What an amazing fine gourmet food, a heaven for food lovers , doesn’t matter you like to eat or like to cook , this is a place where you could easily spend hours here sourcing different ingredients, sauces , drinks and cookwares/ kitchenwares all within one roof . Great variety , well displayed , reasonable prices and freshness can’t lie One of my favourite go-to places in Paris !

Rachel Ellison

Google
The most beautiful grocery store I've ever been to! You must go here. They have everything you could ever imagine. The staff was so kind and generous. I bought the most delicious French delicacies to take back to the states- butter, cheese, chocolates, wine.

Orlando Perez

Google
So amazed at all that the La Grande Épicerie de Paris has to offer. I primarily was on a mission to bring back home French Butter. I found them and much more. The 2 buildings are connected by a covered bridge. After purchasing butter, there is a vacuum sealer station. What a wonderful place to visit. And I even found the Opinel set I was looking for for many years. How delightful a find.

I went grocery shopping for the first time in a while, and as always, the variety was amazing. I found myself putting all sorts of things in the cart, thinking about all the meals I’d love to cook—but of course, the total went well over budget. These aren’t even new ingredients, but I really love this place with its endless selection. Sometimes the prices are ridiculous, which is frustrating, but still. Yesterday at a restaurant, I had foie gras, and now I’m convinced I can make it even better myself—with canned foie gras, truffle salt, and squid ink cuttlefish. Just thinking about it is making me excited. At the butter section, people from all over the world were gathering and filling their baskets. I wanted to tell them, “Forget Bordier—La Consiette is actually tastier!” Also, I recommend the olive oil labelled “AOP” and the sweets President Macron supposedly grew up eating. I wish I could share all the photos I took, but unfortunately, I can’t. When I go back in a few days for round two, I plan to ask the staff about vintage and organic wines. One piece of advice: only put what you truly need in your basket. Don’t shop like it’s your last chance or like you’ll never come back. Be calm and sensible—otherwise, like me, you’ll blow your budget!

Google
This grocery store was truly impressive—absolutely massive and packed with an incredible variety of foods and ingredients from all over the world. From fresh produce and exotic spices to specialty items you rarely see anywhere else, it felt like a food lover’s paradise. You could easily spend hours exploring all the aisles and still discover something new. Whether you’re shopping for everyday essentials or hunting for unique international ingredients, this place has it all. A must-visit for anyone who loves cooking or just enjoys a great food adventure!

Google
A gourmet grocery as well as gift store for visitors to bring back home a memory of Paris. There are a variety of edible gifts from stored-dry to refrigerated ones. The store can vacuum-sealed items that are required to keep refrigerated. Pretty much anything could be shipped back home with careful packing.

Google
this place feels like a fancy supermarket. sleek, well-stocked, and full of things you didn’t know you needed until you saw them. the cheese section? straight out of a movie. rows and rows of perfectly displayed wheels, wedges, and mystery soft cheeses with names you can’t pronounce but must try. you can still find some good deals, especially in the bakery section. that said, for the premium vibe (and prices), the quality didn’t quite hit five-star levels. the baguette was good, but not the best i’ve had. same goes for the pain au chocolat. solid, but not unforgettable.

Google
A gourmet wonderland in the heart of Paris I stopped by to pick up some teas for a friend who’s obsessed with them—and couldn’t resist treating myself to something sweet from La Table inside. The selection is truly exceptional. La Grande Épicerie is a beautifully curated store full of gourmet delights and specialty items that make you want to take everything home. The quality is top-notch, and it’s hard not to compare it to similar products in the U.S., which often cost more for far less quality. Whether you’re shopping for gifts, pantry staples, or just indulging in a little food lover’s day out, this place is absolutely worth a visit.

Yelp
Wow!!! If only we had an establishment like this in where I live. 2 buildings connected by sky bridges and multiple floors of goods and services that will satisfy your every whim and desire. I went there for the "beurre" (pronounced "brrrrr") or the infamous French Butter. Located near the Fromage (or cheese) Department in refrigerated cases, there is a vast array of beurre to choose from. Do some research on Google to be acquainted with the beurre nomenclature and you'll be prepared to select what you are looking for. While paying for your beurre bricks, for ask for vacuum sealer bags for an additional price to vacuum seal the beurre. There are also thermal bags available as well. However, there are so much to see and shop for. We spent a good 1/2 a day (we did have lunch) but enjoyed every minute.

