La Grande Maison

Staying at La Grande Maison is an unforgettable experience. The house itself is gorgeous. It is beautifully renovated with respect for the original elements. The rooms themselves are very comfortable, cosy and spacious. Furthermore, a lot of attention is spent on the cleanliness of the room. On your arrival, you receive a warm welcome. I loved the tour of the house. Jérôme also provided me with some excellent suggestions on what to do and visit in the surrounding area. I loved going on hikes in the Vercors and afterwards relax in the heated pool. The food is also excellent! It was great to start the day off with the extensive and varied breakfast. Aside from tasty jams, homemade bread, yoghurt and a different sweet addition every day (e.g. brioche or pancakes), you can also order eggs prepared to your preference (with bacon and cheese). I also opted to have dinner each night I stayed at La Grande Maison. This proved to be a great choice. Just as the breakfast, dinner is prepared with fresh ingredients and was simply put succulent. During my stay Jérôme and Audrey took care of me. They were amazing hosts! I want to thank them so much for a wonderful stay! For me, this was the perfect getaway. I loved how relaxing and stress-free it was. I’ll definitely book another stay here!

The hospitality offered by the hosts are over the top. We arrived at around 4pm and were greeted with bottles of local white wines. The spacious room and unique design make me feel like staying in a 5 stars accommodation. The breakfast is huge and we can choose to eat in the dining area or outdoors. They also offered meals at an extra costs and we ended up eating there two nights because the food is so good. We thought they have a Michelin Star chef there.|We were originally planned to go to Grenible. The host convinced us to visit the neighborhood villages. We were gladed that we listened to his advice and went to the villages, winery and restaurant recommended. Eventually, we bought a case of tasty wines from a family owned winery at a fraction of the price charged by big wineries, foie gras from a family farm and cooked in the B&B guest kitchen. That was the best experience we had in France. Did I forget that they have a heated swimming pool? What a treat for us. We will come back.

At the beginning of our long France - Spain tour we had the pleasure of staying one night (unfortunately) in La Grande Maison.|A beautiful old Farm house. The only thing that were missing were the geese milling around. Otherwise the scène would have been perfectly set.|The hotel is operated by two sisters who manage it with enthusiasm. The rooms are really nicely decorated with a good sense of design.|The meals are homecooked and all guests are served the same menu of the day, which really added to the homely atmosphere .|On checking in we Could smell already the dessert which was being prepared in the oven|Lovely experience with a healthy dose of personal attention

Have been reviewing small country hotels for a number of years and this is one of the best we have experienced. On arrival a welcome drink and swim and then a wonderful dinner shared with other guests. The pool is very pretty with views in all directions. The area of has not to many really interesting sites, but we enjoyed climbing the hill to the chateau ruin near Valence and tasting Syrah and other wines in Tain L'Hermitage. The stay in the hotel made our short visit very enjoyable. Many thanks to our kind hosts!

Spend one night here on the way back from Barcelona and absolutely loved it.||||Séverine and Sylvain were more than perfect hosts. The decoration is 1st class all with a lovely French rustic feel. Our room was the smallest, but was still massive and over looked the front of the house. We eat a beautiful meal with the owners and the other people staying there the night. Fab evening all round.||||The swimming pool is a bonus for those hot July evening.||||Hope to return one day soon.

Great hosts, Hospitality with a big H, rooms are great very neat and clean. Breakfast is personal en sufficient. Lots of nearby sightseeings, also for kids. Parking on the yard next to the house. There is an outdoor pool as well. Owners very helpful and kind. You feel really at home in La Grande Maison, we will come back for sure !

We stayed at La Grande Maison Drome after being on duty in the Burgundy. Séverine and Sylvain, the hosts, did a great job. They gave us a warm welcome in their beautifully renovated mansion. Don't skip the table d'hotes; it's just great!

Severine and Sylvain are wonderful hosts in their home which they converted themselves when they bought this old farmhouse over a decade ago. ||The rooms are large and extremely well appointed and Severine's home cooking to die for.||We thoroughly recommend La Grande Maison and will certainly return ourselves.||||Sam Leigh||London
