La Maison Bord'eaux Hotel

We stayed in room 003, and unfortunately the experience with this particular room was not very comfortable. The entrance is directly from the inner courtyard, so when you open the door you immediately face the bed. This arrangement leaves no privacy and forces you to keep the heavy curtains closed at all times, which means there is no natural daylight inside. Breakfast is served in the courtyard on sunny days, which also means people may be sitting right in front of the windows — again, not ideal. The biggest issue for us, however, was the bathroom. There was a very strong and unpleasant odor that could be noticed even in the bedroom with the door closed. The bathroom was also designed for people with reduced mobility, which wasn’t very convenient for us. We didn’t request to change rooms, since we had already unpacked and didn’t want to move everything again. The only real advantage of this room is the spacious walk-in closet. Upon checkout, the receptionist kindly asked about our stay, and when I explained the bathroom issue, she mentioned that if we had told her earlier, she would have tried to resolve it right away. As an apology, she generously offered us one day of free parking, which we truly appreciated. Overall, the service was attentive, but if you are assigned room 003, I would recommend asking for a different one

Absolument parfait! Isabelle explained everything clearly and patiently. Gave us a full « tourist » itinerary too. Room, breakfast and parking perfect! First time in Bordeaux : so much to see and experience. We will be back! A bientôt !

This hotel could be excellent, but there were too many issues.||||The negatives first...||- Shower door didn't close properly and had a gap at the bottom, meaning the bathroom floor was flooded and the shower mat was always sodden.||- What appeared to be excrement on the toilet wall.||- One of the towels had a nasty stain on it.||- One of the cups had something crusty on it. It was replaced on the second day, but this still had something encrusted on it.||- Safe deposit box didn't work. Apparently this was known and is on a list of maintenance work.||- One of the bedside lights didn't work.||- Breakfast was not a nice experience. We tried it once and were refunded. Apparently there is hot food, but there is no menu, you aren't told about it and have to ask.||||The good news...||- The staff were excellent and keen to help.||- The hotel was full on our first night, but we were offered an alternative room from the second night.||- Parking is close by and secure.||- The hotel location is very good for the city centre.||- The rooms were quiet and the bed comfy.||||||It felt like the hotel is being run an absolute shoestring, to the detriment of the customer experience.||Despite our experience, we would stay again because of the location, parking and the excellent staff.||

This hotel is wonderful.|We were wonderfully greeted by Isabelle and checked in promptly. We were given recommendations for local eateries and a map with the offer to secure a reservation if required. Although early, our room was ready and she escorted us to our room and talked us through the facilities. |The room was large, exceptionally clean and well equipped. The Aircon managed the 38C heatwave superbly.|We were in room 1 on the ground floor facing the street. It was very quiet.|The courtyard is sublime, the perfect place to relax with a drink. |The prices for beer and wine were very reasonable. |Breakfast was excellent with my husband delighted to be offered an unexpected bacon and eggs|All of the staff make you feel like nothing is too much trouble. |Good location, walkable to Bordeaux centre. The nearby park is beautiful. |Carrefour a few minutes away.|Can't recommend highly enough.

Lovely hotel. Well located for visiting the city centre sights. Easily walkable to city centre where there are plenty of fabulous restaurants. If needed, there is a good affordable transport system convenient to hotel and extends throughout the city. Staff always available, helpful and friendly. Whilst no physical bar available, alcoholic beverages are available via reception staff.

We had 3 wonderful evenings here at La Maison. The staff was so warm & welcoming here, and very helpful during our stay with great restaurant suggestions. Our room was comfortable, clean & efficiently laid out. Breakfast was outstanding w/ many delicious choices to start your day, coffee & croissants were just fantastic. The interior courtyard is a pleasant & relaxing place to sit w/ a glass of Bordeaux wine after sightseeing all day. We would return here as we felt this was a very nice spot & a good value during our travels. Merci, La Maison!

The hotel was excellent -the rooms were clean and quiet and the breakfast was excellent. All the staff were friendly and very helpful especially Isabella who checked me in and gave lots of good recommendations. The Bordeaux City Pass wes useful to get free access to museums and free travel on the extensive public transport network

First the positives, good location not too far to walk into the centre and also 5 mins from the tram. Car parking ( need to book) is also a bonus. Room and bathroom clean and decent size.|That said it is quite expensive (even for Bord’eaux in summer), breakfast is average at best given the add on cost eg running out of cereal, yoghurt.

Lovely boutique hotel, close and a short walk to the city center. The hotel is located on a side street. It is quiet and gets AAAA+ rating for cleanliness. Our room was big with a very comfortable king size bed and the bathroom had nice amenities. The heated towel rack and fabulous rain shower made the bathroom luxurious, as did all of the Villeroy & Boch accessories. Staff was very helpful with restaurants, directions and even booked us on a wine tour. I highly recommend this hotel when in Bordeaux.

Beautiful, modern, and quaint lodging. The room and bathroom was spacious. The staff was very accommodating and even went to the bakery to buy us fresh croissants for our breakfast. Highly recommend!
