deserves to be tried.

Craft beer lovers delight. 21 taps with regular favorites and rotations. Great venue and local atmosphere. A must for a refreshing stop on a hot day!

Google
Nice selection of craft beer - including multiple French craft and Cantillon options. Nice place to sit, enjoy beer and small bites. Service was friendly and very knowledgeable about beer, locally and abroad.

Google
Seriously one of the best bars in Paris. They're selection of beer is both very good as well as constantly changing. Their staff is friendly and knowledgeable and will switch to English for my American friends. Finally the space is inviting on cool Parisian winter nights and spills out into the street on hot summer evenings. Love it.

This might have been my finest meal in Paris. Excellent beer pairing with my Entrée and Plat. My Dessert was wonderful with a beautiful pairing of Pear in a hoppy/basil sauce and a light slightly malty sweet whipped creme paired with a Maple Syrup Stout. All to die for.Creative combination of tastes and ingredients. Kudos to the Chef. The Manager-Waiter was very helpful and engaged and obviously has a passion for the food and beer and took time to explain everything. I will definitely be back before I leave.

Yelp
Really excellent beer bar. They have a lot to choose from and a huge variety. I had a grape beer and a blonde, both were excellent. The inside is really cool, lots of exposed stone. The gal behind the bar was really friendly and helpful. Definitely stop here if you're looking for a wide selection of beers.

Yelp
This place has great beer on tap. Good to know: 1. They don't serve anything but bar snacks up to 7pm. 2. They are not generous with their pours. The top third of your glass will remain empty. Perhaps opt for the larger glass as it may make more sense given this information - they will automatically reach for the smaller glass so you will need to let them know. The staff is friendly and the beer selection wide.

Yelp
I love this place by default cos there are so many delicious beers on tap. The space is cozy, personally I like it significantly less when it's packed, the bar in the middle with seating makes in particularly annoying to order so the best bet is a small group at a non peak time. Not that great for groups bigger than 5-6 if you want to sit (not huge selection so once again you'd have to arrive early). The beers are a great deal- various prices ranging from 3,50€ to 7€ for a half pint. They are a bit anal about the tab thing and I find it particularly annoying to give them my card that just hangs behind the bar.... If you're planning on getting a round make sure no one ordered before you say that cos chances are they already put that drink on their tab and won't switch it. Bref, I suggest paying by cash after each glass. Very great cheese and meat platter--- small for the price in my humble opinion, but good. Great for beer lovers.

Yelp
While I've been to some beer bars in my day, rarely have I been so excited as I was before stepping into La Fine Mousse. We were there for the Brasserie Cantillon's Zwanze Day, you see - a much-anticipated simultaneous sour beer release in the world's best beer bars. This is by no means the kind of place a tourist will just stumble upon. It's located on a small back street of a rather nondescript Paris neighborhood, not really near any of the major mainstream attractions. The Paris craft beer scene is still relatively new, so beyond the sour beer I was ostensibly there for, I was also curious to check out the beer culture itself. What I found was something uniquely Parisian - a motley crew of punters, hipsters and plain locals - it is first and foremost a locals' scene. I think some of the people in there didn't even know what Zwanze Day was, but they ended up toasting and enjoying the beer as much as anyone else. It was, in some way, a more "authentic" beer scene than going to Zwanze Day in the United States would have shown, with a swelling crowd of obsessive American beer geeks executing beer trades and holding impromptu bottle shares while in line to get into the bar. It was nothing more than a disparate group of open-minded people enjoying good beer, free of pretension. And for that, it deserves 5 stars. I think some of the locals were mildly annoyed that we had staked out one of the bar's better spots, on the couch. Hey, I get it. I get annoyed when tourists stroll into my local bars and take my favorite spots, too. Sorry - if it's any consolation, we very much enjoyed it! It was a lot of fun....good energy in there. Before the Cantillon orgy began, we made sure to drink a couple French beers. Most casual observers don't know that France also has a history with beer, not just wine - the farmhouse bieres de garde of northern France are some of the most food-friendly, drinkable beers with character in the world. Of course, I didn't drink one....I went with an odd IPA variant from a brewery I'd not heard of....and my Untappd is acting up, so at the moment, I can't tell you what the hell I drank, sorry. But it was French, I swear.

