Aesthetic interior, food is a lil pricey but it's also aesthetic--yummy too!

What a wonderful place so much variety. Everything is so good at the coffee is great. All the pastry is really good. The staff members are friendly and they like to explain about the things. I love in the oiled machine, coffee shops, like this super spacious and can accommodate many people which is important for the quality of the goods that they serve. Definitely I will be back when I go to Burnaby again.

Food was delicious. The drinks were really good as well~ probably amongst the best matcha latte I’ve had. Not a big fan of the strawberry cream roll as it was dry. I went around 5pm and there was a queue. Parking is limited, but there’s space on the road for you to park.

This place was recommended to us and it exceeded all our expectations. The ambience was lovely - bright, airy, and filled with greenery. The food looked and tasted delicious. Service was professional and prompt. We had a great time here and would love to come back.

I had a wonderful dining experience at La Forêt in Vancouver with my cousin and my former nursing instructor. The place is surprisingly spacious—like a gym!—with a cozy, stylish vibe that’s perfect for relaxing and catching up. I honestly didn’t know what to order because everything on the menu looked amazing—I felt like I wanted to try it all! The food did not disappoint, and the atmosphere made it even better. There’s usually a queue during peak hours, but it’s totally worth the wait. And don’t miss their cakes—they’re absolutely delicious and a must-have! Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving good food and good vibes.

We came with 4 kids during a family visit. We came on a weekday and it was busy but not overwhelming. I can see how it could be crazy on a weekend. The food was absolutely delicious. We shared every dish, Bulgogi platter, fried chicken (both spicy and not), mango waffles, along with other pastries. The front girl taking our order was friendly, food is fantastic and the decor was cool. Its not an intimate fine dining type place. Expect some overall noise with how sound travels.

The cakes look very nice and delicious. We ordered 3 waffles : Oreo, Strawberry, Mango, all 3 are so yummy. The size of the waffle can serve for 2-3 people. However, there is a little bit noisy and need to wait a long queue for making order (here is self order at the cashier counter) as there are so many people. Also, hot dishes are available at this Metrotown shop.

I ordered the choco banana waffles — the portion was perfect for one person (honestly, I couldn’t even finish it!). It came with ice cream, whipped cream, and fresh banana, such a fun and tasty combo. The vibe and atmosphere were cozy and pleasant, perfect for a chill hangout. For coffee, I tried the cinnamon hazelnut latte — wow! A really unique and refreshing twist on the usual latte experience. Loved it!

I remember a while back this location use to be a garage for repairs. Now from what we heard on social media, the renos had been done nicely, and hype is stirred. I wanted to see what they had to offer. To be honest, I wouldn't have notice this place, if it wasn't for social media. Their square footage is insane! There's a nice casual contemporary feel to it. Its also a great space for students or anyone needing to get work done. There's parking in the front, back, and in the residents area. I approached the glass display and the desserts are beautiful. The moose cakes caught our attention, so I chose the blueberry moose and the classic chocolate fudge cake. The blueberry moose cake was light and airy. Very well balanced and not heavy thick. The purple ish color is gorgeous. The shape is contemporary. Excellent. Then the chocolate cake. A good classic standard that will make you melt with each bite. I loved the experience. Most of all the environment is beautiful. Prices are slightly high but I felt there's a touch of quality and love in the labor of desserts. I can't speak for anything else, since I only came for desserts. Looks like I found a tiny hidden gem in Burnaby, to get office work done.

Yelp
Been here once but a friend wanted to meet for brunch and suggested La Foret. We were unaware that they had opened up a second location by Royal Oak. Went on a Saturday around Noon and parking was tough to find as there's only around 8 spots out front. There was a line out the door to get in, order, and get seated. The Jubilee location is huge and I can see it be used and booked privately for a corporate event or a private party. It has nice greenery throughout and they have various baked goods such as croissants, buns, cakes, and more with various Asian inspired flavours. They also have a great Cafe menu drinks plus various brunch items. My friend got the sausage platter and I got the chicken sandwich with a large jasmine tea. After we ordered and paid, a staff member seated us at one of the few available tables left. The sandwich was a good size and was delicious. Served with a side salad, it was perfect for brunch/lunch. Beautiful decor and atmosphere with solid food and service - recommend and see why they are busy.

