The 48 Best Things to Do in Paris

"Spanning over 100,000 square feet, Dior’s flagship at 30 Avenue Montaigne is an extravagant celebration of the legendary fashion house’s past, present, and future. The storied address, where Christian Dior set up shop in 1946, underwent a massive revamp in 2022, ushering in a new, immersive way for design lovers to interact with the brand. Even if you’re not in the market for spendy saddle bags and floral-printed porcelain, you’ll still find plenty of value in visiting La Galerie Dior, a multi-level museum tucked within the maison’s labyrinth of buildings. The exhibit rooms are designed to encourage a natural flow throughout the space. So once you’re in, you won’t have to deal with any lines or bottleneck moments." - Melissa Liebling-Goldberg, Julia Eskins

La Galerie Dior is absolutely stunning place. From the moment you walk in you feel elegance and charm. Every room has different set up and different story. We purchased tickets 2 months in advance online, and waited 6- 10min to get inside. I saw some pictures and videos before I got there and still I was very surprised and touched with Christian's childhood and work throughout his life. We stayed 2.3h and I feel we could have stayed and enjoy longer.

Anyone who’s into designer and fashion must see this museum during their stay in Paris. I can’t even count the number of times I said, “Wow.” during this experience. From panels detailing Christian Dior’s family and life achievements to stunning exhibits showcasing his fashion designs, the experience was worth the cost and the wait. The doors open at 11 AM for ticket holders and 11:30 AM for ticket buyers. We waited until 11:55 to get in, and spent just over an hour to look at everything. I especially enjoyed the staircase alongside the rainbow arrangement of Dior items. There’s lots of photo opportunities inside the museum, so be sure to wear a cute outfit! The cafe at the end was also very cute, however, beware of the prices. With that being said, the wait for people without tickets is very long and excruciating on a hot, sunny day. I did appreciate them handing us umbrellas to use for the sun. nonetheless, I highly recommend booking tickets a few weeks in advance, otherwise they will definitely be sold out, and you’ll have to stand outside and wait.

Had to wait in line outside in the rain after being dropped off by Bolt car. We were in the shorter line since we had tickets. Once on inside the gallery. They held our umbrellas told us,no flash photos scanned our tickets and headed to 3rd floor. It was a very nice gallery and love the history of Christian Dior start.

Google
What’s great visit, I am not into fashion like my wife but found Dior story very interesting and gallery was a great visit. If you are going to be making a purchase in the store probably do not need tickets. We arrived early and made a purchase they held our items and walked us past the wait line. Also book lunch while you’re there. The restaurant inside the store was really good.

Spend your day caught up in the glitz and glam of The Dior Gallery A must see when visiting Paris, we waited 1 hour 30 mins to get in but was so worth it. Buy your tickets in advance like 2/3weeks before you wish to go, although you can wait in queue outside (opens at 11:30) The lovely staff handed us a umbrella to shade us from the sun ☀️ Absolutely loved learning about all the inspiration for the dresses and seeing them out on show 💕

Incredible museum. I’m a big fan of fashion so for me it was an unforgettable experience. It tells and demonstrates the history of Christian Dior, his works and masterpieces he created. Also they have a souvenir shop and his first office is located near the gallery. I am sure that every woman in this world needs to visit this place at least once in their life.

This is couture heaven! It is also the most clever presentation of fashion and a real experience. From the moment you walk in and are faced with a sinuous staircase surrounded by a rainbow of Dior accessories. Going up the lift to commence the tour which takes you through several levels and different spaces and experiences. The drama of the journey is about the rooms as well as the clothes and accessories. Totally amazing.

Google
Stunning does not even begin to describe the experience. Gorgeous couture in an artistic setting, each piece of art impeccably crafted and set in a unique setting. One of our highlights from our trip to Paris! Highly recommend reservations!