Yelp
This place is the first bar in Paris to offer a "purely" micro brewery focused selection (no Heineken, no 1664, no Kro). 22 beers on tap, none of them mainstream... It's a pretty classy place, if a little cramped, and the charcuterie is to die for :D I love the rillettes de canard... The ceilings are pretty low and it gets packed later in the week so going there to "prendre un verre" with a friend can easily becomes a real lively event - and you will end up leaving WAY later than you planned (and perhaps a little poorer than you planned too). The prices are extremely reasonable given the quality of the beer and the excellent service from the 4 owners, three of whom are often the ones serving you behind the bar. They can really walk you through what they have on tap and give you a great recommendation of what to try next. They have a good selection of French micro brews and they can get amazing things on tap like Cantillon. Plus they have a good bottle selection. I tried a delightfully hoppy and flavorful beer that was only 2.5% alcohol! The Express de Lyon will still always be my favorite bar in Paris, but this place is awesome.

Yelp
Unique to Paris but hopefully on the rise, this off-the-beaten path bar specializes in beer awesomeness. The chalk menu on the wall boasts up-and-coming brewers from France as well as new international stars. Probably best to go for half-pints here to sample the variety and not too get too drunk as some of the beers top 10%. I enjoyed the Zinnebir (De le Senee brewery), Page 24 Blonde (St Germain), and the interesting Saison des Amours beer (Garrigues.) To top it off, there was four-piece jazz band in house tastefully covering French classic by Django Reinhardt and the like really giving a movie-like ambiance to the place. Across the street is the fledging restaurant of the same name where you can have gourmet scallops, fish, bird, and mushroom dishes all paired with beer. Some of the pairings are perfect while others will leave you wondering how did they decided.

Yelp
Being a beer lover in France is not always easy. Sure, you have easy access to Belgian beers, but it's usually a fairly limited proposition and the main domestic beers are abysmal. The craft beer scene in France is actually taking off, and this is a great place to try some of the best ones. La Fine Mousse has various French beers on tap, from breweries like Brasserie des Garrigues, Mont Salève, Vallée de Chevreuse or Craig Allan; as well as other great craft beers from all over the world. The staff is friendly and helpful and the food is very good too. My wife and I shared a delicious cheese platter with homemade bread and pickled vegetables. All the beers I tried ranged from good to outstanding. My favorites were Craig Allan's Cuvée d'Oscar, a very unique Dunkelweizen, and Mont Salève's Sorachi Ace Bitter. For those familiar with Brooklyn Brewery's Sorachi Ace, this beer is developed with those same special Sorachi Ace hops, but instead of a saison, Mont Salève developed a very tasty session IPA. The location is cozy and warm, and it gets fairly animated with an obviously appreciative crowd of Parisians, visitors and expat beer aficionados.

Yelp
I'm sort of sitting here trying to recall this place, thinking that it was one of the Hemmingway pubs but not actually being able to place it. As it turns out it isn't, in fact it is located as far away from the Hemmingway pubs as you could expect - sort on in what could quite well be the hipster part of Paris (it seems as if the hipster, or bohemian, part of the city seems to change every generation). Anyway, now I recall that the reason I made the trek all the way out to this bar was because Yelp labelled it as the best beer bar in Paris. Mind you, since Yelp's ratings change regularly, it was the best beer bar at the time I had visited it, and it certainly deserves that title. Basically it is a craft beer bar with some pretty decent offerings on tap. Like many of these places you have a menu to choose from, and if you are stuck for choice the bartender is more than happy to provide you with some assistance. However, I did actually think that this place was pretty cool, and certainly would make the effort to visit it again.

Yelp
If you love delicious craft beer, this is the place to be! Keep in mind though, that as it is quality beer, the prices can add up! This is a place to go to if you want to really enjoy and savor a drink - not a place to go if you're looking to get drunk (unless you're prepared to drop some serious paper). Half pints cost between 3.50 and 7 euros or so.... It's a great place to try out the French craft beer scene, but they also offer international beers too. They have a ton of craft beers on tap, and that selection regularly rotates. There's definitely something out there for everyone, and the staff are super knowledgeable. (Plus, if you ask really nicely, they will sometimes let you sample a beer if you really can't decide.) This place is small and quite popular, so it can fill up quickly. You can order some food here (like tapas or planches) or check out their restaurant right across from them.

