La Jamaca Hotel- La Parguera

My stay at Hotel La Jamaca was truly exceptional. The hotel is cute, small, and incredibly clean, with an amazing vibe that instantly makes you feel at ease. It has a charming Costa Rica–style atmosphere, especially with its relaxing pool right in the center of the property — the perfect spot to unwind.|The bar is great, and the food was absolutely delicious, exceeding my expectations. Overall, La Jamaca offers a warm, welcoming experience that makes you want to return. Highly recommended.

Wonderful experience. Very cute place that has a chill, relaxing and unique environment. Loved the pool, waterfall and hammocks everywhere. ||Breakfast was delicious and the service exceptional. Ashley and Garcia always had a warm smile when servicing us. ||You’ll love this place! Highly recommend it.

Our king suite was very clean. It had everything we needed, and a private hammock. We had wonderful service at the restaurant and ordered the coffee rubbed skirt steak that was very tender!

I did not stay at Jamaca hotel. I went for a day pass twice and loved it so much will definitely consider staying in the future. Attention given from the moment entering to the moment of exit was excellent. Restaurant food...amazing. Drinks from bar especially piña colada one of the best I've tasted in PR. I highly recommend.

This place is a gem. Lovely and clean, with great, friendly service. The food in the restaurant is really good and the restaurant is open late so we still could eat after our bio bay swim (we got on our boat only a short drive away, at the pier)

The place is clean and quiet. The people very nice. But, I was informed by the front-desk that if I booked online instead of booking by phone the breakfast was going to be to be included. In the morning, we headed to have breakfast and was surprised with a $52 dollar bill from a breakfast for 2 , that was very expensive for the meal we had. If we would have known, we would have eaten anywhere else. So, I strongly recommend to ask if the breakfast is really included before asking for it and do not rely on the information of the front desk that may not be giving you the right information.

Clean, well kept and quiet place. We called front desk to make a reservation and we were pointed to complete one online because it would include breakfast. In the morning we went for breakfast and we were surprised with a $52 bill for 2 breakfast. The online booking was tedious and long and we would have use better our time if the front desk would have given us the correct information. And we would have made the choice to eat somewhere else

Sadly we did not enjoy our stay. The hotel seems to really be cutting corners in every aspect that really impacted our experience. The room was far smaller than we had anticipated and VERY difficult for a family of 4 to navigate with all of our luggage. It also had several mosquitos in it when we arrived that bit all of us. The breakfast "buffet" portions were so small and we were denied seconds stating a "one plate" rule when we had not eaten any of the bacon or sausage due to being vegetarian. We were allotted literally what amounted to about 2 tablespoons of diced fruit, about 1/2 cup or scrambled eggs and a small piece of French toast. Less important, but annoying was the absence of hand and face towels as well as tissues. The lighting in the bathroom was so dim that we could not adequately see. On the plus side the staff was friendly, the dinner meal was very good, and the room was clean and the location was nice but we won't be returning.

We stayed here for one night, but would have loved to have stayed even longer. The bar was cute and served great drinks. The pool was nice with a small waterfall. It is close enough to walk into town and the rooms are lovely.

Stayed here for three nights in January 2026. As a place to stay in La Parguera, I loved it and would definitely return if I were vacationing in the area. True to the name, there are hammocks everywhere, including one outside each room's entrance. Awesome pool area with a waterfall and tons of cute seating. And even though Puerto Rico as a whole never fails to delight me (a Minnesotan) with the kindness of the people, the staff of La Jamaca were endlessly thoughtful, friendly, and professional beyond my expectations. The food didn't impress me. I did actually like having breakfast each morning; the eggs, french toast, and coffee were all good. But the dinner entrees we tried were big on quantity, not so big on quality. And pretty high-priced as well. We had taco dinners and a mofongo - the latter was pretty good but quite salty, and the tacos were lacking in flavor. Also can't recommend the avocado toast. One more thing: the shower took 5+ minutes to get above room temperature, and infinity minutes to reach a temperature that could be reasonably described as "hot". But other than that, solid hotel. Clean place, comfortable beds, gated parking area, and again VERY nice staff. I sincerely hope I have a chance to return!

