La Hasienda Hotel & Restaurant

Cozy place for stay in Kupang, room standard for hostel, food is execptional. Thank you for the hospitality

The hotel is located close to the airport which is convenient. My problem is with the dogs which are caged outside. They are in bad condition and underfed. They are caged in a small area which stinks because the dogs are walking around in their own urine and faeces. They have nothing to play with and have been there for a number of years. Their coats are dirty and they have sores. I’m not sure if they get to leave the cage. Most dogs in Indonesia seem happy running around freely. This just doesn’t seem right.

Great stopover in Kupang on the way to Alor. Clean rooms with A/C. Very nice pool and rooftop area. Cold beer. Super close to the airport. 10/10

Such an extraordinary and unique property. Everywhere you look the mosaic overload is fantastic. Meandering through the hallways and staircases, which are just bursting with colour, you’ll find something intriguing around every corner, you just want to keep exploring. And as I did, get a little lost in there and not end up where you thought! You’ll feel like you’re on the set for a Mexican cowboy movie. The owner/builder Michael has done an amazing job creating this masterpiece. The attention to detail is mind-blowing. The staff are great. Friendly and polite. The rooftop bar/restaurant is the best place to enjoy the views of Kupang and the most beautiful sunsets, with a cold beer or cocktail. The restaurant serves great food at very reasonable prices, and plenty of variety, Mexican, Indonesian, European. Recommend the tacos. Good wine available by the glass & breakfast is included in your nightly rate. The lovely pool area is creatively designed, and a great area just to chill. Michael and his team are great at organizing all transfers to and from the hotel, the harbour and airport, ferry tickets, surfboard transfers. It’s all done, he’s always got someone there to meet you. Everything went so smoothly. It would have to be the best value property we have ever stayed in.

I just had a wonderful stay at Hotel La Hasienda. I love the unique design and architecture of the hotel. So much thought has gone into each detail. The quality of the rooms are very reasonable for the price that you pay. The staff were very attentive and accommodating and helped with anything I asked. My luggage was lost from the airline and the hotel drove me back to the airport later to pick it up later and were very helpful. The food was very good, I had the stroganoff and was very happy with it. It was an extensive menu, which was impressive for Kupang. I would have liked to have tried more things had i been there longer. I have stayed at a few places in Kupang and Hacienda is the best of all.

Superfriendly and helpful! They have a fantastic roof top terrace where drinks and food is served. We had a fantastic stay between our flights. The breakfast menu is huge and fresh, also the cappuccino was made well. Highly recommended. Just go to this happy fun and friendly place! Contact them and they will likely pick you up from the airport.
