A simply perfect place to celebrate the marriage of our daughter and her new husband. I cannot fault the service we were given from the moment we arrived. The food was delicious and in abundance, the staff extremely attentive, and the atmosphere delightful! The courtyard garden provided us a private intimate space to party the afternoon/evening away! A massive thank you to everyone for making this happen! xxx

Popped in for a spot of brunch. Recommend scrambled eggs on sourdough bread (£7, 3 large eggs) - it was filling, perfectly cooked, delicious. Very pleasant welcome, good coffee and tea. Tasty lunchtime specials too. Recommend reserving a table at lunch time as many were reserve for later. They will squeeze you in but ask that you do make the table available for the reservation time.

This place is Hereford's best. Everyone must go. The staff are friendly, professional, efficient and smiley. The food is clearly prepared by a team who know what they're doing- it's well seasoned, fresh and bang on french trend! The atmosphere is quaint with a beautiful garden and the back so you've got a lovely choice of tables. I'll say it until ok blue on the face, you won't get better in Hereford.

Me and my wife came in Saturday for brunch. We didn't book so we got lucky when there was a table for 2 inside as all other tables were taken or reserved. Service was very good and food and drink came just as quick. We both had French toast and for me personally would have been nice to have some berries with it and not just bacon and maple syrup. It was delicious but for the portion size the £11 we paid I would say was a bit expensive.

We had a good experience here. Some simple and delicious food from a simple menu with good service and in a nice small garden protected by a canopy while it showered around us. Good place.

I enjoyed the bacon sandwhich, and mocha for breakfast. They have a lovely courtyard out back. I would definitely sit out there. We didn't realize there was outdoor seating!

Yelp
Came in for pastries and coffee with a friend when I was visiting Hereford. It is the most quaint little brunch location. The food and coffee were both great and it was so fun to sit and visit in this cute shop. If you're ever in Hereford or just passing through. This is a great place to visit. Staff was also really great and helpful assisting two Americans.

Yelp
Hidden up a discrete alley way just off the main square in Hereford is a little restaurant called La Madeleine. Surrounded by boutique shops, other cafes and a great looking cheese shop, it's out of the way and easy to miss. It might, however, be the best place in the whole town to get brunch. After walking around Hereford for half an hour on a Saturday morning (it's a small place), we'd given up on finding somewhere decent to get breakfast. It was only by chance that we decided to take a shortcut back to the car that we ventured up one of the small alley ways off the square towards the cathedral that we found La Madeleine. The main room is small and is overlooked by the small kitchen at the back. Filled with a mix match of wooden chairs and tables, the dining room is comfortable and would be great place to meet up for breakfast or take a breather from shopping. The real draw is the small garden at the back. Secluded and lush, it's a brilliant hidden oasis in the middle of the town, and a perfect place to sit out. We both ordered eggs Benedict which was very good. Served with bacon as opposed to ham, and a slightly unusual, buttery hollandaise, it really hit the spot. Two eggs Benedict and two strong coffees came in under twenty quid. La Madeleine is open Monday through Saturday for breakfast and lunch, and is licensed. It loses a star only for not being open on Sunday when we wanted to come back with the rest of the family.