Yelp
I've been to this location (that's about a 10 min walk from Royal Oak station) twice. The first time I ordered the chicken platter, which was filling but nothing to write home about. The second time, I got a sandwich with a salad. This place can get really busy over the weekend. Both times, there was a wait. Around lunch hours, the line extends outside the store. Parking spots are limited. 2 stars off due to allergy concerns on my second visit. I'm allergic to nuts and always inform the wait staff at the time of ordering. Perhaps, there was some miscommunication but I noticed that there nuts in the salad before I ate it. I notified them. They asked me if I wanted dessert. I was hesitant to get dessert because its far more likely to have nuts and I was unsure whether they'd get it right the second time around. They did not comp the meal and were quite nonchalant about the situation. I haven't been there since.

Yelp
This cafe is possibly my favourite location to grab a caffeinated drink and a sweet treat while studying or yapping with friends. It can get pretty busy on weekends and requires a small wait. The staff are very kind and help you find an open table. My mom's favourite thing about La Foret is the high ceilings and the incredible feeling of spaciousness which she doesn't often find at other cafes. The seating is relatively comfortable and the there are tables away from the entrance area which gets cold during the winter months. The coffee drinks are delicious and I usually sway towards a black Americano, latte, matcha latte, and Spanish latte. I've also tried many of their waffles and bingsu and I would definitely recommend that you share with another person given its portion. We got a Mango Waffle and Injoelmi Bingsu for three people as a dessert, and we were all incredibly stuffed with some leftovers. Their Bingsu is made with shaved milk/cream which is different than the other East Asian desserts that drizzle condensed milk over ice. This location is a 10-15 min walk from the Metrotown skytrain station. The 49 bus has a stop about 5 mins away from the cafe. The parking lot is quite small (~8 spots in the front and ~5 in the back) and street parking on that street is always full. On several occasions, I needed to drive a little further away from that area to park and walk over.

Yelp
Came here on a whim because my group wanted brunch + a great place to take pictures. This place looked really small on the outside, but it's HUGE when you go inside. I was so shocked to see how big and airy the inside was. It was absolutely gorgeous with the sun peaking in and the tree in the middle of the room. There's plenty of seats too! I will say for parking, you just have to find parking in the neighborhood, but at least it's free! They have a bunch of pastries + cakes in the front that you can grab and go, but I settled for dine in. The portions are HUMONGOUS. I was pleasantly surprised how much food we got for the price. My friends ordered the regular and spicy bulgogi burger. The bulgogi was very tasty. Another person ordered the spicy chicken burger. I think you could probably skip that one because it was just boring, but it did taste good. My order, the croissant sandwich was great. It was buttery, flaky, and the chipotle mayo sauce inside had a kick, with eggs and cheese. Coffee was just normal, nothing special, but the Spanish cinnamon coffee was yummmy. The service was quick and friendly. We got our food in less than 10 minutes. The waitress accidentally took my buzzer without giving my food. Brought it up to her attention and she brought it out within like 2 minutes. I will definitely be back!!

Yelp
A beautiful and spacious location in Jubilee Avenue. There was huge queue but it moved pretty quickly and we were able to get a seat on a sunny Friday afternoon. The ambience could've been enhanced a little I guess with some music. A giant ladder was there at the back which seemed a little out of place. I guess it was a very busy day with heaps of people, I need to come on a weekday to see if the ambiance changes. The food was really good. We ordered a spicy bulgogi sandwich and a earl grey croissant. Personally, I found the croissant a tad bit too sweet. I prefer their matcha croissant but I didn't try it in this location. My caramel machiato was okay. I prefer how they make it in the Royal oak location. But would definitely come back for the space on a quieter day.

Yelp
I brought my gf who had never experienced this eatery. She loved everything - food & the cool California vibe. The rating is both ours. Food: 5/5 - she couldn't decide for the longest time. Finally she ordered the Forest bowl salad with a cookie and coffee. I had an almond croissant and tea. All delish! They also sell cakes, slices of cakes, sandwiches & have a good selection of to go baked goodies. Ambiance: 5/5 - we loved the natural greenery inside with the big green umbrellas. It feels like outdoors. It does get busy at peak times. Try to grab a table while you can & have someone else order. Service: 5/5 - server was friendly. There's limited parking out front and at the back of the eatery. A great place to chill after work or to meet friends here. We'll be back with friends.

Yelp
I've been meaning to come by this location for a while now and finally got around to doing so What a beautiful location. It's big. It's spacious and well decorated. Although you do have to order before you take your seat and the food is brought to your table. Service is wonderful. All the staff are great and friendly. The food was so delicious and quite filling. We really enjoyed it. Although my friend got the spicy chicken sandwich and she found it to be VERY spicy but she still enjoyed it anyways. The only thing I would see it is not the most transit accessible. It's about a 10 minute walk from Royal Oak station for anyone who is needing to take transit.

