La Lucha Sangucheria Criolla

Easily my #1 favorite fast food chain in all of Peru. I highly recommend trying the chicharrón sandwich, which is slow-cooked crispy pork belly, thinly sliced sweet potato, salsa criolla, lime juice, and all served in perfect bread roll. Paired with the national drink of Peru, chicha morada, and you've got yourself a quick & out-of-this-world amazing meal complete with very prompt service. Seriously, I can't sing these guys' praises enough, and very much worth a visit or five while visiting Peru. 🍻

Great pork belly chicharron sandwich. When you go there in the morning, you'll get the sandwich with minimal waiting. But when you go there at midnight, you'll enjoy the fun vibes of partiers taking their late night snack. Chicharron and lechon a la lena sandwiches were all great. Drinks were also nice, especially the warm emolientes were so nice when we were recovering from bad cold.

Fist meal in Peru! La Lucha sangucheria was recommended by our tour guide from Gate 1 Travel and we are so happy he did. Place is super cute and there were a bunch of sandwiches to choose from the two that we had were very flavorful. Chicharrón and the other one was lechón ( both different ways of making the pork). We tried for the first time chicha morada which is a juice made from blue corn. The fries were also on point!

It was my first time eating a sandwich in Peru and La Lucha didn't disappoint. I asked the smiley girl at the till which options were most typical and which one was her favourite. Since I find chicharrón too heavy I ordered a butifarra, which was moist, tasty and not heavy. The mustard was especially good and I would have it again. Next time maybe I'll try the pavo a la leña or the pollo a la brasa. I can't wait! *Update* I came back, had the Chicharrón and it was even better than the Butifarra! Less oily sauces, more succulent meat, fresh onion & vinaigrette. It was awesome!!

Incredibly DELICIOUS sandwich shop ! The most succulent chicken sandwich I have ever had !! There's a reason why there's always hardest of people waiting in line for a seat at this kick butt establishment,, it's really, really good ! Juicy and tender chicken, beef and pork sandwiches, fresh natural juice smoothies , proper French fries , thus place is a gem and a definite must visit in lima and the Miraflores neighborhood. I was literally blown away by how Incredibly DELICIOUS the food is here, I will be a regular here for the remainder of my time in lima. Holy smokes I can't stop thinking about the food here ! You must come and try ANYTHING! It's all good It's an old school order and then sit and they deliver you the order . Service was prompt,,food was hot ! Prices are reasonable Tvere will be wait times , especially at peak hours! Can recommend the list place enough!

We ordered the La Lucha and a burger. The La Lucha was especially delicious, with perfectly crispy bread and great flavor. The place is very clean and the staff are polite and friendly. Really enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend!

You know a restaurant is great when you see the locals lined up outside down the streets. Fortunately, we were there during a downtime and got the last table. Counter service with table delivery. It’s a very popular Peruvian sandwich shop known for: Sánguches criollos – Peruvian-style sandwiches with fillings like roasted pork (lechón), beef tenderloin (lomo), turkey, and chicken. The Freshly made juices – especially chicha morada (purple corn drink) and maracuyá (passion fruit) are amazing along with the crispy hand-cut fries. Me and my friend had the fries and the Chicharrón: Thick slices of crispy, deep-fried pork belly with Camote frito: Slices of fried sweet potato. They were soft on the inside, slightly crispy on the outside. It is served with Salsa criolla: A tangy onion relish made with thinly sliced red onions, lime juice, chili (usually ají amarillo or rocoto), cilantro, and a touch of salt. The bread was incredible! It was served on a fresh French-style bun (soft yet slightly crusty), perfect for soaking up the juices without falling apart. We're definitely coming back!

After so many people recommended I had to try this restaurant hours before leaving Peru. Line was pretty long so I figured it was definitely going to be good. After ordering the famous chicharrón sandwich (pork) their fries and local juice I was literally in shock.. the hype weren’t kidding, this place was DELICIOUS, I would actually just fly to Lima to get it, that good it was. Highly recommended, 10/10
