Were able to stay here for a night away for our anniversary and it felt like a million miles away but only 2 miles down the street from our house. From the moment we reached out to stay until we left, we felt truly cared for. Nick, the general manager, met us at the gate and showed us to our room, which was cozy and had a few treats for our stay. We wandered around the property, which was just so peaceful; the pond so lovely and full of life. We loved playing backgammon in the lounge and enjoying a bottle of wine after a dinner downtown. The breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious, all handmade items: granola, fritatta, and coffee. Just lovely. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a weekend away or a place to let an out of town guest stay if you are a local.

We absolutely loved our trip here! The family who runs it is so nice and accommodating, and the space is incredibly beautiful. The breakfast is amazing too! The location is very convenient to lots of hikes, beaches, and restaurants. We hope to come back soon!

The photos don’t do justice! Such a hidden gem, we've been to SLO twice before but our first stay here, lovely combo of luxury touches while still nice and cozy. Breakfast was delicious and host was part of the family that runs it, very warm and welcoming and knowledgable! Just a short ride from the airport but we felt like we were out in the middle of wine country. We loved the complimentary tasting and the wine, the grenache was our favorite! And so many good wineries nearby, we need a full trip to visit them all. The rooms and landscaping were immaculate (the roses!!!! 😍) 5-10 mins drive from the downtown shops and restaurants. Already missing our stay, can't wait to come back!

Beautiful place and everyone was awesome. Breakfast was great. Darlene was the best. If your staying in the San Louis Obispo area definitely consider the ranch as a place to stay

I have to say WOW; La Lomita Ranch is a total hidden gem -- my husband and I feel like we've stumbled onto a hidden treasure. We went on a honeymoon roadtrip from NorCal to SoCal and needed a place to stop for a night to rest on our way back - a friend who went to college at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo recommended La Lomita and we were absolutely blown away once we arrived. ||This place is a labor of love -- I am from Spain and I felt like I was at home, but with a California twist. They have beautiful Spanish courtyards with authentic tilework that is an actual work of art, and we were so in love with the animals at the ranch!! It is incredibly well-maintained (and it's a big property) and absolutely gorgeous. It has the prettiest barn cat and the cleanest barn I've seen in my life with beautiful horses, in a nod to the property's history as an Arabian horse breeding ranch. We loved hearing about the property from Darlene, the chef who prepares a Spanish-style breakfast that was a true highlight.||The rooms are clean, very spacious, and absolutely beautiful with the authentic tilework and barn-style layout and stylized doors. The ranch is clear about the fact that there is not tv in the rooms, but they have tablets for you to watch online shows on. They also left a bottle of wine in our room as a honeymoon present, which was very sweet, and they leave a basket of local products for all the guests - a very nice touch!||I almost never write reviews, but I am doing this because I was so blown away by how beautiful and well-taken care of this place is. My husband and I stayed at a bunch of fancy hotels all up and down the California cost that were 2x the price of La Lomita, but La Lomita was by far the coolest and most interesting. We are already looking for excuses to randomly go to San Luis Obispo so we can stay here and show more people how absolutely amazing something can be when passion and hard work are poured into it.

Wow. What a great property! It’s a working ranch with seven or so rooms and suites plus a hacienda house. The rooms are beautifully appointed in the Spanish mission style with Saltillo tile floors and decorative bathroom tiles. The bedding and bath products are luxurious and the ample continental breakfast includes homemade frittatas, fresh baked bread, homemade granola and jam, Greek yogurt and charcuterie and cheeses. Manager Darlene greeted us every day at breakfast and had many helpful suggestions about things to do in the area. The grounds are lovely and peaceful. It’s a five minute drive into town but so relaxing to be in the countryside. Looking forward to a return trip!

Went to the venue for a concert. I had not been on this part of the property before. It was very clean, the staff was friendly, the room itself was pleasant, and not cold despite it being in the 40's outside. While not an overnighting guest, I would recommend the venue.