Yelp
This is one of the best places in Paris to get food souvenirs It's a gourmet luxury market. It has a huge selection of wine in the basement. It had salt, butter, cookies, pastries, chocolates and lots of other food items. Butter and cheese could be vacuum sealed for an extra euro. Several counters had food such a sushi, charcuterie pasta to order as well as a pastry counter There were also lots of things of prepackaged food for take away. It was easy to order food. The cashiers were efficient and helpful. It was a fun place to shop and get some good food and cool souvenirs.

Yelp
A very bougie market which has everything! We stopped in right before going to the airport to have breakfast at one of the restaurants there (La Petit Cafe) and enjoyed crepes, croissants, and lattes. But our main goal was to get different types of delicious French butter and cheese to take home. They vacuum seal it for an extra euro so that it will keep. The guy at the cheese counter waived the extra charge though, which was indicative of our entire trip as we found everyone friendly, helpful and polite. You could easily spend hours here but we had to keep it pretty brief. I would definitely return and highly recommend.

Yelp
There are 3 levels of goodness in there. It's a great place to get cheese, butter, fruits, wine, and fresh meat!, I went there to buy cheese and butter that you can have them vacuum seal so you can put it in your check-in luggage and left with so much more.
google avatar

Yelp
I love this Grocery Store/Cafe/Shops! We mainly came for the Maison Bordier butter which they can vacuum seal for 1 euro to bring back to US, but this is not your typical grocery store. La Grande Epicerie de Paris is like Erewhon in Los Angeles! Not only it is a high-end supermarket - there is a huge wine section, La Boulangerie (bakery), housewares and Restaurants on the top level. This is also a great place to pick up souvenirs, like chocolates, cookies, teas and of course butter! We also had lunch at Le Table on the top level with a beautiful skylight. You can read by review on the dining experience. There are two locations. I went to the larger store on Rue De Sevres, 7th arrondissement of Paris.
google avatar

Yelp
Came by the other day to grab some souvenirs. La Grande Epicerie is a huge grocery store along with a wine basement. The upper levels are a high end department store including a few sit down cafes to rest and dine. The main street level has a ton of local and high end souvenirs such as chocolates, biscuits, and cookies. They also have a ton of fresh fruits, vegetables, fresh meat along with cured meats. Checkout is quick with either self-checkout or staffed check out.

Yelp
Definitely a stop if you are in St Germain! I didn't get pastries this time though. Just butter to take home for myself and family!
google avatar

Heather G.

Yelp
Imagine euro-Whole Foods and that would be La Grande Épicerie! They have a vast selection of international foods or local favorites to choose from, as well as a robust wine/spirits selection. Recommend going hungry to enjoy any of the pre-prepared food sections, everything looked incredible! Such a cool stop to purchase high end French international foods. For like €1, they will vacuum seal products for you (like butter or cheese) to help pack for traveling. Unfortunately no VAT refund on items that are not wine/liquor/spirits. A great spot to visit to buy little treats for gifts!
google avatar

Elle M.

Yelp
I believe Le Grande Epicerie experience is the secret to world peace, and why wouldn't it be with the best chocolate, pastries, European butter and a wine cave all under one roof? Also a great place for souvenirs like hazelnut or pistachio cream, chocolates with cute French motifs.or containers, 8€ mustard or 12€ salt, because you can't put a price on happiness.
google avatar

AJ A.

Yelp
We were looking for a grocery store to buy some of the special butter and also get some desserts. The place had everything and more. It has a big selection of breads, pastas, seafood, pastry, chocolates and areas to set and eat.
google avatar

Caroline B.

