Disappointing “All-Inclusive” Experience – Not up to 4-Star Standards
The hotel advertises itself as “all inclusive,” but in reality, many basic items come at an extra cost. Regular beer, energy drinks like Red Bull, and even ice cream for children were all behind a paywall. At the bar, only diluted beer was available as part of the package. Personally, I ended up drinking only water – very expensive water, considering the high price paid for the so-called “all inclusive” service.
The food was equally underwhelming. Despite the hotel being located by the sea, there was no fresh fish at the buffet – only frozen options. It was clear that corners were being cut. I would have preferred à la carte – fewer options, but better quality. Interestingly, even the hotel owner regularly dined at the nearby tavern – which was excellent, by the way. That says a lot about the hotel’s food.
Staffing is another area where the hotel is clearly saving money, relying mostly on workers from Asian countries, who often seemed overstretched and undertrained.
Another red flag: full payment is required in advance, with no refund option. This feels like a tactic to prevent guests from leaving early or spending their money elsewhere once they realize the reality.
All in all, the experience was very disappointing – especially if you’re used to the quality and service of Austrian 4-star hotels. I would not recommend this place.
