La Fontaine Boutique Hotel by The Oyster Collection

Absolutely everything was amazing about La Fontaine. Firstly the incredible warmth and hospitality of the staff, who were always on hand for anything required, without ever being overbearing. There were also so many staff, you never had to search for someone to assist. The hotel itself was beautifully and stylishly furnished, we had an extremely comfortable suite, We also absolutely loved the warmth of the lounge/bar area. Unfortunately the weather was not good enough to sit outside or try the pool! And the location was perfect, literally under a minute's walk to the main high street with all of its excellent restaurants. The breakfast in the hotel was delicious. We will definitely be returning to La Fontaine on a regular basis.

We spent the weekend at this gorgeous boutique hotel. The decor is eclectic African shabby chic. Lots to look at on every wall and one feels like you’re home at the same time. The rooms are huge and equally beautifully decorated. Even the towels smelt great ! Which my husband started teasing me about after I mentioned it 5 times! But most outstanding of all were the staff. Genuinely excited to have you and be of any service. We had a late night on Saturday and the barman was full of smiles and laughter and nothing was too much trouble. Well done to the GM, Kim and team. You guys make this the extra special spot that it is! Highly recommend and look forward to returning soon!!

This was a huge highlight of our trip to South Africa, which says a lot because it included an amazing Safari. Kim and Ari looked after us better than we have ever experienced. The customer service is five stars. This is an amazing boutique hotel within walking distance to everything. The breakfast is superb And they have thought of every touch. I would highly recommend staying at this resort whether you're with friends, traveling alone, as a couple or with family. We came with our four children, and it exceeded any expectations we had! We will definitely be back!

Wow – what an experience! From the moment we arrived at La Fontaine, we were warmly welcomed by the staff who greeted us at the door, helped with our luggage, and offered us a refreshing welcome drink. We stayed for two nights as part of our Garden Route trip, and it was truly exceptional. A huge 5 stars to the entire team, but a special thank you to Cecilia – she went above and beyond in every possible way to make our stay unforgettable. The rooms were incredibly spacious and so comfortable. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

We have just spent the most glorious 3 days at this incredible boutique hotel. The service and personal attention was unmatched. We have been lucky enough to travel overseas to some high end resorts, and can honestly say nothing has compared to the experience at La Fontaine. Kim was so helpful when showing us around and her recommendations were spot on. Cecilia went above and beyond to make my birthday celebration truly special and incredibly memorable. Xavier was a star behind the longe bar and our drinks were never empty. We will absolutely be back and will never stay anywhere else in Franschhoek other than this gem. Absolutely loved our 70th birthday weekend 4 to 6 July in this delightful boutique hotel. The staff were amazing so friendly and willing to assist. We loved the eclectic decor in the lounge and our garden bedroom and huge bathroom were perfect. It is well situated and very easy to walk into town to the shops and restaurants. Go and stay there you will love it!

We stopped here for a few days on our honeymoon and Cecelia and Zavier went above and beyond to make sure our stay was special from the moment we stepped through the doors. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt like this was the highlight of our trip. The breakfast was incredible. Room was beautiful and clean. If we come back to South Africa we will 100% be back here and would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of staying in Franschoek.

A friend and I stayed here for 3 days and we were really impressed by it. The hotel and our room was immaculate. The staff couldn't have been more helpful - absolutely nothing was too much bother for them. They provided a driver for us to visit a few places out of town when we needed. The breakfast was exceptional and the lounge bar area was really relaxing too. I'd love to come back.