Yelp
Popular for place for breakfast, lunch, and desserts. Some free parking available in the front and street parking in the neighbourhood. Always busy, especially weekend. Parking can be a challenge. Lots of seating available and open. For large groups seating available too. Line up to place your order & pay, your order brought out to you. Had the following which were * KFC Platter (soy garlic) * Bulgogi Platter * Spaghettini Amatriciana * Beef Panini * Spanish Latte * Strawberry Banana Smoothie After we finished, could not resist and had take out of - moist & light for cake. Flakey croissants and mangos were sweet. * slice of Red Velvet cake * slice of Blueberry cake * Mango Croissant * Earl Grey Croissant

Yelp
This place has such a nice vibe. I love the foresty feel to it. It's such a big place and it's always busy. I came here to try cruffins, but sadly, they were out by 6pm when I went. Most of the specialty croissants were also gone except 2 earl greys. I ordered one and was surprised they packed it up in a big box - I wish they had smaller sized boxes for small orders. It was really good material and gives the feeling that they invest in their ingredients as well. The croissant was fantastic. Filled to the brim with cream that has been infused with earl grey. You can definitely taste the tea. Well worth the money. I would like to come back to try their other flavors as well as their cruffins.

Yelp
I love this place! It's such a beautiful and open space to enjoy coffee and food. The line ups can be really long but it's because this place is so popular and for good reason! It's a bit too noisy if you're looking for a place to read or study but if you're coming here to socialize at a nice cafe, this is the spot!
google avatar

Yelp
The cafe had a nice ambiance and was definitely pretty, but the food didn't quite meet expectations. It's a cute spot to sit and relax, but I wouldn't come back just for the food.

Yelp
Forest/nature themed coffee shop just N of Metropolis. La Foret = The Forest in French. Parking is available both in front and behind the building, but there aren't enough spots. Fortunately, there is also plenty of street parking along Jubilee. The interior of this coffee shop is absolutely stunning. Mind. Blown. This has to be the single nicest coffee shop in the entire city. Not to mention that it is also probably the single largest coffee shop in the entire city. Add 1 star. I just stood and stared for a minute upon stepping in. High ceilings, large plants and trees along the entire middle section, and the seating area is large enough to house an entire basketball court. Beautiful natural theme, with wood trim and stone cladding. The only noticeable remnant of the previous incarnation (commercial vehicle repair shop) is the crane rail above the main counter. Look for the curved rail running the length of the building. Most (if not all) of the staff are Korean. Everyone was friendly and very efficient. Besides a bakery, this place is actually a brunch place as well. Bakery items are definitely on the pricy side compared to places like Breka, but are cheaper than places like Thierry. Brunch platter prices are also high, but the portion size is very decent, and everything looked good. My buddy thought the coffee was watered down, but I thought it tasted fine. The place was definitely quite full and bustling the entire time I was there, and it is very easy to see why. I'm definitely coming back at some point to try more stuff. Recommended.

Yelp
The first time I ordered on uber eats it was perfect but the second time it was horrible,my dessert was supposed to come with whipped cream and ice cream which was missing and when I tried to call repeatedly no one was answering so i won't give them a good review based on my last experience with them, they would have got a 5 star if they were as good as the first time.

Yelp
Aesthetic decor - high ceiling, large seating area, cavernous feels is one of the main experiences of eating here... and part of the higher price tag in the food. The place is packed and line up is out the door. Its a order/pay at the counter and than get seated kind of place. The staff there help you find seats so for bigger groups, no worries. I've come here with groups of 6-8 and gotten seating with no problem. But make sure your entire party has arrived by the time you place orders. Their food menu has a lot of brunch items that are Korean-Westernized inspired. They have KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) with fries that come with Wasabi-Mayo dip, they've got Bulgogi Beef with fried egg and toast, etc. Their food taste pretty good and pretty large portion size. They have self-serve area where you can get take out boxes and cups, which I thought was a smart idea. The desserts and baked goods look great and taste wise its OK, but not really worth the price tag; I would stick with their brunch items. I also got their Lavendar Latte this time around and it is SWEET - will have to tell them to adjust the sweetness level next time. But overall it's a fun place to hangout with friends and have something for everybody. Parking in this neighborhood is tough though - street parking in residential area in a narrow street. They have a small parking lot in front that can fit maybe 6-8 cars and is always full. They have a rewards/loyalty program.

