Went here based on the reviews, and it was so worth it! - hidden in a cosy street in the old town, we got situated outside in the streets (we reserved a table and i reccomend it). The servers were very funny but they also ment business(in a good way). We got the feeling like we were coming to their home, and here we are doing it the spanish way, loved it! The food is very good, authentic spanish tapas, we got reccomended the amount of dishes and it was a perfect amount. - They serve one by one, and everybody around the table gets time to enjoy and talk about the food. The prices are VERY low. I honestly couldve paid double, it was that nice! The only thing i can say they didnt have a drink menu, but it didnt matter, we got beer and the houses wine.

We loved everything about our experience here! The tapas was incredible. People must ignore the average 4.4 rating here on Google - it is far better than that. It is situated in a beautiful, old, rustic, house in the old town. Off the beaten track, but worth the walk to find it. The lamb was exceptional, as were all the dishes we tried. Filipe, our kind, attentive, and fun waiter, looked after us brilliantly and offered great suggestions. He didn't want us to be over-faced so recommended that we'd ordered enough - we really appreciated that kind of service! The music was not what we expected but was great, a medley of 70s 80s and 90s tunes. It added to the lovely atmosphere and was fun. We are planning to go back again tomorrow before we leave Calpe because we enjoyed it so much. The best meal we've had of an exceptional week of food experiences (and I research carefully to find the best places 😋) pictures will follow.....

9 years ago we visited this place and had our first ever Spanish Tapas. We had to come back for another visit now we back in Calpe and it is still as amazing as the first time. It is hard to explain what makes this place as special as it is, but every mouthful is tasty ( beyond this really) cooked fresh, even the bread was still warm, the olives melt in the mouth. Waiter is funny and attentive. It is tucked away but if you are in Calpe then you must visit here and try some proper home cooked tapas. We would have got more photos but we ate it before I had a chance.

I recently had the most incredible dining experience at this hidden gem of a restaurant. From the moment I stepped onto the charming, narrow street where it's nestled, I knew I was in for something special. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, with tables set outside to enjoy the perfect weather. Now, let's talk about the food. Words can hardly do justice to the exquisite dishes they serve. It was so phenomenal that my companions and I couldn't resist booking a second dinner just to savor more items from their extensive menu. Each dish was a masterpiece of flavor and presentation. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the staff. They are not just waiters; they are culinary guides who helped us navigate the menu and made thoughtful recommendations. We were so excited about the choices that we tried to order more than we could handle, but they kindly intervened, ensuring we had a delightful dining experience without overindulging. In summary, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. The cozy atmosphere, the tantalizingly tasty food, and the welcoming vibe all combine to create an unforgettable dining adventure. I can confidently say that this place has secured a permanent spot on my list of all-time favorites.

Amazing family ran tapas and restaurant recommend dates/prunes in bacon. Have been going here as long as I remember (34 years) and the dates/prunes in bacon are just lovely. I dream of them often, used to pester my grandma to make them. We went in July and as good as usual. Beautiful atmosphere, very busy and bustling. I would recommend getting their advice on portions as they know portion sizes. I had eyes bigger than my stomach and wanted to order too much they helped me reduce it but they were right was too much. Wish I had ordered less and ordered more of the dates/prunes in bacon. Probably worth booking if in summer especially if bigger group and on Friday/Saturday. My partner has allergies and the son speaks amazing English and could advise on dishes.

The waiters were very friendly and funny. A truly authentic spanish-run restaurant, located in a calm, tasteful neighborhood. Food and quality ratio is good. Sangria and gazpacho best I ever tasted. Overall great experience.

Waiter was great fun and service was fantastic. Atmosphere was super relaxed with everyone around chatting and enjoying the food. BEST OF ALL the food was absolutely delicious, by far one of the best restaurants we’ve been to.
