La gaufre Eggenols

We bought a chocolate and original gaufre and it was not as good as we expected, especially not at the steep price of 4 Euro per piece. This place came highly recommended to me and my partner, so we had pretty high expectations for our first taste of gaufre de Liège. The gaufres felt undercooked, it was too soft and still a bit wet inside. Pleasant service otherwise and a pretty shop to visit as a tourist.

Ok this waffle is better than the famous une guafrette, the texture was great a bit chewy and the caramelization was just perfect, crisp, a bit bitter and sweet. Would definitely recommend.

They have very good gosettes.
