Please read all the low rating reviews before coming here if you want to have good quality food. Yes views and service are great, but the quality of food is very poor. Cold, undercooked and questionable quality. I got the bandeja paisas after seeing it was the most mentioned dish. I’m a very adventurous eater, except when the quality of the ingredients is in question. I had to leave most of my dish. The catfish soup was quite nice, although I didn’t eat the fish meat itself.

We did a day trip to Guatape and came here for lunch. Between the three of us, we shared the grilled garlic trout with french fries, salad, fried plantain (fish was cooked well but french fries undercooked) and the BBQ chicken with steamed potatoes, salad and arepa (expected more charcoal BBQ but it was more breast - it was still decent) and the portion sizes were generous. The third floor looked out to nice views and overall the service was good.

We stopped here with our guide on a tour. We got a great seat overlooking the water. The service was slow. I don't even remember my drink because it wasn't memorable. I think it was something with Lulo. I had the trout with beans and rice. They were kind enough to cut the head off for me before bringing it out. The food was ok, nothing to complain about but no reason to compliment either.

Tried La Fogata while visiting Guatape, the view from the second floor is beautiful, the food was delicious, great service. The food took a bit long , but the server make sure we had drink and appetizers ready. Will definitely come back.

What better to eat in Medellín/Guatapé than a Bandeja Paisa. I had my high hopes since that is their dish but it turned out a flop. It wasn’t as good as I had in other Colombian restaurants. The location was perfect though. The service was slow.

Can here for lunch on a beautiful Sunday and what an enjoyable meal! We had trout, ribs, and baby beef with an assortment of sides (Yuka, steamed potatoes, fries, patacones, AND salads) and the food was delicious! Service was equally good and great value. Highly recommended if you're in the area.

The view here is amazing. The trout was pretty good as well, well seasoned and fresh. The patacon wasn't so good, and the coconut lemonade was too sweet and needed some ice. Service was great, big shoutout to David. Overall, it is a pretty good experience and I recommend it if you are looking for a nice restaurant to chill in Guatape.

Yes, they are on the pricier side, but portions were huge and the food was delicious. We really enjoyed the barbecue chicken; it wasn’t Texas barbecue, but still good. The Bandeja Paisa dish was delicious and the size/variety was impressive. Sadly, the view that other reviewers mentioned was blocked by some construction, but it was okay.