Yelp
Finally went to this brunch famous restaurant on this long weekend. The experience was great, except that they were already very busy before noon! The lineup moves fast though. Reservation is strongly recommended on the weekend. The food, the beverages and the pastries are absolutely amazing. Not only are they appealing to the eyes, but also to the taste buds. You can tell how much attention to details they place on their baking and cooking. They make you want to try every single piece of them. We ordered: (You have to line up to order at the cashier while they will give you a buzzer-liked tag and bring the order to your table.) - KFC Platter (a new item) Korean fried chicken (soy garlic) with 2 medium fried eggs, oven baked potatoes, buttered toasts with strawberry jam, house salad and hemp seeds - Waffle and Fried Chicken - Mocha (dark/hot) - Brewed coffee (La Forêt blend) I liked it that they also have the spicy option (sweet & spicy) for the KFC. They also have 5 different options of how you want them to cook the fried eggs for you. You can also.choose between the oven baked potatoes and the crispy fried potatoes. The food tasted amazing! No condiments were necessary. So fresh. Gotta bring a big appetite to finish all! The waffle was black with a slight sweetness. So soft yet it had the proper density. Very satisfying. The fried chicken was so crispy while not greasy at all. Absolutely yummy! The Mocha was perfect. I had the hot dark chocolate version. The restaurant has reminded me of a university cafeteria - open and airy. They have woods and plants as decors. Even though some small tables are quite closed to each other, you still feel relaxed and enjoy the company with your friends. The place was only getting busier later by the time we left. They limit seating to 2 hours max on the weekend. They have 8 parking spots in the front and more parking at rear, plus free street parking.

Yelp
Huge cafe with a never ending line and greenery definitely gives the space a vibe. I stopped by for a coffee meet up and was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed my drink. I got their fall special - apple crisp oat latte - and it actually had good apple flavour! The caramel drizzle and cinnamon on top added a nice touch. Even though it was very crowded, the servers were quick to wipe down tables and show people where to sit. I didnt feel rushed to leave and enjoyed my time although it was a bit loud.

Yelp
We visited this spacious and cute café that is lush with natural plants & natural lighting! We were greeted with rows of pastries and baked goods that were packaged for take-out. Then came the display cakes full of cakes, specialty croissants or cruffins. The menus were on the counter with various choices of brunch platters, sandwiches, waffles, or bingsu (shaved ice). Everything always looks so yummy and beautiful - it's hard to choose! We ended up ordering the Waffle Platter ($24.50), Matcha Cream Cruffin ($8.25), a brewed Coffee ($3 for 8oz) and a Matcha Latte ($5.50 for 12oz). We enjoyed the Waffle Platter that we shared and it was nice that the waffles are made in house so they were fluffy and soft. The bacon was crispy and the potatoes were roasted well. Loved the hemp seeds sprinkled on top of the salad also! The Matcha Cruffin was SO delicious. Flakey, creamy, crunchy but soft. Yum. I found the Matcha Latte to be too sweet, even though I asked for it to be half sweet already. There wasn't that much matcha flavour either. You can tell from the duller green colour as it was quite milky. Overall, it's a little on the pricier side but the interior and staff are just lovely. Love that it's a cute café spot in Burnaby as I find there aren't as many in the area!

Yelp
The ample parking spaces and large seating area inside are appreciated. This place is busy throughout the whole day. I walked by and missed seeing it entirely, twice. The building is covered in greenery. Such a lovely visual. Verdant vines. Lush and pleasant. I walked in, and was unexpectedly met with the booming sounds of people dining. The baked goods looked too enticing to pass up. I bought a S'mores Cloud croissant. It did not disappoint, very flaky and baked with high quality ingredients. For roughly $5, it was sizable. Not too sweet, even though appearing to be a sugar bomb on the outside. It paired with my La Forêt blend brewed coffee wondrously. The menu offerings, for breakfast lunch and dinner were enchanting. Not a place for someone who is on a budget to come often, but at least once is advisable. My host suggested that I come in here while staying at the hostel. Which was a five minute walk around the corner.