Yelp
Great beer bar! I went here twice while on my honeymoon. Paris is a great city, but one of the things it doesn't have is a decent beer selection at most bars/ restaurants and cafes. This place has an amazing selection, really nice bartenders and hip atmosphere.

Yelp
Fancy a beer? You could not find a better place! You can try many different beers from many different countries and the location is buzzing so great area to go out on Saturday evening. The price are reasonable knowing that you are tasting original beers (5.50 for half a pint) and we can relax and drink on a comfortable sofa while talking with your friends! Ironically I drank a fresh fizzy apple juice at this place (too hot for me to have alcohol) but I still mentioned it because this fizzy Apple juice was delicious and if you don't drink, no excuse to not go there you hang out with your friend beer drinker :)

Yelp
One day, after watching the sun set in Père Lachaise cemetery, I wandered lost till I found a wifi hotspot. I pulled up Yelp and looked for a bar I could walk to, and then I followed the narrow winding ancient stone alleys to this tiny corner bar at the heart of a historic labyrinth I never would have solved on my own. Though French wine fills me with joy and pleasure of course, there is something for me that is even better about beer, especially carefully crafted and lovingly curated and poured. And so I hung out in there alone all evening drinking French microbrews and enjoying the feeling of the evening changing from a few quiet sprinkled conversations about beer at the bar, to a swell of handsome Frenchmen and elegant women, with a smattering of British expats who traveled to find the best beer in the city and to make polite friends with me! Love this bar, love this memory, ah Paris!

Yelp
Although I love almost everything about Paris more than my hometown of San Diego, the lack of a craft beer scene here is one of the few things that I wish I could change. Even after six months here, it's still weird for me to go into a bar that doesn't offer at least four or five local craft beers on tap, if not three times that amount. I can only drink so much Kronenberg and Leffe before I seriously consider getting on a plane back home (ok, maybe a slight exaggeration). Luckily, La Fine Mousse is here to keep me sane- twenty craft beers from across Europe (and occasionally some Rogue) always on tap, with even more to choose from in bottles. Their beers are all listed on the giant board as you walk in, and you can look at their printed out menus (in English and in French) for more detailed descriptions of their drinks, or ask any one of the employees (also in French or in English) for help, and they'll be more than glad to help you. Although it's located on a small side street between the Republique and Oberkampf areas, this place is the exact opposite of the sketchy hole in the wall that you'd expect from a bar behind a children's hospital. Every single person working is so incredibly friendly and enthusiastic about beer, and I love that. It's always super clean too, no stale beer smell or sticky floors or tables. The atmosphere is laid back and casual, not pretentious or typical Paris bar at all, and there is always a good mix of people there. I usually find myself here two or three times a week, and it would be a lot more if I wasn't working on an au pair's schedule and pay.

Yelp
A great beer bar located in what I'd consider the Brooklyn of Paris. If you're on the hunt for a bar, good beer, and a place to consume it, please do yourself a favor and check this place out. Also worth noting, as was pointed out to me, they have a restaurant across the small street that serves everything and much more, paired well with great food. While I didn't have the opportunity to, I wished I had... so maybe next time? As for the beer bar itself, it's a great cozy place that made me feel right at home. Hat tip: Go on Zwanze day for special Cantillon releases -- if you're around.

Yelp
This place is great. Paris has, until very recently, been a sad city for the craft beer fan, but thankfully bars like La Fine Mousse are starting to catch on, attempting to save us all from the scourge that is Desperados. With 20-ish taps serving a rotating list of craft brews, this is a great place to discover new beers but not necessarily a place where you can go to get your favorite pint every night. They mostly have French beers on tap, as well as some from Belgian, UK, and US-based breweries. Their bottle collection is, as far as I can tell, small but strong. Also of note, sometimes they have special events where they tap kegs of awesome and/or hard-to-find (in Paris) beers like rare Cantillon or Rogue Double Dead Guy. The only food available is charcuterie or cheese, but honestly, that's probably all you need, right? Their terrines and rillettes are delicious and buttery. It gets really crowded later in the evening. Come earlier for seats, or if you want to chat with the knowledgeable bartenders. Pics here: http://dianeabroad.com/2012/09/02/my-paris-week-9/