Yelp
If you're a fashion fan--or even if you're not--Dior Gallery is definitely worth a visit when in Paris. The museum is stunning, both inside and out, with beautiful architecture that adds to the overall experience. We visited during the holiday season, and it was truly magical, with festive decorations enhancing the experience . So much eye candy ! You do need to reserve your tickets in advance for a timed entry , but once you're inside you can take your time on a self guided tour. It's amazing! The beautiful dress displays and the cool stories behind them . We very much enjoyed our visit . After you do the tour it ends at the Dior cafe . It's not the best coffee or sweets , but we still ended up ordering an espresso just to sit and relax . They have nice clean bathrooms . Entry cost is very reasonable. Highly recommend for a visit :)

Yelp
Spectacular! Please go it's truly beautiful! Words don't do this exhibit justice! I bought tickets ahead of time because I missed this on my past visit to Paris. There were people on the stand by line that got in, but I'd recommend getting tickets since that didn't work last time I was there. Well worth the ticket price.. I believe it was around 15 Euros.

Yelp
Wow - so well done! Highly recommend if you love fashion. Not to be missed and you are in the golden triangle of fashion when you are done. Recommend you buy a ticket in advance.

Yelp
A really unique museum. Unfortunately, by the time we were referred to it, tickets were sold out, but we took the chance and headed there for a shot at a walk-in. We had to wait a while, but we were able to gain entrance. Upon entering, you see a spiral staircase with a rainbow of Dior products. You take the elevators up. There are several rooms, some set up like basic museum exhibits and some more immersive with lighting and decorations. It was interesting seeing the history of Dior and the influences on the brand throughout the decades, and of course seeing all the gorgeous clothing. A really cool museum to visit in Paris, but recommend buying tickets ahead!

Yelp
Unbelievably incredible. Even my husband who couldn't care less about Dior, fashion, or art for that matter loved this. It does seem that the exhibits change often-for example we were there in October 2024 and there was a garment worn by a celebrity the week before on display, plus many looks form the Olympic ceremonies this past summer. If you're a fashion guru you have to stop here. ICONIC right off the bat-as soon as you walk in you will the the New Look. I wasn't expecting to see that up so close or so soon. I plan to return on every visit to Paris now. Definitely make a reservation way in advance (we did ours 2 months in advance I believe) because there will be a very long line to get in and you may not.

Yelp
A small museum but very much worth visiting. A large quantity of Mr Dior dresses are beautifully displayed, and you should plan between one and two hours to see all of them. You also learn about the man and the luxury brand he created. I recommend buying the tickets in advance as the space is limited and the lines can be long. Totally worth it!

Yelp
La Galerie Dior was an exquisite experience. We arrived on time by three minutes a cause de the traffic. Note: If your tickets are for 11:00 am you want to be there at least 30 minutes before but if you're not able to get there 30 minutes before as long as you have paper copies of your tickets. Yes, you can have digital versions but the word I heard was it is preferred to have paper copies. NOTE: I had read online that the Galerie Dior was climate-controlled and it might be. I had understood it to be cold so we were wearing jackets. It was not cold inside at all but very warm. It was cumbersome to carry jackets and look at all the exhibits. My advice would be to skip any big bulky winter jackets. Once you go inside, it's stunning. Take a moment to stare at the showcase surrounding the stairs and enjoy the views. After admiring the collection get in the elevator to the third floor and begin your journey. You start with a history of the Dior family and then weave your way through multiple exhibits including dresses. NOTE: Do not stand too close to the dresses or try to bypass those who are taking a longer time as warning sensors will activate. We were a guest to an orchestra of beeping throughout the third floor. The dresses are a sight to be seen. It was an amazing experience and I won't add any spoilers but enjoy every step in the world of Fashion and see it through Christian Dior's eyes. We did enjoy a break at their cafe. It was uber haute culture and I felt severely underdressed but the desserts and the coffee were top-notch. For the four of us, coffee, drinks, and desserts was 78 euros. I recommend La Galerie Dior as a visit for your time in Paris

Yelp
Highly recommend booking this fashion museum while in Paris. It books in advance so make sure to coordinate a timed ticket for your trip when planning ahead. The first room was backed up with a line but once you get through that - there is an endless number of rooms and exhibits and high fashion with all roads leading back to Dior. For fashion and history lovers, this is a great exhibit to check out!
google avatar

Lara G.

