We stayed overnight after finishing Caminito :) Hotel is designed in a style of "climbing", we just loved it! We booked duplex room and unless people are really oversized, there is no problem to go to the upper floor. Bed was very comfortable, shower was just amazing! We had also dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. We had tasty meals and incredible views. It is not a luxury place but perfect cozy spot for people who love outdoor activities.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, set in a truly picturesque location with outdoor activities right at the doorstep. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive throughout our visit, making us feel right at home. Special thanks to Lidia for looking after our group for four days and being so flexible with our needs! The restaurant offered beautiful views and excellent food at very reasonable prices. While the rooms were a bit noisy, the beds were comfortable. I also appreciated the hotel’s commitment to sustainability, with their efforts to reuse materials wherever possible. Overall, a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend!

Absolutely beautiful hotel restaurant and bar. I cannot rate the rooms as I did not stay here. We visited after the caminito del Rey. The outside dining area is just fabulous with stunning views of the lake and surrounding hills and gorge. Very friendly and attentive staff.

Though this location is a little out of the way from the climbing sites, it’s a wonderful place to stay and rest. The breakfast is amazing and the staff are great too. Not forgetting the awesome views that await you while you’re having your meals or just sitting around to soak in all the good vibes. If the hotel ever provide transport to the climbing sites, I am pretty sure that they will attract many other climbers who prefer to have a “luxurious” stay after climbing. One thing to note though is that the room service is a little inconsistent so sometimes they change towels, sometimes they don’t. Also, toilets rolls/shampoo/body capsules may or may not be topped up. But that doesn’t bother us at all. We stayed for 5D4N and pretty much tried the various items in their breakfast menu. You could also ask the restaurant to pack a sandwich for you if you’re heading out to climb. Worthy to have the breakfast option and do check out their dinner menu too. All in all, perfect stay and we will visit again. Info for others: Towels, hairdryer, shampoo, body foams, tea, coffee are provided. Bottled water is only provided for the first day. No toothbrush/toothpaste, no room slippers (pls bring your own). Fridge, heater, kettle, coffee machine and hot water are available. USB standard ports are available but were a little slow.

We had a lovely ground floor room by the pool. The room was clean, a good size and suited us for a week's stay. We enjoyed the pool several times, which was also of a decent size. The views from dinner and the pool were spectacular - of the gorge and Caminito del Rey. We had really good breakfasts - essentially as much as you want and with fresh fruit and orange juice as well as both hot and cold mains. We usually ate in the restaurant, which had a broad menu and a good range of wines. The staff were always kind and helpful. We think most people come for a short trip, to walk the Caminito, but were in El Chorro for rock climbing and felt we enjoyed the best local accommodation and food.||Our only issue was with breakfast, which started at 8am, and the first bus to the Caminito left at 8.40am. This was a tight schedule on the day we did it. More importantly, some days there was a huge influx of people not staying in the hotel who came for breakfast/or a coffee and these seemed very much to have precedence over hotel guests. The problem was really just from 8-9am, but the staff were then overworked, overstretched and it was not a good experience for guests or staff. We would advise leaving breakfast until 9am if possible, but the hotel administration bears a responsibility to sharpen up the process by which they deal with these breakfast pressures.

Wonderful hotel and very convenient for doing the Caminito del Rey. The restaurant is also excellent with a delicious choice of food. I recommend you to take shower gel though because the rooms have small pellet type capsules with gel and shampoo, they dissolve with water but they are not very efficient and when they do eventually explode there is barely enough soap to wash with. We had to use the minuscule hand soap provided to wash, which I thought was very odd considering the price of the room.

We have visited this hotel and restaurant regularly over the past 8 years, this is our first visit this year. We like El Chorro, it is exceptionally beautiful and is a pleasant drive from the coast, we know all the roads to take to see the best views. This visit, we encountered a huge increase in tourist coaches making the narrow roads a bit of a nightmare, obviously a result of the increased tourism on the coast. |The outside restaurant area has been improved with a new roof but more noticeable to us, is the extra seating, I would think there are about 33% more seats available. Anyway, arrived without a booking and were surprised and lucky to get the only available table as a small group were just leaving. There was no welcome as such and I felt we were just another lot of tourists. The new menu looked OK, very Spanish which we have enjoyed over the years. We ordered 1x carbonara, 1x hamburger 1x cheeses with jam and 1x Humus, (all not very Spanish!) we have tried the whole menu over the years but this visit we didn’t feel adventurous. All the meals we chose were not good. The carbonara was very hot (good) but had a very unpleasant taste, having read comments on various sites this is because they use oxtail in the ingredients! The hamburger was well cooked on the outside but the inside was almost rare. The hamburger fell apart, there was no ‘meat’ to it, very disappointing. The humus had an unusual taste and had large black seeds decorating the surface which looked like insects, very very weird and unappealing. The humus also tasted strange, not what we have experienced before. Lastly, the Cheeses (for sharing) at €22 the most expensive plate on the table, well I’m sorry I didn’t take a photo! Such a small amount of very ordinary cheeses, all cut quite thinly, an absolute disgrace to such provide a small and bland cheese board. So without going on any more about service etc we left and went home where my wife had violent diarrhoea all evening, something she has never experienced in years. So I would say that this restaurant has expanded beyond their capabilities. We won’t be going again unless it’s just for snack and a drink. The views are spectacular you must book to get a seat with a view.

The location is great, handy for the Caminito Del Rey. Our room was very nice with good aircon. The pool area also very nice. But the restaurant is very mediocre and lets the hotel down. The menu isn’t great, the food so-so and the service pretty poor. A shame because the view from the terrace is superb.
