All the croissant products were delicious. We went twice in three days. The baguettes were also good and the sides generous. At 11 am they were running out of certain products so I would recommend arriving earlier. Around noon a man came and played guitar. All tables are outside in the trees and the little birds made the ambiance unique and enjoyable

La Franchutería is a little gem in San Pedro de Atacama. The pastries are absolutely delicious — fresh, buttery, and genuinely French. The croissants and pain au chocolat are a must, and the coffee is also very good. The setting is charming and peaceful, perfect for a relaxed breakfast or afternoon treat. It’s a popular spot, so it can get busy, but it’s absolutely worth the wait. If you’re in San Pedro, don’t miss it!

Amazing food! Amazing pisco sour. I strongly recommend. They offer water and give us a free entrance that was amazing. The staff were very patient and friendly. Their bread is also delicious.

Easily the most relaxed café in town. Love the vibe in the garden and the jazzy tunes. Coffee is delicious, as is the pastry. Their sandwiches look gigantic (haven't tried but I'm sure they're also exquisite). Came here literally every day during our multiple day stay in San Pedro. Highly recommended!

Good spot for a lunch spot. Sandwiches are huge and tasty. Staff were terrible though, to the point that we were nearly going to get up and leave when we waited ages for the menu then service. Similar when we wanted to pay.

We came here three times - the best cafe with excellent bread (the best we’d had in South America) and huge, fresh baguettes. The pastries were also good! It’s expensive but you pay a premium to have a fairly authentic baguette in the desert. The only negative was the service - some staff were great, others were rude and slow.

Not only is this a super cool place to hang. They also have unbelievably yummy food! Although I like sweets, I opted for savory and got two loaves of bread to snack on. The loaf with blue cheese loaf he’s really unusual and expertly marries sweet and savory in one. The loaf with black and green olives is fire! Love that one. The mixed carrot, orange, and mango juice was absolutely delicious! And I did sneak in a raspberry and white chocolate croissant which was divine. The service is friendly and efficient. Prices are more than reasonable.

Were recommended to try La Franchuteria by JLA guide Max. His selections have been reliable and proved so again. All my partner wanted was quiche and salad, with a latte for me. Efficient service and good food. We sat in the front room at the window table which seats six - worth booking if you can. Saw a couple of customers buying takeaway - not sure what, but could be useful if you’re eating en route. Not a massively French vibe and no bad thing as a contrast to most of the other places on the strip.

Yelp
Yum Yum Yum!! We stopped here three times on our 3-day adventure in San Pedro. The first time, we ordered a serano and queso sandwich (very light, refreshing and delicious), a salmon and cheese croissant (very airy), a double cortado and freshly-squeezed orange and mango juice. The other times, we stopped for snacks (various croissants), coffee and the freshly-squeezed juice (you can order a combination of orange/mango/carrot) and it is SO fresh. The "restaurant" is basically all outdoors - you either order inside at the counter to go, or you sit outside and there is table service. The tables are placed aesthetically between all of the cool trees outside, and it's just 10/10 vibes as you feel like you're eating in the forest. Overall, very fresh and tasty ingredients and great experience each time we went. Very timely and quick service too! Go here when you're visiting San Pedro de Atacama!!

Yelp
I loved this place. The vibes are so good because you are surrounded by trees which means there are birds constantly tweeting around you. Its kind of expensive but it reflects the prices in the rest of San Pedro so can't really complain about that because the food and drinks are tasty. I had a latte and a chocolate croissant that they heated up for me and it was delicious. I also had the vegetarian sandwich and the baguette was delicious and sandwich was huge but there was a bit too much goat cheese for my liking and it was overly sweet instead of savory in my opinion. The service was fairly prompt and the servers were very kind, a great place to eat and hang out in a chill environment. The menu was available in english as well.

Yelp
Franchutería, along with Emporio Andino, were our 2 favorite bakeries in San Pedro de Atacama while visiting the desert. We came here multiple times for coffee, pastries, and sandwiches. Their menu is pretty straightforward: hot and iced espresso drinks, savory and sweet croissants, and baguettes/sandwiches made with said baguettes. Many order to-go, and if you're dining in they have a partially covered outdoor area. We tried several of their croissants and found the "manjar" or dulce de leche to be the best. Their baguettes are also cheap and massive, and the smoked salmon sandwich was a very generous portion. We noticed they roast their own coffee as well. If you're driving, there is space to park right outside along the main road.

Yelp
Very good coffee and quality baguettes. My friends enjoyed the sandwiches, too. The menu is kind of small--I would have preferred more breakfast options. Overall, I liked this place, but think there are probably better cafes in San Pedro.