We did not stay at the hotel, but my friends and I came for drinks. It was completely empty when we arrived in the early afternoon, but when we came, staff came out with us to greet us and serve us drinks. The frozen pina colada and passion fruit mojito were heavenly! The atmosphere was so wonderful and relaxing.

Fantastic quaint hotel! We loved staying here it was remodeled nicely and the staff was fantastic. Room was small but big enough. We weren't there to stay inside,so we enjoyed the pool and the bar when we weren't scuba diving.

A truly hidden Jem. Beautiful Intricately woven decks with trees growing up through the spaces and in the courtyard. Has a pool with a waterfall right next to a bar. Many books for privacy. Great food and service. Less than 5 min from the boat docks and tours

Great food in small hotel setting. We stayed here for 2 nights and took boat tour to bioluminescent bay.

This is such a perfectly beautiful chill place that it is inspiring my first yelp review. Get here early and you'll have the pool, courtyard and hammocks all to yourself. Cheers to the imaginative and welcoming genius who designed this space! Rooms are also lovely.

Beautiful place & clean but you can not enjoy it for 1 minute without being attacked by mosquitoes. There was a whole army of mosquitoes by the pool area & hammocks & bar. We couldn't sleep at night due to the itching. Horrible experience, we will never go back.

Excellent facilities with new rooms!! Everything you need if you are looking for a peaceful,clean, and relaxing place!! Great food also!! Awesome service and courteous staff!! Recommend 100%!!

Very friendly employee's. Quiet and peaceful place. You feel like home. Pool is available at any time. Rooms are clean and beautiful.

My god! What a bad service, mean spirited employees and lots fake reviews from another site also the description of how close they are from La Parguera is incorrect, because they are not at safe walking distance. The nightmare begun at reservation with booking com With a fake rating of 8.2 out of 10. After making and paying with Amex they the hotel turned out our payment because they don't accept American Express anymore. That should've the biggest flag, because bad hotels will be bankrupt if they don't deliver what's in the websites since Amex will charge back the hotel for less of what they did to us. Once we arrived they didn't have what we booked for they separated our rooms and they said that if we didn't accept the rooms they would charge the rooms. We tried to negotiate to have us in one room with 2 beds to be all together and they did not agree, so after an hour we decide to stay because we were so tired and didn't want to risk no finding anything at La Parguera last minute and money wasn't an issue for us. They knew that they messed up and for the trouble offer me 1 free cocktail... en serio? Seriously? I thanked him out of courtesy, but I didn't not accept. We moved on and went to La Parguera site to eat and see the lagoon. In the morning went breakfast and they were close at 7am so I went to a near by bakery and ate. My wife and friend stayed sleeping. When I came back my wife was up and they kitchen was open then and she went for their breakfast. I went to my room and proceed to use the bathroom I made a mistake of throwing the toilet paper inside the toilet and when I flush it it overflow a little bit. I stopped the spreading of water with the towels and it worked. The person in charge went to my room and instead of cleaning and drying the floor she wanted to show me that it was my fault and flushed it again and this time she super overflowed the whole room and left it like that. Couldn't take a bath because they didn't even replaced towels. I got pictures. The worst of all wasn't that it was calling my wife a stiffer and letting another table know that we were trying to leave without paying a breakfast and my wife was right behind her when she said it. Wow! From our part no scene. This employee or owner was very embarrassed when she realized that she got caught trashing my wife and change her actitud once she realized we were high end customers stocked in a low life ran hotel. We went back to our inundated room to do a super early checkout and instead of having our room dry and with a set of towels they left an empty envelope requesting tips for the room service. Did this people lost their minds? Maybe is the water that they drink in that hotel.

Stayed with these great folks after Maria, they had planned ahead and have a generator to power the awesome AC and prepare great authentic Puerto Rican meals. These are great people, the rooms are clean, spacious well furnished and very comfortable! The beds are awesome! Great beach decor and dining.

Checked in and place is relaxing and the rooms clean. Staff is amazing! Thank you Kevin, Alex, Nicole, Jonathan and the rest of the crew. Love my # 6 room
