We visited La Fontaine during our short trip to Copenhagen and it was definitely a highlight. The atmosphere is super relaxed with a very cool jazz vibe. The live music was fantastic and made the evening really special. Very authentic, very charming, a perfect spot to experience Copenhagen’s musical side. Highly recommended!

Lovely jazz bar with two distinct vibes depending on the night. When the live band is playing, the energy is vibrant, packed, and full of great music — perfect for jazz lovers. On quieter nights without the band, it’s a much calmer, more relaxed setting. If you’re into live music and a lively crowd, definitely check their schedule and go when the band’s on. It’s a fun, entertaining experience you won’t regret.

A must-visit place for any live music lover! Through incredible fortune, we attended a concert right after their PA system was upgraded. Lucky for us, as sitting all the way to the right of the band still gave us great audio quality. This small bar was packed but the band was fantastic the entire evening. We stayed for all three sets and enjoyed every minute. Even with a packed crowd, we didn't have to wait long for a drink. Service was fast and friendly. Don't think about it - just go. You'll have the time of your life.

What could be a great jazz bar (had great music), however the venue allowed guests WELL past the bars capacity, to the point where no one could move and the door to entrance/exit was entirely blocked. The entrance staff knew the door could not even open, yet were taking money and allowing more people in. Standing capacity was beyond shoulder to shoulder. It became so uncomfortable that we exited not long after (not an easy task). The staff hurriedly pushed us out onto the street without even so much as allowing us to put on our coats in the outdoor hallway. Entirely rude, unsafe, and not great management.

Remarkable lil jazz bar - tucked away on some random backstreets it's the perfect place to finish you night - they have live music on specific nights with rotating players and singers. It's an iconic visit.

Great! Here is what you want to know: - live music plays ~21:00 to 1:00 on a Sunday - look up the schedule on their website - on Sunday, it's jam night. Other musicians are welcome to join after the first band warms everybody up. - you don't know what you are gonna get and that is super!

The place is truly an experience, comfortable, warm and with an excellent bartender. If you're in Copenhagen, check when they have lives and show up a good half hour before the beginning to enjoy a cozy, jazz evening!

Oldest Jazz Club in Copenhagen. Live music every night from August 26. Jazz steaming from the walls. A must.

Yelp
Really nice and cosy jazz bar. The drinks were good and on weekdays they offer a large beer for 33Kr, which is great! They played perfect music for a comfortable hangout with friends, on weekends they have live jazz! Also, what I liked was, that smoking was only allowed in a separate small room (no door, but still). Totally recommendable!

Yelp
JAZZ!!! Recommended by our hotel front desk and it was a perfect spot. Great little club. The musicians were flat out amazing. The ONLY reason it's not a 5 star is they allow smoking. There's a small ventilated room for it but you still leave smelling smokey. We would absolutely go back and wished we had a place like this at home.

Yelp
Typical and old school Jazz bar with REAL jazz music. Every night there is different live shows with a cheap entrance fees (40kr per person).

Yelp
Sweet place with a happy and cozy vibe. On Friday-Sunday, show up before 20:30 if you want a seat because it starts getting super busy just before the music starts. Once the music starts, there will be no floorspace, as people pack in for the show. Fun place with a ton of energy.