Yelp
The erewhon of Paris in the best way possible . It was such a cool experience to shop here and everything was high quality even down to the strawberries we got. They let you vacuum seal butter and take it home as well which is a unique gift idea

Yelp
The Grande Épicerie is a food lovers dream. The best of every food category is here. Similar to food halls in department stores in Japan, Harrod's or Fortnum & Masons (in London), the GE has an astounding collection of chocolates, biscuits, teas and coffees ready to purchase as gifts but it also has food to take back to your hotel room or apartment. The cheese section big. The ready made foods are the star (imo). Want a prepared sandwich for lunch? There are at least 6 combination sandwiches which are cut to the length you want and priced by weight. And being French they offer a formule (deal of sandwich, beverage and dessert!). I enjoyed eating dim sum or noodle soup while seated at a tall table in the store. I've had the dim sum as takeaway too. There are sections for foreign food (the American food shelves carry peanut butter and BBQ sauces!). On some days, they have founders of indie products offering samples. On my recent trip (pre-Christmas), I enjoyed a taste of raclette (cheese) on some toast and sugar free chocolate. The in-store restaurants also include a truffle bar, Spanish ham (Jamon) bar, and a very pretty seafood bar. I enjoyed eating breakfast at the café towards the front of the hall. It's great for people watching while having a tea or coffee and a crepe (which they make there). Their newest alcove is a vegan café with lovely salads and desserts. Tourists in the know come here to buy the Bordier butter (Normandy full cream beurre) which come in a variety of flavors. I've eaten the truffle, Demi salt, and the yuzu flavors - so good! Tip: the front cashier in a particular aisle can arrange to vacuum seal your butters for travel for a small fee. The Grande Épicerie is a must visit place - a destination of it's own. Well worth spending time shopping and eating here!

Yelp
Im going to make it simple, if sur la table, and central market had combine this exactly what this place is, amazing array of high end quality ingredients, and kitchenware, the staff is really knowledgeable
google avatar

Sammie S.

Yelp
Popped in for snacks. Picked up a picnic. Fine chocolates and sea salts are great souvenirs.

Yelp
Ambiance: so fancy! They have security upon entering the store and throughout. You'll find high end food products here and the perfect place to get gifts for yourself or others. From coffee, teas, chocolate, cookies, etc. Downstairs is their extensive collection of wines and spirits. Service: While the products are excellent, the service was not like the U.S. I was looking for a champagne and I didn't see any half bottles. I saw one of the wine staff was busy talking to someone just standing there and it looked like a personal chat. I waited a few minutes but finally interrupted them and I asked the guy. He rudely said I should check over there *and pointed to the area I had just checked. Maybe I missed it so I went to check. Not there. I waited about 10 minutes and he was STILL chatting with this person. At this point I'm like nah this dude isn't doing his job. He's just standing there talking to who seemed like a friend. The person didn't have anything in hand and no cart so he wasn't shopping. I interrupted again and I was like "can you show me where it is?" And he let out a loud disgruntled sigh and with an attitude said, "I'm with a customer" and walked me over to the area. He thought I was dumb or something bc it was clear he was having a personal conversation and that wasn't a regular customer. He was like "nope we don't have it. Must've ran out" and he went back to his personal conversation. Not pleased with this, I asked another staff who had now appeared and the talker left. This guy was much nicer and checked for me and he suggested I go upstairs to check the cold fridge for the size I was looking for. And that I may be in luck. I found a couple half bottles of champagne I was looking for. The first guy could've suggested this but decided to be a jerk and withheld this information. My husband and I went upstairs to pay and I was telling my mom about the rude guy downstairs. My mom was like I think I had the same guy. I had seen my mom was down there earlier. We described him to each ofher and yup, we both interacted with that same guy. We decided to go downstairs and find him to complain to his manager but lucky for him, the worker was no where to be found and didn't know his name. His colleagues refused to also provide his name. His lucky day. I bought lots of chocolate, wine, biscuits (cookies) and tea as gifts for ourselves and family & friends.

Yelp
Tres grande indeed! Le Erewhon de Paris. Quand je serai riche, j'achèterai leurs fraises tous les jours!
google avatar

Linda E.

Yelp
I absolutely loved this place. It had so many gourmet items that I wanted to try but unfortunately I didn't have a kitchen so there was no point to buy some of the items. I did stock up on different butters to bring back. They did last in my checked luggage! I also picked up Madeline's, chocolates & treats to bring back as presents!
google avatar

John C.

Yelp
Everything for your fairy-tail picnic at on the Siene. While we usually go to an open market and some smaller stores for charcuterie and fromage, we made last minute plans on a Monday and most of our go-tos were closed. Then I remembered Grand Epicerie at Bon Marche. Beautiful produce, including spectacular cherries and strawberries, boulangerie, patisserie, charcuterie, great wine selection, 100 kinds of mustard, salt -- you get the picture. Everyone is friendly and speaks English if you need. Think Harrod's of Paris. Spectacular!
google avatar

Tammy W.

