What It's Like to Travel Through Spain on a Luxury Sleeper Train

"A leafy-courtyard restaurant where an evening meal featured refined, regionally influenced courses such as a delicate crab bisque and a caramelized cheesecake, providing a relaxed yet polished outdoor-dining ambiance." - Jessica Vincent

Considerable portions. Food served with sauces that create the flavors. They must be used or stuff is blah. Great service. Parking is a problem but I felt safe with many police in area, hopefully sure to being across the street and behind from National Congress. We were there on Saturday night for dinner about 830p. Not very busy but full. Probably mobbed on work day since next to N.C.

A colourful gastronomic experience! A tavern placed next to the back of the congress building. If you are a fan of Spanish food this is the restaurant to be at! The dishes are extremely abundant so ask the waiter about it before ordering. The prices are ok and the place is crowded but there is always an available table. The menu is rather vast and definitely this is a place that I strongly recommend if you are really hungry!

Bread is warm & delicious. Seafood casserole is not too tasty but plenty of seafood. Good service & nice, well decorated restaurant.

Well, it was more or less okay. Overcrowded, but it was Sunday, so it’s understandable. Paella was not the best I’ve ever tried, but the best I’ve tried in Buenos Aires. Overall, good experience, I’d say.

The staff is great. Super friendly and nice. The food is just amazing. We ordered Paella and the Tortilla Española. Both are great.

Yelp
Ultima noche en Buenos Aires, we decided to try their popular Castellano (Spanish) restaurant that's got all the bells and whistles that remind me of Spain. Pieces of Serrano jamon and queso hanging everywhere, pictures of king Juan Carlos, matadores, etc. The ambiance is bustling with tons of tables of patrons trying out the traditional dishes. If you're coming here on weekends be prepared to wait during peak dinner times. However on the weekdays it can be just as busy. For food we tried a few popular/ shareable dishes since my buddy and I were quite full from lunch. Their popular Plate of calamari and anchovies, a mountain seafood as I described it. The dish was freshly prepared with huge portions for all to try, served on a simple aluminum plate which I rated 4/5 Second dish was more of an big pizza omelette that had cheese, onions, veggies and chorizo. The truly decadent and thick slices were packed with plenty of flavor with no shortage of cheese. Overall great dish at a 4/5. For dessert (de postre) with our sweet tooth we opted to try their Helado dulce, great way to end a meal and overall dining experience.

Yelp
Had a family dinner and my wife ordered Asado and sauce on the side. My wife went quickly through half the sauce because the meat was overly dry and in it she found a roach. We notified the waitress and we recieved no apology, no discount, and a cold attitude. The meat was overly cooked and the spaghetti with seafood that I ordered was bland. The prices do not warrant the quality of food.

Yelp
La Gran Taberna is a spanish traditional restaurant, but it pretty much sells every kind of meal. Everything tastes delicious; doesn't matter what you have or if it's not even sea food (which is their specialty), you'll eat like a king. Waiters are very kind, funny, and efficient. It is a bit expensive, yes, but it's worth every cent. Every plate is for at least 2 persons, or an extremely hungry one. Location and looks of the place are old school, but it suits it. After all, it is an old restaurant, with a tasty tradition of "full stomach, happy heart". But don't bother making space for desserts though: they're okay, but I'd choose another course a million times.
