Great food in quality and taste at agreat value. Such a surprise on a little Marseille side street! Huge quantities with great flavor and quality service. Do not omit to try the bourek filled with minced beef and egg, lamb 🐑 soup and kous kous with kefta. Would absolutely come back.

I don’t suggest this place to vegetarians. I ordered a vegetarian Tagine and it was obvious they just took out big chunks of meat out of their usual Tagine, and serve it as vegetarian. I saw small peaces of meat in mine.

A nice no-frills Tunisian eatery. Seemed a very inclusive place, frequented by people of various social and ethnic backgrounds, everybody welcomed with a smile. Shows well the spirit of Marseille! It was very busy for lunch but we easily found a place. Most dishes are in the 10-15 euros range. We had two different tajines, both were delicious, with quite generous servings. Washed down with sweet mint tea.

Good food for fair price, expected a bit more taste of spices but food quality is good. Salad Tunisienne and bricks viande oeuf is a tasty starter!

Google
one of my fave cous cous places in Marseille which is now back open after some building work forced them to close for an extended period, and it is as good as ever! Cous cous is great and well priced, good starters, nice pastries and great service

Yelp
Food is different than Turkish, Moroccan and Lebanese/Middle Eastern so nice to note the subtleties. Desserts are the same and way too sweet; can't taste the ingredients. Service is rushed and they cram people together even if the restaurant is more than half empty (can't choose where to sit).

Yelp
Good food, reasonable prices but average service We ordered a lamb couscous and chicken tagine - which were both very tasty and very reasonably priced. The service was a bit offhand though, with the waiters barely making eye contact with us and the hygiene was questionable - the kitchen staff were smoking in the kitchen.

Yelp
Some of the best CousCous in Marseille in my opinion in this small Tunisian Restaurant...Large portions and very reasonably priced...Great Tunisian Pastry Shop (the rose of Tunis) next door...

Yelp
Great Algerian restaurant. Generous portions and the excellent flavor. Don't forget to stop by the bakery next door for dessert.

Yelp
Fast service, sensible prices and filling Algerian cooking. No alcohol but that is normal for this type of restaurant and you won't need it! Try the Couscous Maison - 1 kebab skewer, 1 spiced sausage, 1 meatball, 1 chop on top of a vegetable couscous bowl with a bowl of sauce and vegetables to accompany - 9.00 euros (in 2008) The food is always good and importantly filling for a tourist in the midst of a costly city. Take your time and enjoy this north African part of Marseille as you sip mint tea or tea over pine nuts with an Algerian desert or two. Its round the corner from Printemps supermarket and about 3 minutes walk from the Algerian market area.
