Very French. Tasty. Just like what others have said. Echo the same. Had the sausage with toulouise sauce. The on the house apps are great. Pate is excellent. Good portions. No wait. Staff is friendly. Very busy for dinner. Overall good experience. Escargot buttery

The food is amazing!! Super friendly service - Since we didn't speak French, they explained each menu to us in detail even when they were busy for dinner. Had a wonderful time and will definitely be back when in Paris!!

The food was soooo good we had fish with puréed carrots, magret de canette aux figues and the kids had fish and steak haché. For dessert a huge portiln of cheese and an amazing chocolate melted with hot cream creation. Sorbet for the kids. The chips were perfect too. The service was very friendly but a bir haphazard. They forgot our starter!

I can’t say enough about this place , I went to multiple restaurants and I never felt like I’m in Paris till I came to this cozy little place , all the dishes are made with perfection and served with the best waitresses ever, they recommend the best dishes for you and we loved them all, we kept coming back to this place, get their clams dish that’s a must, and special thanks to the sweetest girl ever Marie <3

Small little bistro near Louxembourg Gardens. Very authentic, both in style and food. Staff is ultra friendly, took their time to explain the menu and specials, even during a busy lunch service. I had the Pate Salad and Beef in pepper sauce (amazing). The food was among the best I ate in Paris outside of high end restaurants, and the prices are very good (19 euro for entree+main). If ever back in Paris I will return to La Gentiane.

If I could put six stars for the service, I'd do it without hesitation. They are soooo cool! And the meals are very nice, especially fish. Food serving is just incredible. Now this is one of my favourite restaurants in Paris. Highly recommend to visit (but table reservation is also recommended, the place is very popular).