Yelp
Craft beer is where it's at. Apparently this place is it. As a complete fish out of water I went here based on the other reviews you see. They were spot on. As I approached the place, I felt a little trepidation because it was a younger crowd. However they were quite friendly and I felt right at home. The proprieters were quite helpful and knowledgeable about their craft. This is a great place for those wanting to sample the fine beers France has to offer. It's 2 stops off the Republique station on the 3 line at the Rue St Maur station (1 block over). It's enough to make me want to move to Paris.

Yelp
One of the best nights we had in Paris was at La Fine Mousse. The selection of beers was really good and the service was great. We wanted to focus on French beers that we can't get in the states, and they totally helped us navigate our way through the menu. All of the beers were really tasty, and the food that accompanied the drinks (because that is what this place is all about... :) was fantastic. We even got some tastings for free which was really fun. I highly recommend checking out the beer culture in France, as it is really up and coming and this is a great place to start.

Yelp
Friendly. Great cheese plate. Great beer selection (Cantillon!) and tucked away in a very unassuming neighborhood. You can tell its a popular locals spot. Definitely worth coming to (if youre a big beer nerd like we are), even if it is out of your way.

J C.

Yelp
A 'world-class' craft beer bar on beer-nerd sites - plenty of taps, knowledgeable bartenders and nice decor... for Paris. I think it pales in comparison to most craft beer joints in North America. Obviously, the craft beer scene in France is nowhere near as developed and the prices are pretty high (standard for Paris, I suppose). I'm a hardcore hop-head and tried quite a few local pale ales -- all were underwhelming. It might be because I visited at the wrong time (seems they recently had a tap takeover from a local brewery), but the experience was mediocre. Suppose it's worth a stop if you want to check out the craft beer scene in Paris - but I honestly would just recommend enjoying all the wines in France and saving your beer adventures for when you're back in US/Canada.

Amanda B.

Yelp
My husband wanted to try this spot because it was rated "the best brewery in Paris." Not exactly a brewery but great on tap beer selection and fun atmosphere. Definitely more of a locals spot which was nice to get away from the tourist scene. If you want to eat dinner make a reservation!! They weren't accepting walk-ins and it was a Tuesday. If you're a beer enthusiast definitely worth the metro ride
google avatar

Robert T.

Yelp
Super friendly bar tender that spoke English and gave me tons of info on the local breweries. I was really happy to find some good beer in Paris after a week of drinking wine with my collegues. Wine is fine, but give me a good beer any day.
google avatar

Marco M.

Yelp
I came here for the selections of beers (which is amazing), but the thin that impressed me the most is the food. Balanced, creative, hazardous and yet really well made. I had one reason to come. Now I know the reasons were two.

Ryan B.

Yelp
Great beer bar with cantillon & other great beers available. They also had some American collaborations like crooked stave & jester king.
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic selection of craft beers and delicious small bites. There's a restaurant and bar by the same name, just across a small corner from each other. Friendly, inviting ambience in the small bar.

Yelp
This is a phenomenal beer bar located in a very local area of Paris. My wife and I walked to it from our hotel and felt safe the entire way. They have anout 20 taps and they are all great! The service was fantastic, and it was extremely busy when we visited. It is not a big place, but they do a lot with what space they have. Highly recommend for getting a good craft beer in Paris.

zehill A.

Yelp
Really great beer bar with friendly bartenders, good music, great beer, and an amazing charcuterie plate. Would definitely go out of my way to go here.
google avatar

Yelp
Smoked cream cheese with potatoes was thrown at me and I caught it with my mouth. Very impressive. They took care of me here, sitting at the bar. Smoked Geuze as well. Brilliant stuff. A great date place, but you might want to get a table. Sitting at the bar I felt a little on display, so other patrons should have covered my tab.
google avatar

Yacine O.

Yelp
The best place in Paris for beer lover! Just amazing. They propose hundreds of bottles and every single say have 20 rare and exquisite beers on Tap.
google avatar

Chris B.

