An amazing hotel with very modern rooms that look like they've been carved out of the rocky hill it sits on! Hi tech bathroom with ambient coloured lighting (you choose the colours!) ...but you need an engineering background to work out the many controls and switches, and I never did get the shower to work as I wanted.||The extra shower over the bath didn't drain away very well, but ironically, when I tried to have a bath (double bath size!) the plug wouldn't work, so I gave up.||The pool, gardens and incredible views just make your jaw drop ...||The food was very good (we had the three course set meal each night) but the serving staff were much too quick at rushing away before you got a chance to ask what you were eating (no menu provided) ....or any question really.||Right next door to the Caminito Del Rey gorge walk entrance (not for the faint-hearted!).

Very expensive for what it is.I had to upgrade from the basic original double bedroom with views because it was so tiny and impossible for me to carry and fit my suitcase through the smallest caracole staircase and you would have to squeeze to get to the bath.My friends also had to upgrade because their room was so dark and their fridge was not working .We won t aloud to eat in the other restaurant nor use the top terrace. No towells available for the swimming pool and smallest toileteries ever and cheap brown toilet paper but eh oh it is eco ...When I left there was no paper in both toilets at the entrance of the hotel ...The hairdryer was very poor quality and attached to the wall and the shower old.Same menu lunchtime and nightime,I am glad I only stayed 2 nights but my friends are there 4 nights...We end up going to eat in Alora because there is nothing around the hotel and got tired of the same menu. The only positive thing is it situated across the train station and the swimming pool is beautiful although the jacuzzi is set up on 2 mn stay...and the drink service around the pool is none existent.Charging breafast 25 Euros is a total rip off ,you better off paying for what you eat because it is not a buffet. The staff tried their best to sort it out offering discount on upgrade because I was on my own, would carry my suitcase and let me put my suitcase in a safe room before check in and check out, but would not go back nor recommend staying there .The hotel has the potential to to be amazing but I feel they clearly cutting out expenses and it shows

Very clean and newly renovated. Interior is very artistic in design and decor. Rooms are very comfortable, with great shower, bath, bed, etc. Fancy backlighting throughout. Incredible window views of the mountains and river. Convenient restaurant within. This is the closest hotel to the bus and train station, and also the highest quality amenities. Worth the price for the thousand incredible details that made our stay picturesque.

This restaurant was recommended to me as our usual local one was shut and honestly I was unbelievably disappointed 😞 The staff were nice, the service was good and the location was very nice but the food was awful. I don't think I have ever had such incredibly bland and tasteless food in Spain. Mine tasted of nothing and my partners tasted of oil and nothing else. As it was the only restaurant visit on our short holiday I was gutted that we chose to eat there. Will not be going back.

5.0 is not good enough. Best food in spain. Great customer service. Great hotel rooms. Wonderful people . And the food is off the chart amazing!|Deserts and entrees are top notch i had the steak but the pork is more amazing. |I had the strawberry cheese cake and it was best ever.

The trip through the mountains was amazing! Our guide Sergio was absolutely brilliant at telling all the interesting history hidden in all of the corners. He was very interactive, showing printed pictures and finding fossils. He was a very good tour guide 👍👏

The only hotel in El Chorro, this is a very stylish place in a converted mill overlooking the valley with great views of the mountains. My room was on the top floor, actually a triplex suite - very unusual, tastefully appointed and cozy, but potentially a major problem for people with limited mobility or a lot of luggage (the inside staircase is extremely narrow and steep). Hotel service is professional and friendly; a minor problem with the key card for the room door was fixed quickly (thanks so much to Tomás the friendly and competent technician). Service in the restaurant, though also very friendly, was *extremely* slow and borderline chaotic. The place is not cheap but on the whole worth it.

This review is not for hotel but for their outdoor activities. I did walk onto the premises and the reception area looked very inviting. I had a hike with La Garganta and they turned a stressful situation into an outstanding experience. My train to El Chorro was canceled and I booked car rental. They helped coordinate with Camino Del Rey Park staff a hike without guide. Beyond thankful to the staff. They made a bad day into one I won't forget.

Yelp
The food tasted horrible, chicken was over cooked, dry and tasteless. Chimichurri sauce ... had no idea what they meant by that. Hummus was ok. They just take advantage of the attraction in the aria, train station near by. Not sure who would go eat there..... definitely, won't recommend it. Service was slow, waitress was forgetful, had to wait for everything.

Yelp
Gorgeous view at this hotel. I didn't actually stay here but had some lunch. They get 5 stars because of the deep fried cheesy cheery tomatoes. It was beyond awesome! If you are hiking the Camino del Ray. You should definitely stop here for a nibble and try the cheery tomatoe tapa!
