RECOMMEND. Busy Tuesday morning — warmly welcomed, seated at the diner bar. Enjoyed a breakfast burrito, side of cheese enchiladas and coffee. Tasted great!

Good-old small-town diner. Awesome Mexican food. Great value. Love the small town atmosphere.

Couldn't find a seat, so got it to go. The breakfast burrito was outstanding. I think they forgot about my order as it took 30 minutes.

Google
Love this place. The staff is fabulous and very friendly. The food is delicious 😋 and very filling. It's small with 4 booths and counter seating for about 8. But well worth the wait. Pancakes are a must try, too.

Yelp
So many American and Mexican offerings from the menu. Also, he has instituted a special and it's available. I am always going to order something different and then I have to have three tacos every time I adore them. it is the only place that I like hamburger taco. I really enjoy the green sauce on everything. Don't miss this amazing place with amazing food and great service.

Yelp
First time at La Lux Del Dia for Egg Burros and coffee to go. Think everyone had a different order and everyone was happy. Friendly service, friendly locals. All very good here! I will be back

Yelp
My wife and son raved about this place after stumbling upon it on a road trip. It lived up to the hype and then some. A true old-school diner experience similar to Frank's in Tucson. We got the chorizo and eggs with beans and hash browns - the best hash browns I've ever had. To top it all off: pancakes. Somehow fluffy and crispy at the same time. Worth your while!

Yelp
Found myself in Globe and read about La Luz in the local paper. So went for breakfast and was happy I did. Very friendly staff and good food for the price. I liked getting a big bottle of salsa to use as much as I like, which is a lot! But waitress forgot my toast. No biggy, they were busy on a Saturday morning. I'll mention it next time and enjoy extra pieces of toast with my chorizo and eggs!

Yelp
The food is all home made. It's not a fast food restaurant (so if ur in a hurry I would call ahead) but it's worth the wait. You can chat with the cook as he prepares you're meal. Fresh cut fries, hand shaven hash browns, menudo, burgers, ground beef tacos, and pozoli on Sundays, chilaquiles... Oscar treats everyone like family and it's a Great way to start the day!

Yelp
What a gem!!! We rode 70 miles in 106 degree heat for breakfast. Would have rode twice as far!

Yelp
Very charming place with tons of history! The food, whether it's breakfast or lunch, is absolutely delicious!!!! Plus you get to watch them cook your food! All of the staff is friendly and make you feel at home......my favorite place in Globe!

Tammy L.

Yelp
I found this gem on accident while on vacation from Canada. The service was beyond expectation and the biscuits and gravy were phenomenal. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Phil S.

Yelp
If you like butter it's here! The breakfast burros are dripping with butter! Need an apron or use a fork! Service is really good for the regulars, okay for newbies, the tables are very close and not very many seats so not great for a group. It is really old style Mexican atmosphere, lots of Spanish. I loved their chorizo, now just have a burger generally.

Yelp
First time trying La Luz Del Dia, in globe arizona. Very good breakfast, clean inside, excellent staff. Had huevos rancheros, a different take on them than i had ever tried, great taste. Wife had simple egg, toast, and sausage, all a hit. Try them out next time in beautiful Globe.

Yelp
Friendly people and good food! Perfect breakfast/lunch diner in historic downtown globe

Yelp
They Closed Early and The staff was polite and apologetic for the inconvenience and telling me to have a good day, except one lady that was locking the door was very rude when i was trying to come in and she locked the the door then was very rude when me and this other guy where trying to leave she was rude opening the door and didn't even say bye or anything basically she was like get the hell out and why the hell are you coming in, and with the closing for good you'd expect they would like to get any business they could and that lady would think not to be rude to someone trying to give her business and it just takes one person being rude to ruin a business and I probably won't try going there for the rest of their time and If anyone ask me about it I won't recommend it because of that lady.

Monique P.

Yelp
If your looking for really good tasting home cooked meal like your Mexican grandma made as a child this is the place to go! Great breakfast burros i recommend the most!

Yelp
Are you looking for a great breakfast place? A nice family owned restaurant other than the fast food chains you see off of the US-60? Well look no further than this place here, La Luz Del Dia! They're a hidden little hole in the wall restaurant. They serve some of the best breakfast platters in the area. I always get the Huevos Ranchero w/ 2 eggs and a tortilla. If your not a big eater like me, they also serve a small order with only 1 egg. My wife usually gets this. But the other items on the menu are just as great I've heard! The only problem is that seating is limited. If you arrive when it's busy, you might have to wait for a table or booth to open up. Or you could sit at the diner table on the stools and watch your food get cooked right in front of you! Pretty cool! The service makes up for the limited seating though because they are very quick and nice! I enjoy coming here every chance I get! So if you are looking for a great new spot and want to have great breakfast, get on down to this place! You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
I can't really say how good this place is. Ya see, my buddy and I aren't locals. We went in and were seated and were asked what we wanted to drink. The server then ignored us for 20 minutes while she tended to others that came in after us, tended to others already seated, and we never got our water even. She never took our orders. I really try to support local businesses when I travel but here I wasn't welcome. Unless you're a local, my bet is you won't be welcome either.

Yelp
A very no frills, affordable diner. You get what you pay for but hey...it's cheap. I had the BLT w/ salad and chili. My salad was what was inside my BLT. Shredded lettuce and 2 slices of tomatoes. My chili was pretty room temp.