Yelp
This was right up the street from our hotel and we went here many times for great varieties of prepared foods and also went right before leaving to get cheeses, macaroons and caramels for bringing back home...this place has a sitting area to have coffee, desserts and anything you can think of for cooking or eating and gas upstairs with home goods and more
google avatar

Shari S.

Yelp
The French equivalent of the Harrods Food Hall but better! Excellent baked goods and takeaway food which is helpful for tourists. It also has several small restaurants featuring different types of cuisine but be advised that those close at 6 pm but the store itself is open later. The food area is on the ground floor. The floors above contain home goods (linens, kitchen equipment, etc). Highly recommend l!
google avatar

Helen K.

Yelp
The best grocery store in Paris. We stop by every time we are in Paris but this time we actually made it to downstairs to the alcohol section and got awesome $30 wine to go with our charcuterie that we created from the things that we bought here. The truffle cheese was one of the favorite item that we picked up from here as well! i joke, but during an apocalypse, I would want to take shelter here!
google avatar

Elle Z.

Yelp
Can I give this place 20 stars?? Are you a food shopper nut, like me??? I cannot tell you enough how much I loved this place. The main floor was a giant playground with different areas to shop. I loved it more than you know. Cheese area. Dairy area with high-end butter that they sealed up for me for travel. Meat dept. Bakery. International areas. And specialty areas galore. I love this place and wish I had found it earlier in my 2 weeks in Paris. The guy in the cheese area was super nice and was the area where they sealed the butter. I bought 10 and you can put up to 5 items per air-sealed bag. One of my favorite places
google avatar

Mary-Jane B.

Yelp
Love the selection and the people were so helpful and friendly. Can't wait to go back and stay longer - it was everything I expected. One entire aisle for Olive Oil. One entire aisle for salt. You get it. If you're looking for something, and they don't have it - it doesn't exist. Great experience.

Irina M.

Yelp
Its an amazing experience walking through here for the food, and also visiting the other levels. I highly recommend going there and spending a couple of hours checking it out.
google avatar

Tamara L.

Yelp
This place is amazing. It's a grocery store but think the most epic, amazing grocery store ever. They have a great selection of premade sandwiches and salades to go. The chocolate section is huge. If you're flying back to the US and want to bring back butter (which you SHOULD) they'll package it for travel for you. Walking thru the produce aisle you can actually smell the fresh berries and fruit.
google avatar

Eric B.

Yelp
Unbelievable gourmet luxe at this top Not stopping there is like not seeing the Eiffel Tower when visiting paris
google avatar

Stephen H.

Yelp
If you're in a bit of a time crunch but you want access to lots of different flavors and specialities of France to bring home to friends, this is your one-stop shop, with price ranges for every budget.
google avatar

Jim A.

Yelp
Decisions, decisions, how do you choose with so much incredible looking food. Problem is you keep circling around cause you can't make your mind up. Of course given the address some things pare on the pricey side but the quality is excellent. I took off a star because they have no seating for those who purchase take away meals.

Lucy H.

Yelp
Amazing. Hands down the best food emporium on the planet. The deli has the absolute best jambon beurre sandwiches- ask for it warmed up and get it with truffle butter. The desserts are works of art. I had the St. Honore and it was the best ending to the perfect lunch.
google avatar

Connie M.

Yelp
A proper food emporium opened by none other than LVMH! It's basically the food market of my dreams; I've been to many fancy markets, but nothing compares to La Grande. The literally have anything and everything. I'd say the price point is higher than normal, but it's worth it. The fruits were super fresh and the bakery section was both delectable and delicious. I stayed at a hotel literally down the block, so I was here basically all the time haha. If you're looking for gifts to bring back home then this would be a fabulous place to visit!

