La Folie Douce Méribel Courchevel

Overpriced, poor quality food, and disappointing service Unfortunately, La Folie Douce Meribel / Courchevel was a major disappointment, especially given its reputation and premium pricing. First, you are charged €4 just to have your skis guarded. Many other high end restaurants in Courchevel offer this service for free, so this already felt unnecessary and nickel and diming. They also do not serve tap water, which is standard in France, meaning you are forced to buy bottled water at €10. The food was shockingly bad for the price point. A burger costing €48 looked unappetizing and was genuinely inedible. The Caesar salad was not a Caesar salad at all, mostly mayonnaise based dressing, two small chicken tenders instead of proper chicken, and very poor overall quality. My partner became really sick after eating it. The food arrived within about 5 minutes, which strongly suggests it had been sitting and was not made to order. Service was equally disappointing. Staff were rude and dismissive, cleared half finished glasses of wine without asking, and responded in a sassy and unprofessional manner when questioned. For the prices charged, you would expect at least decent food and respectful service. There are far better dining options in Courchevel that actually deliver on quality and hospitality. I would not return and would not recommend it.

Came here every day over New Years week and had a blast. The food was surprisingly tasty (especially the French Onion soup that was massive, cheesy and filling) - although expensive - while bubbles and aperol spritz flowed like wine. The shows and overall entertainment vibe was solid, seemed to cater a bit more to the family crowd than other Folie Douce experiences I’d had (Val d’Isere), but no shame in that. On New Years Eve the place was packed from 1200 onward and one of the most rowdy table dancing Apres scenes I’ve ever experienced. A can’t miss while skiing in Meribel 💯

This is a must stop place. You can tell the party really gets going in the late afternoon. We came before at 12:30. The food is pricey but that expected. There’s a cafeteria style food that suited our family. If you’re looking for the music and entertainment after 2pm looks like the sweet spot. The cappuccino’s were perfect.

had a great time lots of fun excellent atmosphere reservation required and not cheap but well worth it. after you leave this place you ain't skiing anymore :)

I just came for drinks and the vibes were great came on a Friday was awesome not cheep but so much fun

This place is a BLAST! A must visit if you are in the 3 vallees! Highly recommend making a reservation and having a booth to your group if you can swing it!

I’ve been to LFD’s in Les Arcs and Avoriaz and they’ve been a blast. Great food, great show, and packed to the rafters. So I was already surprised to see it half empty when our chairlift passed over it. When I put my skis in the rack, as you’d do everywhere else, I was given a ticket and the words “you pay on your way out”. What? So you’ve got to pay to store your skis and they won’t tell you how much it costs until you leave. So I took the skis back and placed them in the snow next to the restaurant, like I noticed, most people had done. Now walking into the actual place I was rudely shouted back … BY A BOUNCER …. in a mountain ski restaurant! And he was the rudest person, demanding to see the contents of my tiny backpack and not allowing any consumables through the door. I expect a smiles and a warm welcome when I walk into a mountain restaurant, not the Spanish Inquisition (but then, nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition😉). Anyway we turned onto our heels and went elsewhere. What a ghastly place, treating customers like that. Oh, and management, please don’t reply to this. There is nothing you can say or do to justify such treatment and behaviour.

A great spot to in the mountains to have a few beers and live entertainment, always good vibes when we come here.
