Hotel La Louisiane au coeur de Saint-Germain des Prés

Woke up to a RAT eating its way through our luggage and I cannot even explain the horror of that experience (family room floor 5). Hotel reaction indicated this was a normal experience for them. The new room had a terrible stench of MOLD and the bathroom was covered in FLIES coming up from the drain (room 21, 1st floor). Hotel also confirmed they had recent BEDBUGS on the 3rd floor. You are NOT SAFE at this hotel - stay away at all cost. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. In the event of a fire or emergency guests are screwed trying to get out, since there’s so much junk in the hallways. The worn down look of the hotel (holes is the rugs etc) is irrelevant in comparison to RATS/MOLD/FLIES AND BEDBUGS - but it does not add to the experience. They confirmed refund in writing - but refused to pay and stopped answering as soon as we left. So we paid full price for this horrific experience. STAY AWAY - THIS HOTEL IS A SAFETY HAZARD

Very nice staff. The hotel is very well situated in the heart of Paris. You can go to many places on foot. The metro station Odeon (M4 going to Chatelet les halles and Gare du Nord and M10) is just 250 m away. The room is as described. The bed is very comfortable.

Amazing location, in the heart of saint Germain des pres, surrounded with transportation and great bakeries! Antoine is of an amazing help with everything. Xavier also welcomed us and we had a nice chat. We had a lovely time in the hotel and will come back

Good location in the heart of the 6th. Lots of clubs and restaurants right on the corner and on the street but surprisingly little noise. |Very basic: small bed with one blanket and pillow. Small but clean bathroom. |My room’s walls were graffitied, I hat graffiti.|Carpets in halls dirty and mismatched.|For this price point and location, perfectly fine especially if you’re going to be exploring Paris all day.

The location is nice, but the hotel room itself is very basic - not worth the price - and dirty. Generally the walls a completely plain white, without pictures or decorations. The room is furnished without any taste for cozyness. Every surface is dusty and the carpet got quite big stains. The bathroom is okay, although the water pressure is kind of zero in the 3rd floor. It is noisy during the night because of the restaurants around the hotel. I cancelled my stay after one night and went somewhere else.

It was a special experience to stay in such a beautiful and historic hotel. The room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable. The staff was kind. I slept wonderfully.

Location is amazing. Staff is very kind and available. The room is clean and very simple. It’s fine for 2 nights! It would be great if they had space for luggage.

Great location in St. Germain De Pres. I love the history of this hotel. We were here for 6 nights and enjoyed coming home to a simple environment after a day of exploring Paris. It's does not gild the lily but we are here to sleep well, rest and shower, not bask in luxury and expensive amenities (we do love those but it is tres expensive!). It is quite minimal and essential. Beds, bathroom, soap, safe and mini refrigerator. We stayed in the double twin room. Very comfortable beds. Loved the windows overlooking Rue de Seine from the bedroom and bathroom. Very easy to get to all the good stuff in Paris! There is a laundromat just down the street if you need to do laundry and grocery store across the street. It CAN be noisy at night with the lively bars down the street so ... you will either love this or hate this. For us, we loved hearing Paris enjoy itself so much! The windows kept most of the noise out. Also, they do not have AC so I don't know how comfortable this will be with just a fan when it gets hotter in the summer. Room prices are very good though! I would stay here again, this I know for sure!
