I see all the angry comments on Google about this restaurant. We went very early for dinner which, in Madrid, meant the restaurant was almost empty. Fine with us. Quiet and serene. Food was good, though except for the excellent seafood, far from memorable, view was spectacular.

We went just for oysters and wine so not much to say about the food itself. But the place is nice and the service is good too. Very high quality and everything fresh

I was excited to finally dine here after a few trips to Madrid. I had a table outside and was starting to really enjoy it, until an influx of street vendors poured in. The restaurant staff did nothing to shoo these people away and for a €70 lunch, it really interfered with the experience. You cannot let your guard down and relax, as people are constantly coming to sell you things. My meal was nothing special and the service is sub par. I asked for a wine menu and they said “only red or white”. There is no wine menu, which is interesting for a restaurant that used to have a Michelin star. The white wine was very sweet. For lunch I ordered the tomato salad, and most of the tomato slices were still frozen. I was surprised they had to freeze tomatoes in Spain. The shrimp was OK. Best part of the meal was seeing the Palace and having refreshing aqua con gas.

Bel careful when ordering every little thing is charged, even you don't order and they claim to "offer". Each fench fry brick is charged). We were 3 people. That being said, the food is good.

Sat here for a drink on 1st May 2025 between 22:00-23:30 and had a pleasant time but unfortunately our bag got stolen which had our camera in so we lost all our holiday pictures. Servers were apologetic though. If anyone finds a blue Nikon Coolpix w100 (it was in a children’s animal bag) please let me know

It's really a seafood restaurant, but I was in the mood for a burger. Wasn't the best I'd had but meat was high quality and fries were really nice. Given a bowl of nuts when seated at the table. Staff was very friendly and spoke English. Wine by the glass was decent. The location and view are very relaxing compared to most of the city with great outdoor seating. An artist was painting the area while I ate lunch.

🦐 We were recommending to come here from our Concierge at the hotel as we were in the mood for seafood. 🦐 We are visiting from Texas and a word of advice, dinner is served late here. We got here at 8:10 pm and they were just opened and don’t even have their first guest yet, so come later. 🦐 We ordered the clams, shrimp, prawns, fish, and octopus. Our server was exceptional and service was top notch. We were the only one at the restaurant until around 9:30pm. 🦐 Really loved how fresh and how correct the shrimp and prawns came out. Some may say that it’s undercooked but this is how shrimp suppose to be like. Not well done. The clams were cooked right in front of us on a stove with all the ingredients and serve hot with a garlic wine sauce. 🦐 Overall I loved how gorgeous the view overlooking the jardin and palace. The service was perfect, every plate was delicious, and the ambience was cozy, intimate, and peaceful. Highly recommended 5/5 🌟

Yelp
It was a quite hot afternoon after a long tour of the royal palace. But we had a nice seat in the shade. The salads and beer that we ordered were good under the circumstances. The service was a bit scattered and disjointed. Never sure who was bringing what or when.

Yelp
It's Ok. Don't go out of your way . Nice ambiance. Food is average. Probably better options

Yelp
I've never liked olives before but wow these marinated olives were absolutely delicious I am a converted green olive fan and the garlic shrimp was one of the best shrimp dishes I've had everything was so flavorful even the veggies!

Yelp
The service here sucks. Yes there was one waiter who was kind and patient with us as we ordered. But the other waiters were disrespectful and it seemed like some were racist towards me and my parents who were the only asians in the restaurant.

Yelp
Probablemente mala seleccion de comida pero mi experiencia no fue muy grata ademas del mal servicio y precios demasiado altos.... y aclarando no me importa pagar atlas cantidades siempre y cuando la comida sea calidad.

Yelp
A gorgeous bar & restaurant next to the palace in Madrid. It has lots of outdoor seating for the warm days and also nice interiors. We only had finger food here so cannot comment on the normal menu here. We were here for a group event and the staff were very nice and friendly. We learnt how to make a Negroni and we were served finger food the whole evening. The food was quite ok but not as a replacement for dinner. This place is supposed to be good for seafood but unfortunately we did not get any seafood finger food. Overall a nice experience and I would probably come here again to try the full menu and update my review once again.

Yelp
If you're looking for seafood, look no further. It's as fresh as it gets. This place faces the royal palace. We were seated upstairs by the window facing the palace as we watched the sunset. We got a resy at the time of dinner service (830p). There wasn't anyone else at dinner at this time. We basically had 2 private chefs all night. Their house cava was bomb. Clams and prawns were flambé(d) right in front of us. It was fire! Then we were served the hake cheeks. They split the plates up for us bc my husband and I were sharing. Portions were huge. Basically, 8 fish died for us so that we can feast on their cheeks. Animals. I know. Finally, the turbot was bomb. Made perfectly. Fell off the bone. I cannot recommend this place high enough.