Yelp
So I was in Paris on vacation with 2 families (4 adults, 4 teenagers). It is Christmas eve, and we decided to stay in our Airbnb for Christmas day instead of going out. But we wanted to splurge on some good food, so I googled "best grocery store in paris". This is what popped up. The experience is something I will not forget. Apparently this place is owned by Luis Vutton, and it shows. It feels like a very high-end luxury clothing store. We were there on Christmas eve towards the end of the day, and it was pandemonium. There were huge crowds of people looking to do exactly what we were -- namely splurge on some good food for the holiday. However it was well-staffed, and despite being crowded, we were able to browse and get what we needed. The fresh and prepared food areas (what we might call the "deli" in the USA) were amazing. The seafood section was huge. I really enjoyed some lobster baked pastries, and also ordered a cooked chicken (our airbnb did not have an oven, so we needed to get only prepared foods that we could heat). We also stocked up on some nice champagne, some fresh produce/fruit, pain, and many other goodies. This is definitely an expensive store. But to splurge for a special event or when you are traveling on vacation, this was a lot of fun. Check it out -- it is quite an experience!
google avatar

Ron P.

Yelp
What a wonderful high quality place this is. If you're from the USA and think Whole Foods is high end, this place is a couple levels above.. as a foodie seeing what was available really made me want to cook!!
google avatar

Jim A.

Yelp
La Grande Epicerie was in past years the most luxurious grocery in Paris. Times have changed however. Some shelves are not fully stocked, the range of Bon Marche branded items has shrunk, the butcher shop rarely has veal these days, etc. Of course I still shop regularly at la Grande Epicerie but some of the sparkle has faded. Note to management: I saw a mouse running through the store this morning. You have to address this or else you will have customers running also, in the wrong direction.
google avatar

Irene E.

Yelp
There is a guard by the entrance to check your bags. Pricy but it has so much to offer - a food emporium - and the few items we tried were all very yummy. Many counters and tables give the shoppers an option to dine right there. Come for a drink or meal after a visit to MEP & Le Bon Marché. Bon Appetite.
google avatar

Alex C.

Yelp
This is my absolute favorite store in Paris to go to. When I don't know or can't think of what to eat I immediately think of Le Bon Marche and it's sister store dedicated to everything and anything food. I always feel like kid in a candy store when I stop by. When my stomach is happy then I'm happy and this store makes me happy.
google avatar

Sam M.

Yelp
Wow!!! What a great grocery and much more store!!! The store has a central grocery section and specialty shops around it, such as bakery et fromagerie. You have to visit this place if you're near Le Bon Marche.
google avatar

Theresa N.

Yelp
Epic! Do not miss if you are in Paris. Mind blowing actually. Go early because it gets crazy, go at opening. I dropped in around 330pm and it was a mad house. I didn't buy anything but next time I come I will go at opening for sure.
google avatar

Jana C.

Yelp
I wandered up and down, up and down those aisles, agog that one single, multilevel store carries so many fine labels and variety of comestibles! Here lies the dream of every gourmand. Voilà! The layout was bit clunky for me, but every nook and cranny I did explore. The cave of magnums and such in the basement held sway over me,& I temporarily daydreamed I had piles of disposable income, so I could leisurely buy cases of wine and ship them to my house ( which already has a good few dozen bottles, nesting). The cheese, the specialty butter, the foie, the chocolate, the tea, the sweets, the water, the wine. I'll go check out Blvd Hausmann's Galeries Lafayette in March. Must be the greatest competitor to this behemoth.
google avatar

Lunden C.

Yelp
A Paris must see! Rather you're looking for food for a picnic or souvenirs to bring home this is the place to stop! They have sections for all different types of food from all over the globe! They also have an extensive selection of prepared food! This is definitely on my must see list for anyone visiting Paris!
google avatar

Natalia M.

Yelp
This is the best grocery store I've ever been to. I mean it's so much more than that. Yes, you can buy just about anything there from all over the world, but the food stalls...oh man. So good! We had oysters and rose, a ham and truffle sandwich, a pata negra sándwich, champagne, macarons ....and it wasn't enough. This is a must if you're in Paris.
google avatar

Hazel C.

