Having lived in many international capitals, I've had my fair share of cocktail exposure and, more often than not, have been disappointed.
Last week, by pure chance, I came across “La Gintoneria Donostiarra” and was blown away.
From the outside, this unremarkable and somewhat lugubrious bar doesn't stand out. You'll need to walk in and observe the head waiter hard at work to realise this is a serious cocktail bar with highly professional staff.
Cocktails were unparalleled, not skimping on the alcohol and meticulous presentations. No drink is off limits. These people know their trade and are eager to please.
Taking into account the myriad of ingredients and expertise that goes into each cocktail, I thought at 10 Euros a piece it was more than fairly priced.