Yelp
Had an absolutely incredible meal here. To start we shared the grilled vegetables and the clams. The clams were some of the best I have had and were so extremely flavorful. They were made right in front of us, which I loved to see. We also had the lobster mango salad, which was delicious. For mains one of my friends had the steak and said it was incredible. The rest of us has fish and all loved it. They bring you all of the fish options out in the beginning of the meal so you can actually see the raw cuts of fish and they tell you how they prepare each one. The deserts were perhaps my favorite. The creme brûlée was amazing and the pineapple dessert was also delicious. The service was great and very attentive. The restaurant has amazing decorations and a great vibe and interior. I really loved this restaurant and I would definitely recommend for a nice meal in Madrid

Yelp
We had a change of heart at the last minute and wanted something at the finer end of the spectrum.  It was Friday evening at peak hour 9pm and after being rejected by a few places (all full) we went back to our hotel and asked for help.  Our hotel (VP Plaza Espana Design, which was also a 10/10, btw) concierge Carlos managed to secure an immediate spot for our party of three at La Lonja Del Mar - at the restaurante upstairs, not the taberna which is also part of the establishment.  Wow, we are so glad we went there.  Initially we feared that it might be touristy etc but we were totally wrong.  We were the only table of tourists there, everyone else were locals (wealthier clientele), and tables were well spaced apart/great social distancing.  This restaurant totally reminded us of Le Bernardin (the 3 star seafood restaurant in NYC) except this was better: our table had a direct view of the Madrid Royal Palace,  the staff were far more friendly than the cold staff at Le Bernardin albeit equally professional, the seafood was equally top notch probably slightly more hearty here, and price much cheaper than NYC.  Also a bonus was that were had a nice stroll around the Royal Palace and Theatre square downstairs after dinner.  I hate to say this but this was also better than our experience this trip at the 1 and 3 star Michelin restaurants we dined at.  Very highly recommended if you don't mind paying a little more for a special dinner with some fantastic seafood without tourists and enjoy a nice after-dinner stroll.  Great value for what you get.

Yelp
Really nice place. The interior design is beautiful and classy. The service is really friendly. We were cold so she suggested us to sit next to the fire. We had a tea. They have various flavors. But they are specialized in various mixed drinks, cocktails and also wines. Nice place where to have a drink after visiting the Palacio Real.

Yelp
This restaurant is a scam. We ordered the fish off the specials and they charged 90 Euros for ceviche with 2 shrimp! 80 Euros for a tiny crab lasagna! I have had the privilege of eating at the finest restaurants in the world. This place is a rip-off! Please don't get scammed!

Yelp
Please avoid this place at all cost. The waiter would not stop pushing the over priced lobster. We told him 5 times we did not want it. The food is sub par. Portions are really small. Fish tasted like hospital food.

Yelp
There seem to be two La Lojas next to each other: one looks to be very good Spanish sea food the second next door should be avoided. We were somehow shunted j to the second which had zero atmosphere and bad food most all of it fried. The barquitos de patatas are nothing more than big American fries; nothing authentic about them. Everything seems fried Avoid the second one at all costs.

Yelp
What a wonderful January day, the sun setting and a great gin tonic and wine, appetizers and wonderful service. This is Madrid in all of its glory. Thank you Moja for your exceptional service!

Yelp
My family and I came in here for a late lunch / early dinner when we landed in Madrid because it had good reviews and was located just outside our Airbnb. But it was a huge disappointment. They didn't have the "barquillo de papas", yet the pulpo dishes came on a bed of potatoes. We ordered "croquetas variadas" and they only brought us cod croquetas. And to top of off the "entrecot" steak had a foul order which I initially thought was the seasoning or what they cooked it in but the rest of my family was convinced it was spoiled so we had t send it back and the restaurant didn't dispute it once they got a whiff. I've never had to send food back. I left there feeling disgusted and the service wasn't much better. My wife and I are now praying we don't get ill from the spoiled meat and that it derails our trip. Lesson here: if it smells off, don't eat it.

Yelp
My dad and I only got to spend 24 hours in Madrid. Thank goodness we happily stumbled upon this lovely restaurant! We ordered the Pork and Chorizo Paella for two (the menu says for two but the skillet it came in could honestly feed about 4!). It was served hot and fresh. Absolutely loved it being my first meal to ever eat in Spain!

Yelp
The setting was lovely in the outdoor patio for out group of 12. Service was not good. we had to ask three times for water glasses fie some of our guests. The chicken paella was mushy and salty and had very few prices of chicken and the seafood paella had very few also. Both tasted like rice-aroni. Overpriced and not recommended.

Yelp
Visited for dinner on our last night in Madrid. The misters were refreshing on this hot evening. We were a bit dissapointed as two items we ordered were not avaliable . The food was tasty although yhe mixed paella was a bit oily and avoid the "homemade" custard, thatbis unless you like it grainy. The red tuna tartsre was very good but a bit pricey. Check your bill carefully as charges were higher then printed on menu and they charged us for one of yhe unavsilsble items. When we pointed this out they graciously corrected the bill.
