We booked directly through the hotel to get a good room, even though it was a few euros more expensive than through the booking portals. Exactly the opposite happened: We were given the double room number 4 - the smallest and darkest room in the complex. According to the reception they are fully booked. However, for the last 3 of a total of 5 days, suites could be booked online for the same price (EUR 114) as our double room - but not for us as guests who had already checked in. Room 4 is at the end of the corridor and when you are in bed or in the bathroom you have to close the respective windows, otherwise the guests on the veranda will have a direct view. The window on the other side can't be open when smokers are sitting on this side of the building. The wardrobe with safe is in an unlit corner. The hand shower does not hook into the top because the holder is too small. Other deficiencies were quickly eliminated. At checkout we were not asked about our experience.|Otherwise we were very satisfied with the atmosphere and ambience. An oasis of peace because of the few rooms; there were enough loungers by the pool. The service in the restaurant was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed tapas and an evening menu. The dishes were well prepared.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at La Hacienda. It is well located for Arucas, Las Palmas and routes into the interior aside from being a beautiful and atmospheric hotel. ||Our small suite was comfortable and gave us the space we needed for our 3 night stay though for longer stays with more than the one suitcase we had, I would say that occupants would regard it as somewhat cramped for a suite, though the additional 'downstairs' space might provide a useful extension of the room proper. Wifi was fast and stable which was not always the case with the hot water which, in the morning at least, took quite some time to run significantly hot. The detailing in the bathroom was a little tired and the varnished wooden steps you needed to climb to enter the large bath felt like a bit of a hazard when combined, inevitably, with water. The lack of a sink plug is not something I would expect from a hotel of this calibre.||The bed was very cosy and comfortable. A stronger light in the main room would have made it easier to read at night time. ||Unfortunately, we didn't have time to avail ourselves of the swimming pool, garden and jacuzzi all of which looked very temping and well-maintained.||Breakfast was a highlight. The selection was extensive and featured local Canarian specialities (such as Teror Chorizo and gofio banana juice) and some variants straight from the kitchen. My partner said the tortilla was one of the best she had ever had!. By contrast, dinner was passable but not of a quality commensurate with the standard generally of the hotel. At first glance, the menu looks to be of a good standard, featuring local cuisine but some of the mains (eg the gambas) turn out to be, in effect, tapas and therefore fall short of what you would reasonably expect at this stage of a dinner. The grilled canarian cheese starter was just a plate of molten cheese which was a very odd dish indeed. We felt dinner at the Hacienda was a reasonable choice if you had had a long day, were keen to get to bed and couldn't afford the time to drive into Arucas or LP but otherwise needed an overhaul not to risk disappointing those who might expect a higher general standard.||Finally, parking is plentiful and if using a Sat Nav, enter Jardin de la Marquesa if, like us, you find the location hard to track down. ||All in all, this was a great choice for us and hope to return one day.

Charming converted hacienda in the middle of a banana plantation -full of character. Great location for exploring the north of the island by car. The staff are very nice and helpful. Our room was big and the bed was very good, but the pillows were weird shapes and of poor quality without pillow protectors. The restaurant is OK for dinner, but nothing special and a little pricey for the quality of food. The breakfast is very good with plenty of choice. Swimming pool and jacuzzi also good. Wi-fi good throughout. Now for the bad bits (considering it's a 4* hotel): -No slippers/bathrobes and limited toiletries in bathroom -No tea/coffee making facilities in the room -Quite a lot of dust in certain parts of the room, but the bedsheets and towels were very clean. -They have a fireplace in the lounge and the whole place smells of acrid smoke when they light it in the evening. You can't sit outside because of the smell which gets into your clothes. - Ιf you have a room on the ground floor, you hear everything from the room above - no ceiling insulation. We could hear the upstairs guests walking and coughing. - Generally, the place has a tired look about it. Stained armchairs in the bedroom. - No A/C, but I don't know how hot it gets in the summer. The ceiling fan didn’t seem to be working. We went in winter and there was a heater in the room which was nice. Overall, I would probably stay again because of the character of the place and the location, but I would choose an upstairs room. This hotel can easily be improved enormously with a general refresh.

Absolutely wonderful. The hotel is located in a unique spot in a gorgeous banana plantation. You feel you're in a film setting. We had dinner on the 24th December and they treated us to a delicious seafood soup and a hake sirloin in mussels sauce which stole the show. We'll definitely be back! Merry Christmas.

We'd booked this for one night, but when we got there, we immediately booked in for a second night. Great hacienda, historic building, with quirky rooms, an slightly outdated bathroom. Our room had a lovely view over the banana plantation to the sea; although a little dark, it also helps to keep the room cool when hot. Outside was a lovely covered verandah with day beds to relax, some used books to borrow or swap, and plentiful bananas. It's pretty isolated, so no nearby restaurants etc., so if you need to go anywhere nearby, it's a car ride. They don't serve lunch, which is a bit of a shame as it means you have to leave the hotel to drive to get something to eat!! Also, there's no bar / snacks during the day, so all a bit bleak once breakfast is done. The dinners are quite nice, although the second evening the fish was still frozen, so a little disappointing. Also they ran out of tonic water and candles, so when the bar did open, no gin and tonics, and no candles at dinner. Breakfast buffet is pretty standard, but cooked eggs were completely ruined and overdone, plus a dodgy coffee machine, but all in all not too bad. The pool was very nice, although we seemed to be the only people using it, and there's a jacuzzi in one of the end buildings which you have to book. I'd recommend for one evening rather than two, because there are no facilities during the day, but I wouldn't have experienced that unless we had stayed for 2 nights. We had a leak in our ceiling from the room above and they put a wine bucket down to collect the water. Staff are nice, but I felt more could be done to improve the guest experience.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at La Hacienda Del Buen Suceso and I must say it was a memorable experience. I loved the hotel's beautiful architecture and serene surroundings. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities I needed to make my stay enjoyable. I especially enjoyed the hotel's restaurant, which served delicious food made with fresh, local ingredients. Overall, I fully enjoyed my stay and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway!

We really enjoyed view and the grounds sitting in the many seating groups. Seems the location scouts for Jack Ryan (Prime Video) thought so too. The hacienda is featured as en head of a Mexican drug cartel in s4e1. Back to our visit the fireplace is lit in the evenings in the winter. A bit a Smokey but cosy. Lovely building and historical rooms. No air con, just fans and an electric radiator in the winter. We thought this was great in December. If you are a neat freak or a light sleeper this is not for you. The skirting board, corners, behind the door, under the bed had plenty of dust and dust by bunnies. All the important things were clean, bed, bathroom. Main surfaces etc. There is no sound proofing so you hear your neighbors. Ours were very respectful but the stairs creek etc etc. The breakfast was ok, plenty of choice. Self service, and plenty of choice of juice including fresh pressed orange juice. The eggs and bacon was cold every morning. Our one dinner at the hotel included over cooked fish and sweet mustard sauce. Might have been a one off but we didn’t repeat the experience.

This is a lovely hotel set in a banana plantation. The rooms are comfortable and the continental breakfast is good. Evening meals are unfortunately only a 3 course fixed price option with 3 choices of each course - generally appeared to be 2 soups and a salad for starters, pasta or rice mains and ice cream or yoghurt desserts. It is a pity as Arucas does not have a big choice of evening eating establishments and the restaurant setting at the Hacienda is lovely. I am sure that a bigger choice of local dishes would attract others to visit.|All the staff are very friendly and attentive.
