La Joya Balangan Resort

We booked a standard bungalow and were very happy. It was very private, had our own courtyard. The next day we were upgraded to a deluxe bungalow. This bungalow was beautiful and overlooked the pool area. Breakfast & dinner was with fresh ingredients and was also very tasty. Staff were very polite & welcoming. Communication with the resort was easy and they arranged the hotel transfers to and from the airport. We will definitely stay again.

We visited twice for food whilst we were staying nearby. The staff were friendly incredibly welcoming, friendly and happy! The food was good, we had pizza on the first night and then Indonesian lemongrass curry on the second which was delicious. The setting was beautiful, we would definitely recommend and hope we can stay there in the future too! Thank you.

Be careful here. There are some lovely villas at La Joya but beware of the so called, Family Rooms, in particular numbers 24 and 25. They are definitely not worth the money. They are accessed by steep stairs both to the room itself and internally to the children’s quarters. They are extremely cramped, with hardly any floor space to stow bags. The bathroom does not have a proper window - just a wooden shutter that doesn’t close properly. Compared to the other rooms in the resort, these in particular are run-down and a little decrepit. It was very disappointing as we could see plenty of other rooms vacant but were not given the option to change. We enjoyed the pool, the roaming cows and the beautiful gardens. It was just a shame about the expensive and very disappointing room.

We had the big 3 bedroom villa overlooking the ocean with your own personal pool, wow what a place to stay.|Great restaurant or eat in your villa with room service. The staff were very polite and helpful, they were pleased to assist and make your stay pleasurable.|Quite location with beach, great surf for board riders.

It´s a place without tv and it is definitely for surfers. People with any form of disability will not enjoy the place, which is very nice to look at.|The food is sometimes very good and at times not so good. The same dish can be taste magnificent one day and disappointing the day after. The resort is near the beach, not on the beach. Great sunsets to be experienced at their terrace.

A very nice resort small and great location in an area thats still quiet and community oriented. Great pools, excellent menus and private bungalows with gardens. Easy walk to a great beach with easy surf and a few warung for drinks meals and surf lessons if wanted. A special spot in the crowded Bali beach world.

Get the room with 180 degrees of windows. The entrance to the hotel is shabby but the bungalows are beautiful. Overall it was a good experience. La joya balangan is very cute for couples and you can see the stars at night. It also offers parking.

Great hotel, very authentic Bali feel, beautiful rooms, lovely pool and friendly staff. If you are wondering whether to stay at La Joya or Biu Biu I highly recommend choosing La Joya, the staff at Biu Biu are very on edge and look miserable and it just doesn’t have the same feel
