Great location with a fantastic ambiance, with beautifully decorated patio seating area covered by colorful bougainvillea’s. Within you’ll find children and adults bookstore, holistic store. Food is excellent, the dorado hibiscus tacos are deliciously good, and the salmon served on bed of mashed sweet potato is perfectly made combination.

Delicious lunch and good service. Very good tacos dorados & chilled rellenos de plants. I definitely would go back again.

We were so heartbroken that we only found this gorgeous bar and restaurant on our last night. The food looked incredible and I was gutted I’d already eaten. We did get some nachos and guacamole and it was really good, but I had food envy every time another table got something delivered. We saw a fabulous band and the atmosphere was so friendly and lively. Come for a gig if you can. The beer is some of the best I found in Mexico. They have a menu with a number of really good local craft beers and I honestly could have sat here happily for a few hours longer. It’s a bit out of the centre of Oaxaca, but well worth making your way too.

The food was gorgeous. I got the tacos dorados and they were delightful. The staff were lovely and then an incredible band showed up and played amazing music. Magical. Also the orgasmo pie is. Freaking. Amazing. So so rich.

This place truly does amazing food! They have great Vegan and Veggie options as well as some meat choice too. It's a great mix of flavours without being over spicy. Each meal comes with bowl of bread and bits to dip, that sauce is warm but a tasty treat. The staff are very lovely there. Top tip to wear mosquito repellent if they are fond of you. It's got beautiful plants around but they attract the mosquitoes.

This is a really nice spot for a quiet evening dinner. The tables are set in a courtyard surrounded by book and print shops, ready to sneak off to browse, while you wait for your meal to arrive. We had the Agua del dia which was a very refreshing lemon and mint infusion, and the green curry. It was simple but tastey.

I would give this place 4 stars for the food and 5 stars for the atmosphere and overall vibe :) I ordered the green curry and honestly it did not wow me. The flavours were bland and it did not have the richness I was expecting. I feel like if the chefs cooked the veggies longer in the curry paste, it would be much better. However, it felt like the veggies were simply steamed as an afterthought. The dessert was delicious although a tad dry. What I LOVE about this place though is how they sell local goods to support independent artisans in oaxaca, and their amazing bookstore. Their bookstore is also very well stocked with a wide variety of books, and also to my pleasant surprise - an amazing selection of feminist writers and activists! I also had the pleasure of discovering some poetry from local oaxacan residents as well.

Vegetarian restaurant. Good food and service. Comida corrida ( is the equivalent of lunch special) was available as well. Try the Chiles rellenos and the tacos dorados
