Absolutely loved my stay here! Amazing view from the room, huge balcony, huge room, clean room and clean washroom, right vibe of the room, comfortable bed and every just perfect. The hotel is about 5 mins walk from city centre. It’s a beautiful hotel and has a very courteous, professional and amazing staff. The food is delicious, you can order small bites anytime from kitchen till 9pm which is great, breakfast/lunch/dinner hours the usual. Everything was just perfect here! CHEERS to the team there!

Recently returned from a four day stay at this wonderful hotel. Stayed in the new wing rooms which are large and have a small balcony with amazing views across the Harbour. All staff excellent, friendly and very professional. Nothing was too much trouble. Very clean hotel, and comfortable bed, and housekeeping very attentive. We ate breakfast and dinner every day in the lovely dining room, which again has amazing views of harbour, town and Castle. The food was top quality, and absolutely delicious. The hotel has a very talented Chef and kitchen staff. Delicious, well presented food was served to us by the lovely Waiting staff who made us feel at home. The hotel is very close to Candie Gardens, which is on a hill. There is a lower gate, not far from the hotel, which gives easier access to Candie Gardens. Richard will tell you where this is. We are both mobile in our 70’s, and managed the hotel’s private path, leading from the bar, which has some staggered steps in places, directly down to the town. This boutique hotel is well run, small and quiet, which suited us well. Thank you all for a lovely stay. We cannot wait to return.

We really enjoyed our stay of two nights at La Fregate Hotel. We thought our room, 107, was spacious, well-furnished and most comfortable. Through the picture window and from the balcony, there is the most wonderful panoramic view of the harbour, Castle Cornet, and over much of St Peter Port.||Breakfasts are excellent, prepared to individual order from the finest ingredients. Eggs Florentine proved very substantial, generously served with smoked salmon and spinach.||We dined on one night. Scallops were perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious, whilst a dish of hake was most tasty.||There is one aspect of the service at dinner about which we will comment. At the start of the meal, a trolley was wheeled to our table and bread was 'carved' in front of us. We found this part of the hotel's fine dining etiquette unnecessary - however, it amused us greatly.

We booked this as a last minute 5 night break and were allocated one of the deluxe rooms with balcony and bath in the newer part of the hotel. The room and the en suite bathroom were spacious. Excellent views over the harbour and to Sark and Herm. An easy walk into town. Shortcut back via steepish steps. All staff were polite and helpful. Food was superb!

We chose this hotel for a 6-night stay in Guernsey. Very pleased with our choice, as this is a lovely hotel. Very elegantly decorated throughout. Although it only has 22 rooms, the public areas are spacious. Our room was lovely, with a balcony looking out over the harbour & the other islands. Service was courteous, impeccable, professional & understated. Breakfast & dinner were both lovely, beautifully presented & with plenty of vegetarian choices. The hotel is on a hill, as most of the best ones here seem to be, so although the steps into town are manageble, someone with mobility issues might struggle to get back up!

Arrived back home yesterday after a wonderful stay at the La Fregate Hotel. What a lovely place this is.||We stayed for 4 nights and were given room 114, this room was very special, which fitted well with us as we|were celebrating our Golden Wedding Anniversary. |The views from our balcony were of the harbour and were amazing, a perfect place to relax with a glass of wine.||We only had one evening meal in the hotel on our first night (as we had pre-arranged to eat out for our other|evening meals in other local restaurants)|The restaurant in the Hotel was a superb experience the food was very well cooked and delicious.|The same has to be said for the breakfast. The restaurant staff are very professional, friendly, |which made our stay even more special.||The whole team has a very welcoming attitude and makes people feel very at home. To name but a few we have|to give a special mention to the following |Richard and Riham on reception, and Ruth in the office. We were looked after by Walter the restaurant manager,|Rishab and Abdul and others we have not mentioned, but they make a great team and they all looked after us very|well.||We had some nice conversations with Simon Dufty the General Manager who was always around to help and advise|to make sure that all was good for the guests.||We were so happy with our stay and could not make fault of anything, well done the team at La Fregate|See you all next year !!|Jackie and Terry Devine.

Very comfortable, well located hotel with friendly helpful staff.|Restaurant had great views and the food and service was excellent. I can particularly recommend the breakfasts and we enjoyed the evening meal so much that we used the restaurant on two occasions over a 3 day stay.|Comfortable bedrooms, again with a great view.

We only stayed one night, and it was a last minute booking as we missed our ferry, so it is hard to fully judge the hotel. The room was spacious and had a great view, but it was slightly disturbing to spot a couple pieces of trash on the balcony, including a muselet. The breakfast was decent enough, though I prefer a buffet to waiter-service for breakfast and the restaurant was the quietest one I have ever been in. The Channel Islands seem to specialize in staff who are grumpy and truculent, and this hotel seems to have collected some of the worst examples - as one example, we wandered through an open door into an empty space, looking for the reception when we first arrived and were barked at by two members of staff.
