This is a great Italian/Brasilian restaurant in Rio. With good food and an amazing view from the Leme/Copacabana Beach. This place is unique in the city in a sense that is a place where several Brazilian TV, Movie and Theater celebrities meet. The menu offers Italian and Brazilian food. And feel free to pick whatever you like. You won't regret it. Last time I had the Oswaldo Aranha Steak, which is a classic Brazilian style filet with fries, white rice and the famous Farofa. Price is reasonable, nor cheap nor expensive, so if you are in the average budget you may enjoy some good food with a great see view.

This is a great restaurant to visit while you're on Copacabana beach. The decor is classy, with some kitsch for an old time charm. We really enjoyed our food, and the patio seating allowed us to enjoy the strand. The wine selection was decent, but there was little beer to choose from.

A traditional restaurant in the heart of Leme Beach, serving the best mix of Brazilian, Carioca (from Rio) and Italian food. We ordered the Calabresa sausage with onions, shrimp with herbs and carpaccio for appetizers and they were to die for. My main meal was a spaghetti with shrimp and it was fantastic. Definitely coming back next trip!

Huge menu (almost too much to choose from!) and pasta was amazing; cooked perfectly, great flavour and huge portion. Pizza quite sloppy though and fries undercooked. Great service.

An Italian restaurant in Rio -- not someplace you would necessarily have high expectations. We came away quite surprised -- our meal was very good. Great salads, wonderful fresh fish, and an amazing yet simple pasta dish. The one downside was the service -- another reviewer used exactly the right word: disinterested. Our server acted like he was serving us only because he had to and that tourists (like us) were so inconvenient.

Very good restaurant in Leme sector of Rio. You must try their desserts particularly the Cream of mango.

Location is excellent! My husband likes very much. But I did not like the risotto frutas de mar at all. I felt only a taste of tomato souse and garlic, nothing else. Rise was hard and did not absorb a juice in cooking.

Yelp gave this place good reviews and we were hungry. We made a mistake. The food was nothing special and definitely not worth the price. I understand it is right on the beach, but we had much more enjoyable meals at places further down the strip. The service was nice and helpful, but food was just.... blahh.

Decent Italian. Lots of vegetarian options. I suggest try the pizza With catipury. Also the chopp (draft beer) is quite cold and only Brahma is served

We came here on Christmas Day when most places were closed down. We ended up ordering falafels, mango orange juice, Arrabbiata farfalle, spinach ravioli and chicken Marsala. Overall great place, good food and good customer service. They customize the pastas upon request and their spicy sauce is the bomb. Highly recommend this ok place

Our server was. 5 for sure. Cute place on the beach with decent Italian classic dishes. The sauces were tasty but nothing was spectacular. The spaghetti was not freshly made which was disappointing considering you are eating out.

Promoted as the popular restaurant where artists hung out, but certainly, the food wasn't worth all the build-up. Average Italian cuisine with a view of the beach.

We ate there twice while in Rio for the Olympics and it was fantastic both times! We are back in the US and still replicating (of course not with the same precision or amazing taste) their dishes. The pasta with bacon was my husbands favorite and the caprese salad was divine! Their Rose wine and their service was the best. A "Must Dine" place for us!

STAY AWAY. Poor quality expensive food. We ate 2 starters and 3 mains and we regretted all of them. Dishes came warm not hot. Quality of ingredients was poor as well as the presentation and preparation. Will never return, much better options in Leme. MUITO RUIM. Comida muita ruim e caro. Pedimos 5 pratos e foram todos ruim, e caros. Nunca voltarei tem muitos melhores opções em Leme.

The "couvert", pizza bread basket, wasn't crispy at all, it was actually very soggy. Fish was below average. The menu described the dish as "grilled", but it was pan fried., making it very dry. The Vegetables were bla, tasteless. The price is way too high for what this restaurant is. Perhaps I should had ordered the pasta? For sure I won't come back to check it. The 2 stars are for the atmosphere and the outside sit.

La Florentina was the first restaurant experience that I had while visiting Rio. The restaurant has a perfect view of the Leme/Copacabana Beach. We did have some communication barriers with the servers, but eventually they understand my order (thank God my translation app). Apparently it was the first time that some one ordered Spinach on their pizza. The pizza was delicious. I gave the restaurant 3 stars because the service was not the best even with the communication barrier.

Not sure why the bad reviews. Went here twice and both times had great service and good food. Had the seafood pasta/spaghetti each time and was the best! Try this place and see for yourself. Will keep going back each time. So happy I found this place.

Went back and had much better food. Had a pasta with shrimp that was well served with shrimp and quite delicious. Would be willing to give it a third try after this.
