La Fonderia Firenze

Such a cute bed and breakfast! First of all Joan one of the people who runs the place was amazing! Such a warm, happy and caring person! She really help make the stay over the top! We stayed in the Ottone room, our 2 kids were happy to have their own space separate from us parents. We had access to the backyard which was lovely. Beds were good, bathroom did it's job. Breakfast in the morning had a lovely spread, no complaints there! 1 minor nit, in the upstairs washroom there were more than few ants, not sure whether that was due to the heat as it was warmer than normal. One thing to note about La Fonderia is the location. It is a bit away from the city centre but it's closer to the area where the local live and eat so diring on the other side of the river was easy to walk to. We highly recommend and would stay there again!

Great spot for a stopover in Florence – just a 15-minute walk to main sights like the Ponte Vecchio. Comfortable rooms, a cosy patio, and a shared kitchen area. We stayed in a two-level room, which worked perfectly with kids. Just a heads-up: there are mosquitoes, so bring repellent and use it generously.

We stayed here for three nights in October and found it a very pleasant home base. The garden, the breakfast, and Joan’s friendly nature were the bright spots. Each morning there was plenty of food to fuel the day’s explorations, and after coming back exhausted in the evenings we always found coffee, cake, and biscuits available….very homey! The rooms were a little tight around the bed and the shower controls were quite temperature-mental but otherwise it was a great place to stay at a reasonable price. Area tip: if you go to a nearby laundromat, there might be no detergent available. Suggest getting some beforehand.

The room with the patio was fantastic! The garden was small but very private. The hotel is located in a calm neighborhood and from there you can get everywhere on foot. The breakfasts were delicious with many options to choose from. The lady who greeted us there was also really pleasant and helpful :)

Cosy hotel with a very friendly stuff. We loved everything about this property: the design, good breakfast, friendly stuff. Big thanks to Alessandro & Joan for their hospitality! The atmosphere in the hotel is very calm and friendly. City center is just 20 min walk.

Very lovely little b&b. The hosts were superb and made a lovely gesture for us as we'd had a terrible experience with a robbery on our way from Pisa to Florence. They allowed us to park our car with smashed window in the private carpark and also provided a bottle of wine. The place was clean and tidy and the beds comfy (unfortunately I didn't sleep much due to the events but under different circumstances we would have loved this place) Thank you

Joan was unbelievably helpful! We really appreciated her advice as we toured throughout the city. She even helped our bags for us at the bed and breakfast for no charge after we had checked out. It was a little far from all the main attractions, but we had no issue walking anywhere.
