Partially Obstructed Views, Busy Climb The Giralda (Bell)Tower is located within Seville Cathedral and offers an interesting ascent with panoramic but obstructed views over the city. Instead of stairs, the tower is climbed via 35 ramps, making the experience unique, though the access is quite tight and may not be suitable for those who are claustrophobic. Comfortable, appropriate shoes are essential, and whilst there are resting and photo opportunities on certain levels, views are partially obstructed by protective screens and wiring. The tower gets very busy, with long queues during peak hours. Tickets are usually combined with Seville Cathedral entry, and purchasing in advance is highly recommended.

We did the 20.30 roof tour and it's absolutely fantastic. Did not except that we were able to see this much of one of the greatest and most beautiful monuments of Spain. Very kind and knowledged guide, good working head sets. Very fair price if you see what you get. Would recommend to everyone who can climb a few narrow stairs (you go up all the way).

Great view, not only from the top, but from all side windows along the way. There is a ramp, no stairs (beside the last few meters) - no strollers allowed, but my 4 year daughter climbed it without stopping. I can recommend it for families.

Google
Legendary building in Sevilla This is a beautiful tower in Andalusia. Part of the BIG 3 you have to do, with the Mezquita, the Giralda and obviously l'Alhambra. The Giralda is a beautiful tower sitting right in the town centre or the old town. It is a fabulous building and looks really grand. It can obviously be visited but you really need to book for this like most impressive sites in Spain. Highly recommended we really enjoyed it!

We visited on a weekday afternoon and had to line up several times — first to get in, then again for audio guides, and finally to enter La Giralda. The tower is well laid out, with around 35 ramps and rest stops along the way for those who need them. Most people should be able to make the climb without too much trouble. However, it was extremely crowded. The path is narrow, so you go up and down in a single file, often shoulder to shoulder with others. Once at the top, you line up again just to get a view out of each window, and there are fences that make it hard to get a clear look. There didn’t seem to be any real crowd control at the top, which really took away from the experience. If you’re claustrophobic, I’d skip this part. There are plenty of other great spots in Seville to see panoramic views of the city. The cathedral itself was much more enjoyable — there were clear signs and pamphlets explaining the art and architecture. That said, unless you get the audio guide, there’s not much context provided about the tower itself.

Google
La Giralda is a former Muslim minaret transformed into a church bell tower, symbolizing the fascinating transition from one culture to another. The construction itself is magnificent, a true masterpiece of architecture. Be prepared for a bit of a workout—the climb to the top can be challenging, but it’s absolutely worth it. The panoramic views of Seville from above are breathtaking. I highly recommend this unforgettable experience.

Google
Giralda is the tower of the Sevilla Cathedral. It has no steps, just a continuous ramp up to the top, which makes it very easy to climb. The space is wide for a bell tower. The views from the top are amazing. I bought the tickets online, so there was no waiting for us.

Google
The area encompassing the open area next to the Seville Cathedral and surroundings. The history is amazing. There is a large sistern below the outdoor open area enclosed by the walls of the Giralda. This was essential for providing clean cool water to the town in antiquity. The Guadalquivir River was likely not the best place to get drinking water due to the number of upstream towns and villages likely dumping sewer into the river.

Yelp
La Giralda is the most iconic landmark in the historic center of Seville. It is part of the cathedral and it was started during the Moorish times. The Giralda is the bell tower of Seville Cathedral. It was built as the minaret for the Great Mosque of Seville in al-Andalus, during the reign of the Almohad dynasty, with a Renaissance-style belfry added by the Catholics after the expulsion of the Muslims from the area. The Cathedral, including the Giralda, was registered in 1987 as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, along with the Alcázar and the General Archive of the Indies. It remains one of the most important symbols of the city, as it has been since the Middle Ages. The tower is one of the most famous monuments of Moorish architecture in Spain and one of the most refined examples of Almohad architecture. There's a weather vane all the way on the top that moves only with very heavy winds....LOL.... Beautiful at night...all lit up....

Yelp
This bell tower is a city landmark, part of the Seville Cathedral, and some of the old mosque remains is part of this bell tower. Highly recommend climbing to the top to get the most amazing 360 view of Seville. They don't have stairs - instead it's a paved incline that have 35 ramps and then a few stairs at the top ... each floor is marked so you can see your progress. It's not an easy climb - the windows along the way is a great place to catch your breath :) I read that the ramps were built to allow the Sultan to ascend mounted on horseback to see the beautiful view. Your entrance fee to the Seville Cathedral includes the bell tower. Oh, and be warned when the bell towers ring, they are super loud - like I thought I might have gone deaf, lol. I visited during the winter so it was cool inside but during the summer, I heard it gets hot & stuffy ... one of the reviews recommended visiting first thing in the morning.

Yelp
34 flights of a continuous ramp plus another flight of stairs to the top of this minaret-turned-bell-tower. Honestly the views are very obstructed by fencing which makes the long hike maybe not worth it. The history of this Ottoman time Muslim-Christian tower is very cool though!

Yelp
This was spectacular. Be aware that it's about 35 flights up but very easy grade of steps. It was pretty packed when I went up. The views are pretty amazing from the tower. Oh and when I was up there the bells did in fact ring!

Yelp
This is part of the Cathedral. It is 320 feet high & the only way up is by a steep circular ramp. I will admit that my husband made it up, but I only made it halfway. I saw many people, both young & older coming down winded & complaining. If you feel up to it, I heard the view from the top is amazing. Suggestion - do it first thing in the AM - it gets very hot & stuffy inside. Challenging on the legs!!

Yelp
If you come to Seville, you have to go up in La Giralda, which is the tower attached to the cathedral! You get entrance to this tower when you buy a ticket to the cathedral and the views from the top are amazing. Thank goodness there are no stairs because you'd be walking up a lot of stairs, but instead there are winding ramps going all the way up. At the top, you get a 360 view of the city and you're up with the bells when they ring (so be aware of that).

Yelp
The view is totally worth the entrance fee. Make sure to bring your student ID (even if you're no longer a student) for a massive discount on the audio tour, which I highly recommend. It's nice to know what you're looking at, although I have to admit it was quite difficult following the audio guide. I was never sure in which direction I was supposed to walk.

Yelp
Quite cool to walk up the tower all the way, no steps, just set of ramps all the way up. Over 100 metres high. More than 800 years old. Moorish by origin but with a renaissance style top. Not a terrible walk up or down and wouldn't even take that long if it wasn't for all the people. There are little windows along the way where you can stop and look out over the city roofs and of course the top of the tower where you can see it all. Although you have to fight other tourists for a spot to see the skyline in each angle. Ticket price combined with cathedral for 9 EUR.

Yelp
Words really can't do it justice --- it's truly magnificent and worth the visit. We also enjoyed the Giralda (tower) which is an additional fee to the Cathedral but the views are stunning and it's really cool to see the workings for the bells! The climb is not for anyone with health issues, there is an elevator which goes almost to the top if you require.
