We visited as a family of five, and got two best room in the place. The property is beautifully decorated and in a great location for "medieval feel." We loved the combination of antique wood floors and 21st century plumbing and Wifi! We felt very comfortable and safe having our two teenage boys share a room down the hall from the suite we had (with our teenage daughter).||||The hostess was very knowledgeable and friendly. She did the best she could to make our arrival pleasant, even though we showed up at the peak of the July "canicule" (105 F, It cooled off later!) The breakfast featured the best bread we had in France.||||On top of all that, the price was a great value.

Travelling across France on business and have stayed in many different types of accommodation but this is my favourite. Stayed 4 nights. Beautifully styled, elegant and quirky all at the same time. Felt immediately at home in La Chambru des Roys. Jerome is a lovely host. Woken each morning to the sound of the baker delivering fresh croissants - how much more French can it be! Highly recommend this place for a long or short stay.

We have already been twice in this charming hotel and will keep returning when in Laon. The rooms are big and decorated with passion for the details. Great taste and originality. Quiet and isolated even if in the town centre. A great feeling of come chez ski. Personnel very helpful and nice. Nice breakfast room and good traditional french breakfast.

Enjoyed staying here, very handy for the sights uphill Laon, near good restaurants and bars too. Spacious room and very friendly welcome. Copious French buffet breakfast.||Clean and just the right side of quirky decor. Very nice.||||Downsides - cool room , fine for sleeping, but not for sitting in. And for breakfast, dining atrium also cold. It's February! the old radiators are aesthetically pleasing but not efficient enough. ||Pretty bathroom, and the sink in the bedroom nice too - however - no light over the sink or near any mirror - so for shaving, makeup really difficult. Mirror over sink points downwards so my husband couldn't see self in it. No plug in sink- sigh.||2 coathangers ok for one night but if staying longer would prefer not to live out of suitcase as nowhere to put clothes, so could do with a bit of storage, drawers even, .||Overall lighting nice for ambiance but dim for reading.||Classed as B&B as limited reception to 2 hours late afternoon, would have been nice to arrive earlier in the winter, so put service as "average", as great when she was there, really nice and helpful, but only there a little bit, and at breakfast.

We stayed for just one night in our way down to the South of France, and were given two apartments down the road from the main guesthouse. The building is a typical old French townhouse, divided into self contained apartments with kitchen and living areas. Both very comfortable and spacious and tastefully decorated in a minimalist French style. Lovely.

This is an old house in the old town. It is located in a narrow one-way street. It is possible to park outside but if you arrive before 5.00pm it is difficult to find a space. We had not read the small print on the website and turned up early to find that we could not get access - unless you make special arrangements you will not get in before 5.00pm. Jérome was very welcoming and when he learnt that we had reserved a table at Zorn - in the new lower town - rang to arrange for us to be picked up by the restaurant and then brought back to the 3 Rois after dinner. Our room was large, light and airy with a very comfortable bed but otherwise very simply furnished. The bathroom was simple but adequate with a shower attachment over the bath. Wi-Fi was included in the price but a little erratic. Breakfast was straightforward and fine.

Though perhaps not the most practical, these spacious, characterful and good-value rooms and suites look like something out of Elle Decoration and have everything you need (copious hot water, they're clean and the beds are very comfortable). Great position for restaurants and the sights of Laon.

Very excellent guest house with really nice room (les troix rois) and with a very passionate owner. We stayed only for 24 hours, but we enjoyed the room with two cheminés and an ancient wood parquet. The owner gave us nice advise for our visit and dinner.