Yelp
One of the highlights of our trip to France! It is, as many have said, a gourmand's paradise. If you love to eat, to cook, and to drink, then this is a must see if you're in Paris. It is perhaps comparable to Harrods in London, but definitely better than Eataly in New York. This shop has a patisserie, boulangerie, chocolaterie, fromagerie, boucherie, poissonnerie, charcuterie, and a wide selection of wine in their cellar downstairs. In the middle of the ground floor, you will find fresh fruits and vegetables and surrounding these, gourmet grocery items such as truffles, fancy sugars, salts and spices, shelves and shelves of chocolates, beer, waters, tea, coffee and other grocery items from all over the world. It's a sight to see. We were looking at the waters and we saw bottles that were selling for 1€ and some change, but we also saw one that was selling for 65€. This range of prices is interestingly enough representative of the various departments in this store. There is something here for even someone who's on a budget, so go in and wander around. We came after the lunch rush so it wasn't crowded in the store. People were shopping for provisions for their evening meal, and tourists like us were browsing for gifts to bring back home. I bought a box of macarons (best macarons I had in France) and a few pintxos from their charcuterie bar. These were great as an afternoon snack. This place would really make a good place to get picnic food. Grab a baguette, choose a wedge of cheese or two, get slices of pâté and charcuterie and you have a perfect meal to eat by the Seine. Oh and don't forget a bottle of wine. It's okay to drink alcohol in public, so that will complete your picnic. When in Paris, do as the Parisians do!
google avatar

Ruth K.

Yelp
I had to prepare a picnic for four friends in one morning. I walked into this massive absolutely beautiful gourmet food store and was instantly overwhelmed. The manager took me around the whole store shopping for the makings of a picnic. He was so nice and big plus he was a Bills fan!
google avatar

Terri A.

Yelp
This place was.....AWESOME! Anyone that loves food can wander through the aisles and each specialty section in awe of the things you just don't get to see in the US. Don't go hungry-- too overwhelming to choose from all the amazing choices.
google avatar

Athena L.

Yelp
Foodie heaven! There's literally everything! Even kitchen appliances on the top floors. But my main reason to come was to pick up Beurre de bordier cause I don't bring family and friends Paris t shirts, no sireee! This girl brings back all the French butter cause life is dreary without it.
google avatar

Jason K.

Yelp
My wife and I were on vacation in Paris and we asked the guy at the desk where to get some stinky blue cheese. (One of my favorite things ever, and I was in the kingdom of stinky cheese) They had a great cheese selection, and I should have got some foie gras, but just chose cheese and cured meat. The service was fantastic and we loved having this place just a few blocks away from our hotel. Highly recommended!
google avatar

Samantha L.

Yelp
What don't they have here? I entered and basically though, "just take all my money". I spent a long time walking each aisle. I admired all the different products they have - big assortment. There's a big area for to go and dining: charcuterie, fromage, pre-made sandwiches. It would be very easy to shop for necessary groceries and/or specialty items. I left with great gifts for friends/family and some must haves for my own home. Salts, candy, chocolates and bags to start.
google avatar

Sue S.

Yelp
Oh my goodness. This is the mack daddy of all gourmet grocery stores. If you are a foodie, it's basically just about heaven covered in hazelnut spread and slathered in whipped cream. There is everything here. There's insane seafood counters with rows of shellfish and piles of shrimp. There are gourmet meat counters with thinly sliced prosciutto and other delectable meats. There's a bakery counter where you can walk up and order fresh baguettes, rolls and pain au chocolat. There's a fromagerie with literally every kind of cheese you can possibly think of. There are a million yogurt varieties and fresh produce that is beautiful. It's an absolute beautiful palace of food. We had a great time walking around and shopping. If you see the little tubs with mini croissants in it, grab three. They are stuffed with Nutella and just about the most delicious thing ever. If you're a foodie, you must stop here.

La Grande Épicerie de Paris is a slice of gourmand heaven! This store sells over 30,000 gourmet products on two floors across the street from La Bon Marché Rive Gauche. La Grande Epicerie opened in 1978. When LVMH took over La Bon Marché, the store became a high-end retailer with products of exceptional quality. This well-merchandised store carries both traditional and unique French products and products from all around the world. The store also sells beautiful fresh fish, meats, cheese, fruits, vegetables, pastries, bread, and freshly made dishes. The wine cellar in the lower level is a gorgeous showcase of the finest champagne, wines, and liquor. There are vaults with exceptional and sometimes rare treasures from around the world. The current focus is on Parisienne products until October 4, 2016. Simply fabulous!! www.lagrandeepicerie.com