Yelp
This attraction came highly recommended by friends who recently came to Paris and we thought it was definitely worth a visit. The dresses on display are just absolutely gorgeous. If this is something you are thinking about though definitely book a timed ticket in advance, the queue outside for those without tickets was quite long, even in the rain.

Yelp
The exhibit changes over ever so often to create a new experience. Truly superlative. The design and organization of this museum/gallery are exquisite.

Yelp
Wow this place is a cute friend date, mom and daughter date, and even a solo date! I love the history and all the designs. I don't own a lot of dior but the different dresses and bags was just pretty to look at. I would recommend getting a ticket before so you don't have to wait too long. Overall I had an amazing time and highly recommend

Yelp
A very unique museum in Paris and got to know more about Mr Dior and his creations...there are a lot of valuable pieces at the museum and the rooms were so pretty. You will need about 2 hours to look through everything.

Yelp
We weren't sure what to expect but the experience certainly blew us away and exceeded expectations. The tour consists of 13 sections/rooms, each filled with wonderful history/story/interactive. Very well assembled galerie. We spent about 1.5 hours in the space. Note the pieces are not original, but rather recreated.

Yelp
I LOVED! I took my 12 year old daughter here during our first morning in Paris, while my husband and boys explored the local science museum. The line was long to get in, but we were able to skip the line thanks to the tickets our concierge secured. And then we went from room to room admiring all of Dior's work. It was definitely the most beautiful museum I've been to in a long time. I could have spent longer there, but my 12 year old rushed thru and I did my best to keep up. She definitely enjoyed it, but didn't feel the need to read much..for all it was all about admiring the beautiful clothes and some IG worthy photos. We ended the tour with beverages in their lovely cafe before doing some shopping in the area.

Yelp
WOW! Very impressive gallery showcasing the history of the atelier and its many classic and elegant pieces. This experience was further elevated by Masoud who gave us a private tour of the gallery before opening. What a wonderful experience!

Yelp
Extraordinary!!! Wait in line, you'll be rewarded beyond imagination. The history of this designer and the empire he built through years of struggle and personal suffering and eventual triumphant success in the fashion world are exquisitely illustrated in this palatial gallery. It's. full of surprises too!

Yelp
I missed the traveling version of the exhibit when it was in Brooklyn. At first, I thought the ticket was overpriced, but once inside, the experience is absolutely worth the lines and everything else. My advice is to save your phone battery for later as the museum takes its time in unfolding the wonder of Dior. After the famous rainbow wall, it can seem a little underwhelming at first but there are many rooms and wonderful surprises to come. They do not cut corners on showing the history of the house, though personally I would have liked a little more insight on some of the bigger designer names and their inspiration and vision and process. One of the most special parts of the experience is actually being able to speak with an experienced craftsperson. Had my phone not been dying, I would have loved to linger and ask questions. Of course, the equally exquisite store is right next door and it is very difficult not to make a purchase after you've been mesmerized by the beauty and glamour of this museum. I will also add that both at the museum and the store next door the staff seems to have been trained to try and give you that sense of Dior glamour and exclusivity in entering the buildings even if things have changed much in the intervening decades. Even dressed down, there's a sense of magic being invited into the hallowed halls and the lovely staff is a big part of weaving that illusion.