Yelp
been coming to the restaurant since i was 14 (46 now) best breakfast burros (they are called burros because burritos mean little burros which are not on the menu here...the burros are HUGE) chili is awesome! I am so glad my grandparents introduced me to this place all those years ago. A must visit place if you like old school cafes with great food. Cant say enough good things about La Luz del Dia Bakery

Yelp
My husband and I were taking a little BabyMoon with a road trip through Arizona when we happened to find ourselves in the little town of Globe. The town is small but pretty charming with several antique shops and a thrift shop that supports a dog rescue. So, I was craving Mexican food and this place hit the mark! We each had what was basically a Breakfast Burrito from a list of choices of flavorful combinations so we got to share. Everything was delicious and homemade in this unassuming diner run by a local family. The salsa is fresh and I wish I could've tried more good! We even tried some of their baked goods. The baker is a 90-year-old man and had brought in some cookies. They were just ever so tasty. Plus, the servers are all very welcoming and helpful.

Yelp
Adorable diner in downtown Globe with great Mexican and American classics I love the breakfast burritos enchilada style with beans on the side. They have good cookies too

Rene S.

Yelp
La Luz has always been my go to spot for breakfast in Globe! The chorizo is my favorite! In a burro, in a plate, mixed with eggs or with potatoes and a side of beans!!
google avatar

Nr S.

Yelp
Huevos Rancheros were very tasty! Eggs were cooked to perfection and next time I'll get the small portion. Great family restaurant!

Yelp
La Luz is a local favorite and one of two places I'll eat breakfast that isn't fast food on weekdays. The selection of breakfast burros are amazing, and if you want a cheeseburger for breakfast it's all good as well as choice of white or red menudo. What's not to love

Michael S.

Yelp
I love this place I've been coming here ever since I was a kid. The poncho Burrito with green chili cheese and bacon Is my favoriteAnd the Cheese burgers are Awesome

Yelp
I wish I can do 10 STARS! ABSOLUTELY BEST BREAKFAST EVER!!! I can walk into this place and they know my order! French toast and a buttered tortilla. They have the homiest food. I recommend this place to any and everyone. SOOOO amazing! I love the owner and her daughter. Thank you guys for all the great food!

Yelp
Old school, simple, made to order. Delicious bacon!!! Gluten free was easy here because everything is made fresh!

Yelp
Excellent hidden cafe. Locals love the burgers and enchies. I had an oversize breakfast burro. There were four ladies working this small restaurant and doing well. Great prices with excellent service. If your in Globe, this place is one of a few worthwhile places to visit. Fresh baked items too. I had a cinnamon bun.

Keith S.

Yelp
I had the bacon, egg, cheese and potato burro and it was the best I have had anywhere. Planned to eat 2 as a meal but wound up saving the second for the next day. Price for the amount of food was good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I will return during my next visit to Globe.

Yelp
Great food and atmosphere. Like stepping back in time. Homemade food, everyone knows everyone else, laughter, superb service and modest prices. You can not go wrong eating here! If Cheers was a restaurant, this would be it.

Yelp
How did I end up here? I don't know, but thank goodness! This is the local hang out, the place where the police officer stops, where you can get pan dulce, delicious burros, and eggs. Don't be shy, the woman on the grill is dousing that thing in butter! This place is a perfect greasy spoon, where you can sit at the bar and watch breakfast be made, read the (complimentary, but single copy) paper, and listen to the locals mouth off. Great breakfast burritos, great local flavor.

Yelp
A quaint little town with a lot of there restaurant seating maxing out at 15 people. This restaurant had four ladies running the restaurant, but foreign to them are hairnets. Most people say it's not needed, but only when you have food in your friends does it really hit home on how important it is not to eat someone's hair off their hear, which was at their home, laying on their bed...you get the jist. The burger was good, but the whole experience tanked when there was hair in my food.

Troy T.

Yelp
This lil spot is a must for made to order home cooking. Stopped for breakfast. the service is excellent, the place is clean and the small town is adorable

Yelp
This is THE local Breakfast / Lunch hole in the wall. The baked goods are good and if you like greasy spoon style breakfasts that are hearty and taste good this is your place. If you are looking for health food keep looking.... Breakfast burro's (that is what the locals call them not burrito's) are FANTASTIC and made to order. My kids love to go and have breakfast and watch it being cooked. If you are looking for an older style diner type breakfast or lunch this is your place.

John V.

Yelp
Nice little diner and Bakery. Standard with lots of breakfast burritos to choose from we had standard breakfast. Service is Pleasan and, breakfast good also. Thanks ladies!

Yelp
La Luz is a great place to eat! The restaurant it self is small so be sure to come early or during "odd" hours because it can be hard to find a seat. The food is cooked to order so it can take a little bit to get to you. It even says this on the menu. This in no way should make you want to go someplace else. When the food does come it's fresh off the stove and in HUGE portions. They do have a "small" meal if you don't want too much food. They serve burros, or burritos if that's what you call them. They also have great hamburgers and sandwiches.

L B.

Yelp
Best breakfast burro in AZ. Had the Tony made fresh right in front of you. No secrets there just good home cooked food.

So glad we stumbled on this little café in downtown Globe! Everything is made from scratch and with love :) Definitely go!

Robert C.

Yelp
I'm a local. Excellent homemade food for breakfast or lunch. Not open for dinner. Great service. Small hidden cafe with few tables. I come here often.

Victor L.

Yelp
Great food, grab a few breakfast burrito's before heading out fishing or hunting.