Yelp
Finally got to try La Foret. B and I walked to this place for some after dinner dessert. I got a Strawberry Creme Cruffin and he got the Pineapple smoothie. B said his drink was not bad. I took a sip of it and found it nothing special. The strawberry creme cruffin is really a fancy name of croissant stuffed with strawberry cream but instead of the horn shape it is a standing cup shape. I would say go for their desserts but not for their drinks. They are always busy. Even the day that I showed up, it was a weekday and they were quite busy. The place is super big and spacious but at the same time they are very packed. I have heard that they have good breakfast items and I will definitely come back to give them a try one day. The one complain is that the person who took my order doesn't speak fluent English and has a very strong Korean accent that made it somewhat difficult for me to understand. On top, they did miss label some of their pastry items. Initially, I wanted something else based off of a label but they said what I was pointing to was the strawberry creme cruffin so I went with that instead of what was the label. Note That this is a Korean pastry / breakfast place inspired by French baking.

Yelp
Great ambiance! It is a huge open space where you can see everything. As we walked in the cafe, we saw a table full of baked goods, bread, cookies, etc.. then the showcase with a few selections of pastries. They all looked yummy! Their bread and pastries are Korean fusion that are pretty interesting such as squid ink bread, all black. They didn't appeal much to me so I didn't try. My hub, daughter and I just had early dinner and were full so we ordered 1 strawberry bingsu and shared. It was sweet with strawberry syrup and condensed milk with lots of fresh strawberries. Pretty solid nothing different from other Korean cafes. This place is nice to stop by when you're solo, with friends and family any occasion that you need to sit down for a while and relax. The parking could be a problem as there are only about 8-10 right in front of the cafe or street parking. One thing I noticed was the place was really clean considering there are so many tables. The staff makes sure the tables are cleaned after customers leave. Impressed!

Yelp
La Forêt Jubilee 6848 Jubilee Ave, Burnaby, BC V5J 4B3 Located just off Kingsway in Burnaby, La Forêt Jubilee is a bright and modern café that combines industrial design with natural elements to create a relaxing atmosphere. Known for its creative pastries, specialty drinks, and Korean-inspired fusion menu, this spot offers both aesthetic charm and culinary comfort. Here's a breakdown of the items sampled during my visit: Pineapple Smoothie A simple yet satisfying blend of pineapple, ice, and syrup. This smoothie was light, refreshing, and perfectly chilled -- ideal for a sunny afternoon. The natural tartness of the pineapple was balanced well with just the right amount of sweetness. Rating: 8/10 Mocha Rich, smooth, and well-balanced. The mocha delivered a harmonious blend of espresso and chocolate without being overly sweet. A comforting and well-crafted cup, perfect for pairing with their pastries. Rating: 8/10 Black Orange Cream Cruffin This squid ink-infused croissant-muffin hybrid was visually striking and delightfully unique. The contrast between the rich, slightly savory layers of the cruffin and the bright, citrusy orange cream filling worked beautifully. A must-try for anyone seeking something out of the ordinary. Rating: 8/10 Croissant Sandwich with Salad A flaky, buttery croissant filled with bacon, egg, and fresh lettuce. The ingredients were simple but high quality, and the textures came together nicely. The side salad was fresh, lightly dressed, and complemented the sandwich well. A great choice for a light brunch. Rating: 8/10 Spicy Bulgogi Sandwich with Salad Served on a house-made squid ink bun, this sandwich was a standout. The bulgogi was flavorful, tender, and juicy, with a subtle heat that lingered pleasantly. The squid ink bun added a visual twist and a slight depth of flavor that worked harmoniously with the meat. This is a creative fusion done right. Rating: 9/10 Ambiance The interior is clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. Abundant greenery softens the industrial-style space, creating a cozy and inviting environment. High ceilings and natural light make it an ideal spot for a relaxed meal or coffee break. Rating: 9/10 Service Service was prompt and courteous. Staff were friendly, efficient, and kept the flow of the café moving smoothly despite a steady stream of customers. Rating: 8/10 Price Considering the quality of the ingredients and the overall experience, the pricing is fair and reasonable. Portion sizes are generous, and the offerings feel thoughtfully crafted. Final Verdict La Forêt Jubilee is more than just a coffee shop -- it's a stylish, laid-back café offering a creative menu with Korean and European influences. From the squid ink cruffins to the bulgogi sandwich, the food is both playful and satisfying. Coupled with a tranquil ambiance and friendly service, this spot is well worth a visit. I'll definitely be returning to explore more of their inventive offerings.