Yelp
Absolutely stunning! One of the best museum experiences I've been to. Went there with my three kids and husband. My teenage girls ages 15 were in awe. My husband was even impressed! It is absolutely a must do if you love Dior or fashion and history. Elegantly put together and an incredible amount of love and attention in the exhibit that said You're not overwhelmed with details. Not only the dresses are gorgeous, but every room is so meticulously designed and gives a completely different atmosphere. These bought the tickets online. When we arrive, there was a bit of a queue but only had to wait less than 10 mins. It took us about 1.5 hours to get through. Prolly could have been less but I am a huge fan of Dior so ww really took my time. The last room was unbelievable...I was so floored and amazed. I literally almost cried because it was so breathtaking and moving. My photos and videos do not do it justice.

Eliana J.

Yelp
Prancing past designer windows, dreaming of luxury is an inevitable part of the Parisian experience: La Galerie Dior makes those dreams a reality. You don't need to be a fan of Haute Couture, or have a care about fashion to be able to appreciate the artistry and global inspiration embedded in the Dior brand. The designer's history is beautifully curated colorfully and chronologically from his early childhood through his life-long legacy that continues to influence modern fashion and self-expression. Every room is thematically organized by collection; each capturing the essence of the clothing. The Dior Cafe is an unexpected surprise awaiting the end of the experience, and while expectedly overpriced, the desserts were uniquely good.

Yelp
Excellent museum to explore if you are into couture and design. I really gained an appreciation of fashion and realized I need to step up my game.

Roxana Q.

Yelp
So beautiful & amazing! This was definitely one of the highlights of my trip. If you love fashion, I highly recommend you come here. Make sure to book in advance as the queue gets long. Many iconic dresses here such as the good dress Charlize Theron wore in the J'Adore Dior perfume commercials, many award ceremony dresses, a dress worn by Princess Diana, Elizabeth Taylor, the list goes on. They also take you through the eras of Dior designers. Seeing all the Galliano pieces in person was breathtaking. Such a shame how things ended for him. Designs were brilliant. 10/10. I would definitely go again.

Yelp
A MAGICAL, must - do exhibit in Paris. You don't have to like Dior, or even love fashion to appreciate this glimpse into the Maison Christian Dior's universe. And any appreciation for fashion and or fashion history would make this just that much better. The exhibit is adjacent to the famous storefront, at 30 Avenue Montaigne. It's a magical walkthrough of 70 years of Dior's history in 13 parts. It starts with Christian Dior's childhood and personal life, includes hundreds of dresses in the flesh, and is completed with the succession of his brand, by designers like Raf Simons and Maria Grazia. And at the very end of the immaculate collection is an exquisite little cafe that is perfectly glamorous, haute couture, and Parisian. We purchased our tickets online a couple weeks before visiting and many time slots were already gone. So book ahead! And as is the case for all museums/galleries, the earlier you go the less busy and therefore the more enjoyable. I think the only downside to this experience is that they do let in a lot of people at a time and the space is quite tight and the fonts are quite small. The "Dior" ness attracts a lot of people who aren't interested in actually appreciating or learning, and soooo the audience can be a little disruptive to the magic.
google avatar

Nina N.

Yelp
The most BEAUTIFUL gallery I've ever been to! I'm not that into fashion, but it was still such an amazing experience. I loved looking at all the dresses and learning more about Christian Dior. Highly recommend booking in advance for time slotted tickets, though the stand-by queue is very empty towards the last entry times. Still amazed!

Yelp
A must do activity in Paris for fashion lovers! One of the best experiences during my recent trip. Exhibit was aesthetically pleasing and informative. Loved viewing the vintage Dior pieces, amazing to see how timeless some of the fashion was. Would recommend reserving tickets in advance.

Yelp
This was a fun exhibit. Even if you are not particularly interested in fashion, it is cool to see vintage clothes & learn the history of Dior. This is a fun way to spend an hour.

Yelp
A must go to when in Paris- besides the gorgeous store there is a chic cafe where you can get a drink and some snacks- def a great place if you're lookin to take some photos
