This hotel was absolutely great. All the staff from cleaners to managers and everyone in between were so friendly. We were upgraded from a junior suite with pool view to a Suite deluxe Atlantic view; which was such a lovely gesture. Breakfast was really tasty a full buffet of everything you could think of and also a menu to order from too. The swimming pool snack bar was ok. Goats cheese salad swimming in water from the salad wasn't great on first day, and an almost burnt toasted sandwich the second day was very poor, however, the same sandwiches ordered on all other days, were of a different standard, served very differently and were very tasty. We had dinner in the connecting restaurant The Kentia on one night, which was fabulous; the food was another level; the setting was great (including the cocktail bar); and the waiting staff couldn't do enough for us. Would highly recommend a visit here. And there was a chap playing a ukulele and a couple of dancers entertaining. This was a lovely touch. All areas including room were kept clean. I think there were some issues with the pool as it was so hot it was like a hot tub, not great to swim in and cool off, although it was fine the last couple of days. So all in all a hotel very much worth staying at.

We have just come back from a 4 night stay at this beautiful boutique hotel. We went with two other friends as couples to celebrate a 50th birthday. I just can not rate it highly enough. The rooms are so spacious, immaculately clean, so much wardrobe and drawer space. Air-con was fabulous, although it was October we needed it when we came back to our room late afternoon. ||The staff were all so happy, polite and really couldn't do enough for you. Every member of staff acknowledged you, from the receptionists, cleaners, to pool and maintenance staff. You felt really special when you were there, we all loved it. |We wished we'd booked longer but work commitments didn't allow that, unfortunately. However, my husband and I will definitely return next year for a week or more. In fact some other friends are looking to book next March just from out recommendation.||Also, the Kentia Gourmet Club that was attached to the hotel was magnificent. The food was exceptional. The lovely wine Sommelier lady served us was wonderful, her knowledge of every wine we asked about was so useful. What we really liked was you didn't feel rushed, we had a lovely, leisurely evening meal in superb surroundings.||Don't hesitate to book this hotel!!

It was dark and late as the bus made its way up the hills to the Hotel we both wondered where we ending up. However Andre's made up feel so welcome both then and throughout our stay he was exceptional, and I do not give such praise lightly. It was soon clear the hotel was beautifully designed making good use of local materials. The hotel is generally quite and relaxing, the local buses stop outside so u can easily get around, the ferry in the port also makes a nice short trip to Puerto Calero. Jet 2 had a nice trip to the old capital of Teguise on Sunday where there was a large market with locals singing and dancing in the streets. |There are many restaurants in the harbour area and the strip and shops but if u are walking there are the hills to negotiate. The chill out area has lovely views however|the hotel pools felt cold and my partner never went in which was a pity. This area badly needs a jacuzzi. Also the part of the pool to actually swim in is very very small this is a concern as exercise is an important factor for us on holiday, The free yoga classes were good.| The management team for me could be more proactive, as our settee seats clearly showed wear, and the balcony furniture was not comfortable or 5*. However our cleaner worked tirelessly day after day. The duty manager also need to increase checks around the chill area during the day to maintain 5* standards. One member of staff working predominately at in the pool bar was well below that standard, hospitality is clearly not for them! Overall we both very much enjoyed our holiday both in respect of this hotel and resort.

We have just returned home from our 6th stay at the hotel. As usual, everything was perfect! We love this hotel and always return as everyone is so friendly. The staff are amazing, the hotel is beautiful and everything is very well appointed. The suites are spacious and spotlessly clean. The food and drinks at the restaurants and bars are excellent. Every single staff member we met was amazing, reception, pool staff, restaurant staff, maintenance staff were all super friendly . We feel like we are welcomed into the hotel as family . We will definitely be back. Special thanks to Mar from the breakfast restaurant for looking after us so well each morning . X

This hotel is different to any other in Puerto del Carmen. Its unique architecture, built from black volcanic rock and mirrored terraces, all set in absolutely stunning gardens stocked with a huge variety of cactus and native plants, together set the scene for a beautiful and unique holiday experience. We received a warm and professional welcome from the reception staff, and enjoyed settling into the hotel for our second visit. We first came here 9 years ago when it had recently opened. Now the hotel is in the process of refreshing its rooms, but unfortunately our room (a pool view suite which we paid extra for) is not one of those to have been refurbished. Although it was clean and still very stylish, the room furniture and equipment showed signs of wear and lack of maintenance, in a couple of areas falling short of what you might expect for the price point and star rating. However, the overall experience was still very good: the public areas of the hotel are extremely well kept, we slept well in a huge comfortable bed, enjoyed delicious breakfasts and a clean modern pool area with great views of the port, sea and mountains. The pool bar served good smoothies and delicious sandwiches, but I felt once or twice they may be short staffed. Perhaps one additional senior member of the team setting the tone of service would elevate the customer experience. The small pool and sunbathing area, although beautiful and hugely comfortable, didn’t always feel big enough to accommodate everybody as well as it should. We ate the tasting menu at Kentia Gourmet Club one evening and the food was sensational. The service was excellent here and there was an elegant traditional Canarian dance and music performance to enjoy while we ate. The hotel is situated at the top of the old town and therefore perfect for accessing some of the lovely local style restaurants in this area, as well as being close to the port, pretty Playa Chica and close access to the stunning clifftop footpath leading to Puerto Calero. Would highly recommend and return ourselves once the room refurbishment has been completed.

Just had a fantastic week here and can’t really add much more than all the amazing reviews because they are all true!|Really peaceful, fantastic service, great breakfast and all the facilities from the suites, pool and restaurant are immaculate. No sunbed wars on a morning with people reserving beds etc |Few tips, take a lovely walk from the old town harbour to Puerto Calero along the cliffs. Takes around an hour with great views. There’s a water taxi runs every hour or walk back! |Some lovely restaurants in the old town harbour and Puerto Calero. |Puerto del Carmen has a nice sunset rooftop bar next to the grand casino.|Check out No stress Italian restaurant in the old town, a family run restaurant by Italians.|And lastly us being cat lovers, the family of kittens in the hotel are adorable. Cost me a fortune the wife feeding them treats every night! |Not many places we say we’d return to as we like to try different places but we are already thinking of booking again. That says it all really.

We had a truly enjoyable stay. The service was excellent from start to finish – from the airport transfer and check-in, to the restaurant, bar, every staff we met in the hotel and check-out. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and I was pleasantly surprised that the mattress and pillows suited me perfectly. I slept well every night, which is rare for me when staying in hotels. The poolside bar offers panoramic sea views that instantly put me in full holiday mode. We’re very happy we chose this hotel. Overall, a fantastic experience and I would happily return.

A truly sublime experience, from start to finish. The staff were wholly engaged, forever smiling, forever helpful, clearly proud to be of service and every one of them made us feel thoroughly welcome. The atmosphere was warm, the facilities were smart, in pristine condition and highly maintained. The fact that we’ve booked a return visit in December simply says it all.
