We stayed in Tarifa for two nights. This pleasant place is in the old walled city. They upgraded us to a bigger room right away. The rooms are well appointed and the air conditioning was a godsend in the heat that we had. We were able to walk everywhere and the staff gave us easy to follow directions to good restaurants. Note: there is no parking on site, but they showed us some free parking a few blocks away. Would definitely stay again.

La Joyita is as funky as Adonella, the owner of the hotel! Spotlessly clean, brightly coloured rooms with everything you need. Great location in the old city center, on a relatively quiet street.||Adonella is a great host , very knowledgeable and able to give good advice about Tarifa and the surrounding area.||||If we ever come to Tarifa, we know where to go!

Great value! Loved the shower, beds were comfy, room clean. Minus -- lighting needs repair on steps, dangerous. Manager is a one man show so she might not always be available, but she tries very hard

There was an unfortunate mix-up with the number of nights we were staying, but that doesn't take away from the place itself. Room and property were clean and very nicely appointed. Location was good for shopping and restaurants. Walking distance to ferry which was important to us.Only negative about the property was that it was very difficult to locate even with the directions.

We stayed at La Joyita de Tarifa for 7 days during our yoga retreat. ||The place is a real joy of Tarifa thanks to its exceptional host- the hotel's owner Serafino is a very knowledgeable and pleasant companion to talk to and will treat you as a member of his family, meeting any single demand of yours. ||||The hotel also has a superb location and great amenities:||- It is located in the heart of the historical centre and just 3 minutes from the beach. ||- A rooftop terrace is a great plus- you can enjoy your breakfast there, practice yoga, read books, sun bathe, or watch a sunset over the narrow streets of the old town. There is also hammam (Turkish spa) you can use for a little fee.||- The hotel's rooms have been recently renovated with each of them designed in one colour. The best part are practical hangers, which are a piece of art themselves. ||- Breakfast consists of a good variety of fruits, cereals, hams, cheese, toasts, cakes (many of them home-made), nespresso coffee, tea, and juice...if you miss something, just tell Serafino and you will get it the next day. ||||Muchas gracias, Serafino!

Can't say enough good things about Serafin, manager of this lovely little hotel. The décor has fab modern appeal, simple and elegant. Our room was small but clean and cleverly efficient. Serafin made our stay, with his charming happy banter and brisk helpful efficiency. The free yoga on the rooftop terrace was a plus!

This hotel is fine for a night or 2. There are no frills at all but it is clean and very central. Quite oddly the toilet was in the shower cubicle. There was no privacy when using the toilet or the shower so you need to know the person you are staying in the room with well!

We pondered a few local places to stay and went back and forth quite a bit. Location and price were a thing and we went back and forth trying to decide. We ended up choosing this because via email we got a really good vibe on how service oriented this place seemed to be and we were not disappointed.||We were very grateful for the above and beyond service we received. We were also most appreciative of the cleanliness, the perfect perfect perfect location and the comfort of the room. ||Highly recommend staying here.||One thing - parking is not as easy as you think - don't drive into the old city, park in the lot around the corner.
