La Gavitella - Restaurant & Beach

We spent the day at La Gavitella and absolutely loved it. We were picked up from Positano and brought to La Gavitella by boat, which was such a nice way to see the coastline from the water and made the whole experience even more special. The setting is stunning, with sun loungers right by the water and incredible views of the cliffs and coastline. It’s the perfect place to relax, swim, and soak in the scenery. We had lunch at their restaurant, and everything was delicious and beautifully presented. I ordered the fresh fish topped with cherry tomatoes and olives, it was so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The zucchini pasta was also fantastic. We had to try the limoncello spritzes while sitting on our loungers, they were refreshing and perfect for a hot, sunny day. La Gavitella is truly a hidden gem and worth visiting for a day of great food, stunning views, and a peaceful vibe away from the busier parts of the coast. Highly recommend!

My husband and I participated in the cooking class at La Gavitella as part of our honeymoon trip, and we had a great time! The chef had great energy and the pastas and dessert we made were fantastic! They kept our wine glasses full the whole time, so it was especially nice to be able to relax at their beach club after. Our ferry bringing us in from Sorrento was running behind, and the staff were especially accommodating and stayed in communication with me so we could still use their boat shuttle from Positano and participate in the whole class. I highly recommend!!

We seriously had the best day at La Gavitella beach club and also the best food at the restaurant! We loved their Hugo spritz & eggplant Parmesan the most! It was so nice to tan on the loungers and then go into the water with their floaties. The boat transfer over already makes it worth it since it’s like a boat trip and beach club experience in one. Definitely recommend!

I had the pleasure of spending an unforgettable day at La Gavitella Beach Club in Praiano, a true gem on the Amalfi Coast. The location is breathtaking, with direct views over Positano and the entire peninsula, and the atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed – perfect for a romantic escape or a laid-back day by the sea. The beach club itself offers comfortable sun loungers right by the water, allowing you to swim in the emerald sea and soak up the sun in a peaceful, picture-perfect setting. The staff were incredibly warm and professional, making us feel welcome from the start. We enjoyed the 'Honeymoon Menu', which included two refreshing Bellinis, followed by two delicious starters: the cuttlefish tagliatelle with rocket, orange and passion fruit, and a fresh seafood salad with octopus, prawns, and swordfish. For mains, we had the traditional tubetti pasta with local squid and a flavourful sea bass fillet au gratin with potatoes, olives, capers and cherry tomatoes. The meal ended with a dreamy limoncello cake – the perfect sweet touch. I highly recommend La Gavitella Beach Club for those looking to enjoy great food, stunning views and exceptional service in a truly magical setting! 💙

Super nice restaurant with great selection! Had a tuna carpaccio, home made gnocchi with shrimps & squash and a gratinated seabass. all served perfect. A bottle of chilled prosecco was perfect with it all. Try the limoncello tiramisu, it is gorgeous! Location is super charming, inside and outside, with fantastic sea view and in the nice shade of straw mats. Great service! Try it! It is worth all the stairs to get here! Advice: bring bathing shoes and towels and use the public beach access from the boat ramp. There is a shower and toilet for public use. Sunbeds offered by two different companies ar insanely expensive 100-150 euro pp!

brought here by a boat tour in the off season. This place has a great view and the service was also very good and the gentleman who helped us spoke English very well! The ravioli and the gnocchi were great and’s I highly recommend with their espresso for energy during the mid day They also had a separate dingy that transported us from our boat to their which was probably scheduled due to out boat tour

Hands down one of the best dining experiences we’ve had. 🔥 Every dish was a masterpiece, and the presentation? Gorgeous. The terrace view alone is worth the visit, but the hospitality made it unforgettable. Can’t wait to come back! 🙌