Yelp
La Forêt is a really popular cafe and there was a line up when my friends and I got there! However, the line moved quickly and we went through the line, ordered our food, and sat down within 20 minutes. We wanted to try something sweet as well as something savoury so we got the matcha waffles and the bulgogi platter to split between 3 people. The food and everything in the restaurant was very aesthetic! Taste-wise, the food was good--the bulgogi platter was unique and the matcha waffles were loaded with whipped cream, strawberries, kiwi, ice cream, walnuts. I would definitely recommend the matcha waffles!

Yelp
Interesting dessert and coffee venue with Korean inspired French pastries. Self serve cafeteria style order and bring to table. Cashier not very helpful with questions on menu and doesn't seem to want to work here. We tried various drinks and pastries, matcha lattes, almond steam milk, tea, Nutella latte, mango croissant, tiramisu roll, matcha cake, red velvet cake, mango bingsu. Desserts and drinks are Asian style and less sweet. Nice alternative to your typical cakes. Wouldn't place this in the patisserie category. Overall nice atmosphere and good place for gatherings.

Yelp
Been meaning to come here for a looong time and finally decided to go on Mother's Day of all days. Line up was long that day, but it was expected. The staff worked as quickly as possible to get our food to our table. Everything was tasty but it wasn't spectacular. The disappointment was on the waffles that I was so looking forward to -- it was chewy, almost like a dense cake-like texture that I did not expect. I was hoping it would taste light but bodied and it just didn't hit the mark. The other savoury dishes we got were good. I'd like to come back here when it's not as busy and maybe the food will taste better? They're opening a new location in Coquitlam so maybe they'll have some new dishes added to the menu. Decor and the size of the restaurant were great otherwise!

Yelp
Beautiful cafe nestled within a residential area near Metrotown. It is always busy with a variety of food - pasta, sandwiches, cakes and even bingsu for dessert. It's not a very quiet place for studying but great place to catch up with friends. The spicy bulgogi sandwich packed a kick and was a nice lunch size meal.

Tina

Yelp
Nice place to chat with friends! Like the atmosphere. But feel like the latte in the cup and in the mug have different volumes.

Yelp
Super cute place to hangout. It's a pretty big spot with plenty of seating, tables for all party sizes. It's also a very bright and inviting space with plants inside. You order at the counter and then they give you a number that you place on your table and they bring your order to you. The line can get pretty long but it moves pretty quickly. My friend and I got the Bulgogi plate and split it. The Bulgogi plate came with salad, potatoes and eggs. I got an iced dark mocha and my friend got a Spanish latte. The Bulgogi was flavorful and tender. The iced dark mocha was good.

Yelp
Really good brunch! Heavy quantities. Nice place but I found it a bit noisy. A lot of choices for baked goods and meals that look all delicious. Nice service.

Yelp
My cousins took us to La Foret... and let me tell you, the vibes are immaculate. I love the interior (and exterior) design with the integration of nature in their cafe. It's such a fun style that makes me think of Vancouver. They have a wide range of pastries and baked goods. My favorite was the chocolate orange croissant. It was huge and I liked the flavors. Their coffee is also pretty solid. My brother got a smoothie and it tasted pretty fresh. I felt like everything was worth it. The service is a little chaotic but only because it was so busy in there.
google avatar

Yelp
Came for brunch. It is in an industrial area so would not have known about this spot. There are limited parking spots in front with some morning the back. This is a Korean brunch spot. The interior was very interesting. You choose different brunch plates and your choice of potato style and egg style. The food was really good. I purchased pastries to take home on the plane and the pastries were really tasty and not too sweet with unique flavours.

Yelp
My daughter and I came to La Foret with some friends and ordered the following: Orange Chocolate Croissant Oreo Bingsoo Vanilla Lavender Latte Raspberry Sparkling Lemonade We love coming to La Foret and this probably won't be our last visit, but if I'm being perfectly honest, the Orange Chocolate Croissant was quite underwhelming. I had hoped that the filling might be more of chocolate cream with a slight hint of orange in it. Instead, it was a completely orange flavoured cream inside. The only sign of chocolate on the croissant was the very small amount of chocolate drizzled on top of the croissant. It might as well have been called "Orange Croissant" as the chocolate was so sparse that it couldn't even be tasted at all. The exterior of the croissant wasn't anything special either. There was no crispiness or flakiness to the pastry. This is one of those foods that looks great on reels, but really doesn't live up to the hype. On a more positive note, we very much enjoyed the other 3/4 of our order. Oreo Bingsoo came with a slice of sponge cake on top, along with some ice cream and oreo crumbles on top of shaved ice. This was super tasty and refreshing. Easily the best thing we ordered that night. Our drinks were good too though, and I'd have no reservations about ordering them again. Service: Good Parking: Free parking at La Forêt and on the street. Location: 6848 Jubilee Ave., Burnaby

Yelp
The food was good. The waffles were really great. (tried off friends plate). Really filling. The service was nice and the atmosphere was great.

