"This top-of-the-line property of the San Vicente Hotel Group (which owns the nearby San Vicente and Hostal Villamil), is a three-level, all-white hotel that feels almost like a beach villa. It’s actually just a couple of blocks from Puerto Villamil’s two-mile-long stretch of municipal sand, and most of the surrounding sandy streets are filled with palm trees. The facilities here provide enough so that guests’ only real concern will be getting to other parts of the island. The restaurant stays open all day with a varied menu and drinks list. There are flat-screen TVs in the rooms and free Wi-Fi in common areas. Shaded by a few umbrellas and a cane canopy over the Jacuzzi, the rooftop terrace is the favorite hangout for most guests at this small hotel. In every direction comes another jaw-dropping view, such as the Pacific Ocean, the Sierra Negra Volcano, the highlands, or a saltwater lagoon filled with flamingos."

We had a very good experience at La laguna hotel. From the second we got in to the second we left, Juan Carlos took excellent care of us by constantly checking if we needed anything and going above and beyond with recommendations and friendly chat. The rooms were immaculate, the air conditioning was great, it was lovely to have a working fridge in the room. The shower takes a while to heat up but it does get there so fear not if you notice this initially, just check on it every 5 minutes or so. The jacuzzi was a real highlight also, with views over both the flamingo lagoon and the ocean, so if you have some time to spare it’s a great way to chill out for a morning

We had a great stay at La Laguna. The staff was very friendly and helpful, we suggest you book all daily tours with them, much easier and even cheaper. Rooms are big, bed comfortable, shower has a good pressure and hot water. The best part was to book the Jacuzzi on the rooftop after a long day. I would def recommend it

We came from Santa Cruz and arrived before noon. They came to the port to wait for our arrival, picked us up with our names written on a board, payed for a taxi to drive us to the hotel, allowed us to check in right away. At checkin we expressed that on our departure day we have a 10:00 kayaking tour and asked if we could have a late checkout. The answer was right away a yes. On that day we were able to come back to the room to wash, packed, left our bags with the front desk, walked to the restaurants next to the municipal market where the locals eat, and came back to take a taxi to report to the port an hour before the departure. The room was spacious and modern. The wide hallway had sunlight from the ceiling and water dispensing machines to refill our water bottles. The breakfast area is on the third floor with open wide glass windows looking over a flamingo pond. They served coffee, tea, juice, bread, fresh cut fruits, scrambled eggs, cheese and ham from 6:30am. We had enough time to eat before heading out for the hike to the volcano.

Our stay started really well as wr got a lift from the pier with Gian Carlo and he gave us a mini tour of the island. The room was also beautfiully decorated for our honeymoon which was a nice surprise. Unfortunately things went downhill from there. The breakfast was very poor with little options and mediocre food. On our 2nd day we walked downstairs in the morning to get our tour to find mud all over the corridors and stairs. When we arrived back at 2pm the same mud was still all over the place from ground floor to 2nd floor. On our last night the staff had a party in the jacuzzi above our room from midnight to 3am shouting and laughing the place down. When I questioned Gian Carlo about it he blamed a family staying in the hotel on this and told me you can book it anytime you want. I know this is false because I later me the same family at the airport! Overall I would not recommend this place to stay.

Location was perfect, rooms were clean and updated, the staff was extremely helpful, accomodating and kind, and the pool and hot tubs were an added bonus! The breakfast was made hot and fresh, and delicious. A fantastic stay for our family of 4!

This has been the most upscale place we have stayed at on the 3 different islands. The 1st two were nice hostels. the room is large & air conditioned. Plenty of storage area for clothing. We have a balcony overlooking a small pond with flamingos. Breakfast is included & was great with eggs, fresh breads, ham, fruit, juice, yogurt & granola, and really good coffee. We are not coffee drinkers but I had 2 cups. Omar cooked & served the food while we listened to some great 80's rock n roll. Breakfast is on the 3rd floor with a great scenic view. You can also book different island tours from the front desk & they will come pick you up at the lobby. Another great thing is it is located about 2 blocks (walking distance) from the beach and some great little restaurants and bars. The room is also clean & the bed is comfortable. They supply soap but bring your own shampoo & conditioners.

We were moved to the first floor, where the balcony door was broken, it simply did not close. The staff spent the whole day repairing it. Breakfasts are discounted, the cook pours uneaten yogurt into a common container, probably for next time.

A really good hotel, very good central location with nice clean rooms and a comfy bed. The staff were very helpful in giving any information and were extremely friendly, also reasonably priced for the Galápagos.