Yelp
Best beer place in Paris by far. Great selection. 20 rotating beers on tab and lots on bottle. Love the American/British IPA's!
google avatar

Marah M.

Yelp
My husband loved this place and couldn't wait to go again afterward. They have great craft beers for around 5€ for 0.25 L, and they are eager to help you find the right thing. The atmosphere was cozy and not at all pretentious, in my opinion, though definitely cool.
google avatar

Jessica I.

Yelp
I knew I'd love this place when I was researching for my trip to Paris, and it didn't disappoint. The proprietors take beer seriously, yet run a lighthearted and friendly place. They play great music at a perfect volume, allowing patrons to chat about beer with the bartenders or talk amongst themselves. The place is cozy and lovely and the beer selection, hyper-focused on rare French and Belgian brews, is dazzling. They serve a simple and wonderful cheese and charcuterie platter. So why'd I dock a star? They allow children, and those children detract from all the aforementioned wonderful things.
google avatar

Jason S.

Yelp
An excellent beer joint in the 11th of Paris. Good tap choices and a great bottle selection. Awesome prices too!
google avatar

Caroline O.

Yelp
This place was absolutely wonderful! The ambiance, the beer and the bartenders were just great. I would recommend this place to anyone!
google avatar

Jillian L.

Yelp
Great place for craft beers. Even if you know nothing about them (pointing to myself here), the bartenders treat you kindly, without any pretension or impatience. Nice atmosphere. It's somewhat of a sausage fest, but a good looking crowd so I'm not complaining. They've got food (haven't tried it yet), but a better bet might be to get a crepe or sandwich around the corner near the metro.
google avatar

William D.

Yelp
Great bar! Half-pints of beer range from 4 to 6 euros. A bit pricey but real quality products (from all over Europe, many IPAs) You can't go wrong going there for a drink with friends/date in this happening area of Paris.
google avatar

Emily S.

Yelp
I discovered this place by accident. This is perhaps the only bar in Paris that serves almost exclusively craft beer brewer. The decor was simple, the vibe welcoming, and the location close to the Metro. What makes the experience disappointing though is that, I was seated near the CR. The toilet stinks, really was beyond nasty . The sink leaks water onto the floor and out to the tables outside.

Camden T.

Yelp
Great bar, but they sold me a two-year-old bottle of Cantillon Kriek without warning me that the brewery recommends you drink it within one year of bottling (says so on their site and label). Would've hoped they'd at least give me a heads-up.
google avatar

Matt S.

Yelp
Nice bar with a great atmosphere. Good beer selection. The staff could use a bit more knowledge about styles that aren't stouts and porters, but that can be excused since those seem to be the popular craft beers in Europe. If you are a craft beer fan visiting Paris this should definitely be on your list of places to go. My only issues: the pours are terrible! They always go with a rough pour that leaves you with an inch or so of head, once it settles you've been short changed on your beer. When I tried to comment on it the bartender feigned ignorance. They advertise growlers as being 20 Euros. Turns out that is the price of an empty growler (about a 300-400% markup). We were not informed of this and quoted 42 total euros after the growler had been filled (mind you at the time 30% of the growler was head, clearly these bartenders need help with their pours!). At this point I said no thank you and left. An easy fix would be to write "Growler: 20 Euros + price of beer". Then we can all understand what is happening. Most brewery's sell their customers growlers for around 5 euros and then the customer pays for the fills and handles cleaning. 20 Euros is an insane price and I incorrectly assumed that included a full. Again, this is a 4 star bar, a fantastic place. Fix your pours and your pricing and you will be a 5 star bar.

Lisa S.

Yelp
What luck! The highlight of our Paris vacation was stumbling upon La Fine Mousse. Discouraged by the universally dismal beer at otherwise charming street side cafes, finding this brew pub with it's wide ranging selections and personable staff was a ray of hoppy sunshine. I don't speak French but the gentlemen behind the counter were charming and helpful and never made me feel ignorant. The beers were superlative - award winning Saisons, tiny microbrew offerings, the diversity and overall quality rivals my favorite Bay Area haunts. The decor was simple and tasteful, the vibe welcoming, and the location close to the Metro. La Fin Mousse is going to convince Parisians to branch out beyond the grape to the grain.