Yelp
A super cute, instaworthy place that serves food, desserts and coffee! You can come here to eat or to just work. There was a line coming in on Sunday noon but service was pretty fast. I got a Strawberry Cream Croissant and a Bulgolgi platter. The platter can feed one person and it was a little pricey for what you're getting. The croissant was delicious and I'll definitely be back to try the cakes. They also gave us free tiramisu ice cream at the end due to it being the restaurant's birthday which was a nice bonus.

Yelp
Wanted to update their review to 4 stars as I appreciate their prompt service. Been back several times for coffee, breakfast and grab and go buns or quick bites. This place is easy to recommend for dine-in service, many visit to work on their laptops or to enjoy chats amidst the natural lights and relaxing ambiance. Though this place is busy with line up and dine-in customers, servers are quite fast at clearing up tables. They even bring your order to you which helps to keep you feeling chilled when waiting for your foods. Dining wise - I enjoy their la Foret blend coffee lots and find the aroma perfect to my liking. I also like their spicy bulgogi sandwich with a small salad and would recommend pairing it with a creamy London fog or Spanish latte. I find the milk in the drink balances out the spicy flavors well. Parking available in the back and up front. Can park for free by residential streets too. La Foret sign is IG worthy photo stop :).

Yelp
I came here for the second time to try a couple different menu items and even their pastries! This time I ordered their basil pesto rigatoni and my friend ordered a bacon platter. Both dishes were so delicious once again. I was also surprised by the pastries! We had gotten them for a flight later in the day and despite not eating them right away (or even the day after) they were still amazing and not too sweet. The only thing I wasn't the biggest fan of was their matcha lattes which I thought was okay, but I would love to try their other drinks! Would definitely come back

Yelp
Super spacious and cute inside - I especially love the wide variety of baked goods and pastries. Bonus points for having a Spanish latte on the menu...my favorite!

Yelp
Delicious pastries and dessert. Waffles are a little pricey for a dessert. Beautiful ambiance. It can be noisy if you're trying to work here as it's always busy. Service was good. Waitresses bring your order to the table. Amazing place for meet ups and hang out.

Yelp
Korean bakery and cafe in the Metrotown vicinity. The front face of the building is covered in foliage, and the interior is very spacious with a lot of plants. Busy on a weekend afternoon, but people come in and out so don't have to wait too long for a small table. You order at the counter. You get the pastry items right away. You wait by the counter for beverages, and for kitchen menu food items they give you a beeper and bring it to your table. Tried a couple things while hanging out at the space. The black parmesan croissant ($4.25-ish) looked interesting, but tasted like a regular croissant with no additional flavors. Tried their matcha latte (~$5.75 for 16oz), and it tasted alright. Not much matcha flavor, but it's milk with sweet syrup so agreeable enough. The best thing I got was the choco-banana waffle ($17.50). That waffle was big as it's a full waffle piled with a layer of banana slices, two scoops of chocolate ice cream, mango pieces, lots of sweet cream, whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. Obviously very sweet. Waffle was nice and soft. Very filling plate, as I was barely able to finish it. Overall, thought the waffle was good, the croissant and drink were nothing special. It's a cool space to hangout though.

Yelp
Pretty good choice of food and pastries. Good customer service. Jam packed and can be noisy but we loved the vibrant environment! Giving 3 stars because their coffee didn't look very appealing and it could've tasted better. They were also rushing and we didn't appreciate them taking our plate the second we had put our last bite in our mouth - felt as though they were watching us! Didn't make us comfortable at all! 2 hour seating limit over the weekends. Line up can be quite long. But food is great and service is good. Decor is very stylish and people seem to love this place! It was evident through the big crowd and non-stop line up!

Yelp
This is a restaurant x cafe. This location is huge, lots of tables. But parking is limited in front and back and most people park on the residential street. (Feel bad for the neighbors). They open early and close late too. Also expect a line almost any time of the day - but the line goes by quick. Nice selection of pastries and cakes. They were ok, I didn't find them impressive. Perhaps it's because this is a chain and the recipes are the standard ones - reminded me of the same taste and quality of Tous Les Jours and Paris Baguette. The hot food items from the restaurant was much more impressive. We had pasta and really liked them! Will definitely come back to eat and try more hot food. This place attracts everyone of all age, gender and race. It's wonderful.

