La Gavitella - Restaurant & Beach

My girlfriend and I’s experience at La Gavitella was absolutely exceptional, all factors of the stay from the private pickup, to the food, to the beach club far exceeded our already high expectations and it ended up being the highlight of our entire trip. Our morning began with a private boat shuttle from the pier in Positano with the most wonderful captain Pepe. After we set off for La Gavitella, Pepe stopped at the most picturesque spot in front of Positano and took a beautiful image of us. We felt so welcomed and taken care of immediately with Pepe’s hospitality. Upon arrival at La Gavitella we were seated for lunch in a stunning open air restaurant with views of the beach club and Positano off in the distance, the most romantic setting I could think of for my girlfriend and I to enjoy a meal. We ordered off the honeymoon menu and were impressed with the options provided from fresh seafood, to steak, and of course pasta. The attention to detail to plating, service, and ingredient quality was unmatched. My girlfriend distinctly remembers finishing a plate and by the time she set her fork down, the plate was cleared from the table in a way that did not distract from our conversation. The ravioli we ordered as our entree was the best of our whole trip to Italy and I could not recommend it enough. After enjoying our lunch we walked the short distance down to La Gavitella’s private beach club where we had a bed reserved for us. The views from the daybeds are unmatched, with a sight that looks as if it’s straight out of a Dolce & Gabanna perfume commercial. While my girlfriend relaxed and enjoyed a glass of wine at the daybeds I took a dip in the water and had the best time swimming. After our sunbathing at the beach we were then shuttled back to Positano by boat once again. I simply could not recommend La Gavitella enough to anyone looking for a luxurious romantic retreat, if you are looking for the best beach club and lunch, La Gavitella should be your choice!

My boyfriend and I took this cooking class while visiting Positano, and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip! From the moment we were picked up (so convenient since they offer direct pickup right from Positano), everything was seamless and enjoyable. The staff were beyond amazing. So welcoming, funny, and knowledgeable. They made the entire experience feel both educational and incredibly fun. Also shoutout to Vanessa, who captured all our special moments throughout the class! She shared a Dropbox folder afterwards with all the photos, which was such a thoughtful touch. I can’t recommend this experience enough to anyone visiting the Amalfi Coast. The views, food, and staff were all incredible. 1000/10, we’ll definitely be coming back someday!

I had the most amazing experience at La Gavitella Beach Club! The views are absolutely breathtaking, with a stunning beachfront view of the Positano cliffs. The water was so clear it felt like I was swimming on a private island. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, and the service was top-notch. They even offer a boat service to pick you up and drop you off in Positano, which made the day so easy. The food and cocktails were incredible (the seafood pasta and spritz were my favorites). The whole atmosphere and vibe was so relaxing and chic. I can’t recommend it enough — truly a must-visit when in the Amalfi Coast!

This restaurant has lovely views with some seating outside, but the majority inside. A very popular place and good service. We found the food to be beautifully presented but the chicken salad was very bland and a bit dry and needed a dressing. The balsamic and oil on the table that they suggested to use wasn’t what was needed. The lettuce was also a bit bitter. Although it looked lovely it definitely needed something like a French dressing or equivalent and then it would be perfect. It was nice sitting outside and listening to the music from the beach club below. A nice atmosphere.

A friend & I did cooking class it was amazing from the start ! The boat ride set up by La Gavitella with Peppe was beautiful & he a was great tour guide ! From first entering the resturant you felt welcomed and the view from our class looked fake it was so stunning ! Tomas our chef was incredible , fun and talented ! We all had smiles on our faces all day ! We made pasta’s & Lemon tiramisu we sang & danced it was so much fun ! The prosecco was flowing ! We sat down in a gorgeous dinning room with most stunning view and enjoy our pasta dishes & our tiramisu with our new friends we met in class! This class is a must & the restaurant don’t miss it this place is gem ! Thank you for having us will I never forget you 🇮🇹❤️🥰

Exceeded my expectations in every way. The sunbeds to start the experience down by the water, then going up to the cooking class. Chef Giovanni and the entire team were amazing. The view and the sunset were to die for. The food, the gifts (souvenirs), all the pictures they take for you, the unlimited Prosecco. Everything was perfect I recommend 100%.

I had the most wonderful experience at La Gavitella 🥰 It was the perfect place to relax, sunbath, and swim while enjoying the breathtaking views of Positano. I truly spent a dream day there and can’t wait to return. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was warm and very helpful – the staff answered all of our questions and gave us great recommendations on what to try. A truly unforgettable spot!

If you’re looking to splurge on a beach club experience in the Amalfi Coast, this is the one. It’s not over crowded or over priced. We sprung for the deluxe package and it was worth every penny. So much was included in our experience and I love how private it felt. If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing and luxurious experience this is the beach club for you. We got lunch while we were there as well. It was delicious
