La Lanterna by Franco Seccarelli

One of my girls found this place while sightseeing during my birthday vacation. What a hidden Gem 💎! We were there for hours having the Best experience 😍. The food is Devine, the drinks are Delicious & The gracious staff were AMAZING! A Def MUST-DO in PR.

The walk into the restaurant is magical. The staff greeted us with that 5 star service you would expect. Our sever Hanabal was knowledgeable and attentive. The food was amazing. So delicious I didn't want it to end. The cocktails were perfectly balanced. I give this restaurant 5 Stars all day.

Absolutely wonderful, from start to finish! My cousin and I stopped in the bar while our husbands ran an errand, and we had a delightful time with the bartenders as they created their amazing libations. They were so nice and full of stories. The evening continued as we were seated for dinner. The entire place is beautifully laid out, yet you get an impression of coziness. I wasn't particularly hungry, so only had a Caprese salad, but the mains of my companions were phenomenal. My husband had one of the daily specials, grilled branzino. It was perfectly cooked and flavorful. My cousin had the other special, halibut in a tomato caper sauce. Her husband had the lamb meatballs, which he consumed with gusto. We all shared a starter of pasta with a truffe sauce - Holy cow, it was amazing! The bread was fresh and a great accompaniment. We split our desserts, basil panna cotta and chocolate soufflé with vanilla ice cream. Our servers were attentive but not overbearing. So, so good - very happy we stumbled in!

This restaurant is total scam. We were a group of 8 girls celebrating a special occasion. The plan was to order a bunch of things and share so we can try as many things as possible. At this point the waiter then proceeds to list items that are not on the menu that are worth the try. He then, on his own, insisted that we can do half portions. So each one of us ordered half portions. By the end of it, we got charged an outrageous amount of $40 for each of the half portion. When we inquired we were told the full portions was only about $45-$50 that too rudely. Despite asking to arrange for a little celebratory dessert, they did not bring it. They brought it to the table next to us and brought us a small note saying congrats. This also felt a little racist in all honesty. Lastly, there was a woman with red/ginger her who was particularly rude. Not worth the time and money to whatsoever. Lack of transparency and not a very welcoming dining experience.

Amazing place. Quiet, sedate atmosphere, Amazing food, great service. In the heart of Old San Juan. What's not to like? Would go again in a heartbeat.

This was our best meal in Puerto Rico and one of the finest meals we have ever had anywhere. The food, service and atmosphere were top shelf. The service was superior in all aspects without being overbearing. The food was perfectly executed. Creativity, flavors and presentation were wonderful. We sat in the garden which is a beautiful setting.

In my opinion La laterna could be one of the nicest places restaurants in San Juan, perfect atmosphere to a romantic date, kinda dark with beautiful architecture, sculptures and plants who makes you feel connected with the atmosphere. My real opinion about food is 10/10 , so delicious and perfect cook. Manager is really kind and makes you feel comfortable.i ordered fetuchini with truffles it was amazing.

This place was amazing. We were walking through old San Juan and found this place I was starting to get tired and hungry and they sat us immediately without having to have any reservation even though they were booked for the night. Our servers were great and explained everything to us. The food was excellent. For desert I got the house favorite the Chocolate soufflé and also tried their apple tart desert I’m not sure what it was called but it looked amazing.
