Neighborhoods in Madrid

"La Latina is filled with casual tapas bars where anyone can indulge in un pincho de tortilla (a Spanish potato omelet) and a couple of tipples. The lively neighborhood is the place where locals meet for after-work drinks or a Sunday beer. Grab yourself a spot at the terrace of La Buha, a very popular Spanish tavern serving hearty portions, for a delicious culinary immersion. If you happen to be in the city on a Sunday, make sure to wander the neighborhood’s popular El Rastro flea market. For a bit of culture, head to one of Latina’s many theaters hosting international and local plays, or pop into the imposing Basilica of San Francisco el Grande to take in the grand architecture and admire some paintings by Goya and Zurbarán." - MATADOR_NETWORK

We stopped in here for a quick dinner. I didn’t know what the vibe of the restaurant would be but it’s definitely a party on a Friday and Saturday night. The food and drinks are all inclusive. It’s about $100 a person. The food is pretty good although if you do not eat beef and pork, your options may be limited. Personally, I had a great time. The food was delicious. It would be a great place to celebrate birthdays!

La Latina is located where Copacabana Brazilian Steakhouse used to be so, the place is spacious and inviting. The food is mostly Mexican / Latin American inspired so, I agree with other reviewers in that it’s not necessarily the most authentic. We tried several dishes, including the Croquettes, Salt Cod Fritters, Tamales, Tacos, Brussel Sprouts, French Fries and Guava Cheesecakes. Overall, the food was tasty, although some portions seemed a little small for the price, and it felt more catered to a non-Latin American audience. We also had a few drinks, including beers and, cocktails like Margaritas and Mojitos. They were decent but the mint in the Mojito didn’t look very fresh.

We're a picky group of 30 somethings who had a birthday here tonight. $75 gets you unlimited drinks, tapas, and fresh grilled meats. Avril, our server, was the most gracious and attentive server amongst a whirlwind of live entertainers, fire dancers, DJ's, servers, and impatient people lined up at the door waiting to get a table. The manager (tall gentleman in a suit with a bun) was extremely professional, and to be honest this restaurant surpassed our expectations in terms of food, customer service, and overall experience. Highly recommend. Also, the music was amazing!

Loved the vibe, the live music was great and the bar's aesthetic was GORGEOUS. Food was good; we enjoyed everything, but can't say any one dish was a standout. Drinks were very good. The cheesecake is a sharer for sure (very rich sauce) but the tres leches cake is too good to share 🙃

Went with a group of 6. Quite a busy place. Very popular for dates. Lighting and wall decor is quite funky. Cocktails are on point -- including drinks served in pineapples. Food was great as well. We sampled plantain fritters, tacos, nachos, and croquettes. However, the wait staff is absolutely terrible. We had to ask for our cocktails a few times before they were brought out. I don't know if the wait staff is overworked, but it is not a great look for a place that obviously takes great pride in their drinks.

For those who miss traveling to an all-inclusive resort, this is as close as it gets, especially during this winter. You have an option of going with unlimited drinks for 90 minutes, including alcohol. Plus all, you can eat food as well. The live music went perfect as well. I would definitely go back again for the wonderful experience.

Really nice restaurant and great ambience. The music was a vibe and the food was pretty good. I really enjoyed the drinks (which were very strong) and the appetizers. The tacos I tried (mushroom and chicken) were good but didn’t stand out to me. Overall, really cute spot, good service and pretty good food!

Great energy all evening long! Live music and fire show were very enjoyable. Waitress was very quick and friendly. The asado meats came by very frequently so we weren’t waiting for food. The best food items for us was the prime rib eye and birria taco. We weren’t a fan of the ceviche (fishy taste was overpowering) and grilled broccolini (tasted burnt) Highly recommend the all inclusive drinks because their cocktails are unique and made very well. The mojito was top notch. The price is worth it if you have 2 drinks or more. Perfect place to visit for a birthday it for a vibrant date.