Yelp
They nailed two things I pay very close attention to: 1. Space 2. Quality of food. There are some coffee/brunch spots that I won't go to simply because they pack too many seats in one space, so no matter what table you sit at, you're always joining someone else's table....yeah awkward. With Le Foret, the space is quite large and the distribution of tables gives you a sense of your own space and privacy. Unless, it's one of those rare circumstances where there's a screaming kid in the corner running around with a mother who feels that others should be taking care of their little angel, in which case I'd just leave to save myself the headache. But other than that, the space is tranquil. I was surprised at how fresh the food was. Everything on my plate was super fresh....from the rosemary potatoes, to the croissant, the cheese and the egg, the avocado and the lettuce with a perfect serving of light dressing drizzle. A lot of attention was paid in the kitchen. The never ending display of sweets and pastries was ....well....food porn at its best. Incredible. What I could have done without was the whole...."No Outside Drinks" sign right at the entrance. I mean...really?....you've got this unique space with great food and amazing bakery and you're worried about "John Doe" bringing in his $2 coffee? So, were were sitting and I had my Starbucks on the table enjoying it with the food we had ordered. The girl came up to me and asked me to hide my Starbucks cup. A bit strange. What if I love your food but not your coffee? The question you have to ask yourself as a business is....would you rather lose $50 worth of business or $3 cup of coffee worth of business? There was another place that thought the whole "No Outside Drinks Allowed" thang was a swell idea, and as much as we loved the food, the service and the atmosphere....we never went back. It's the principle of the thing.....you know?

Yelp
Was in the area and wanted to read a book with some good coffee. I stopped by la forêt and it was packed! The decor is super cute, I loved the greenery. I got a strawberry roll cake and americano. The americano went down smoothly, and the roll cake was good although a bit on the drier side. There also didn't seem to be any plugs around so not ideal if you are working and need to charge a device. Regardless, it is a good place to visit and I would come back to try some of their lunch options.

Yelp
This cafe is so aesthetic! There's actual trees and plants inside. I've heard this spot gets pretty busy and it's true! There's plenty of seating areas. However I noticed that the outlets are all covered up. So if you intend on working here make sure all your stuff are fully charged. I think you can stay here for about 2-3 hours? As for the food, I've tried the ice Spanish latte, mango tart, strawberry macaron and red velvet cake. The red velvet cake was recommended by the staff and it taste pretty much like a typical red velvet cake. The strawberry macaron is okay, the design is pretty cute. The mango tart is kind of unique and interesting way of eating. The mango is sweet and the tart is a tad bit hard to dig in to eat. It does get messy but it tastes pretty good. It's not too sweet and the textures are good. The iced Spanish latte was just okay in my opinion. Overall, the pastries are not bad! Its a bit pricey here and you can easily spend over $20 in one sitting. However this spot offer a lot of options. They have bakery goods, desserts, and lunch. This spot is pretty aesthetic and would be a great place to chill and catch-up with friends.

Yelp
Every time I come here, their baked goods never disappoint! I highly recommend their mango cream croissants. $8 may seem a bit steep, but it's well worth it and the portions are grand. Their drinks are a bit inconsistent. We got two iced matcha lattés and they both tasted very sweet, grainy, and thick. However, their service was quick and their ambiance is quite nice, but can be loud and crowded. I used to come here to study as they have many tables and outlets for laptops, however bring your charger just in case!

Yelp
Fun place, a little loud as there as the floor is concrete and no noise buffers. Coffee is good and the bake goods eye catching and tantalizing. We had the Oreo velvet cake, matcha tiramisu and a peanut cookie. The cake was good. It too sweet and tiramisu was definitely sweet, hard to eat the whole thing at one go. Good place on sunny afternoon.

Yelp
$24.00 for a chicken salad. did not use real chicken (this pre-made chicken is really salty texture hard). from a roasted chicken - feta cheese - it's in the salad but really tiny pieces - lots of lettuce and fast service. the parking was limited. the young people work hard and are courteous but this french restaurant it seems not one person speaks english. ambiance: noisy excited and exhoes. i look around majority young people and a spattering of over 50+.

Yelp
Great place for afternoon coffee or tea with dessert. Earl Grey Tea cake is a must try. Deep tea flavor and goes well with a cup of hot tea.

Yelp
Another day, and another coffee at La Forêt. This place always hits the right spot with great service and coffee shop aesthetics!
