Been there for 1 night. Beautiful location in the centre of town very close to the marketplace. Easy carpark around church some 50m away. Very nice room with modern En-Suite on second floor. Small balcony to the inside of the building. Minibar. When you enter the lobby you feel the charme and the history of the place in all details and you feel "home". Room was small but very clean. Breakfast for the two of us in a sunroom with lot of caracter. Fresh bread, good coffee, fruits, cheese, any fresh juice and honey/jam whatever you desire. The host and staff was very welcoming and friendly.

The most beautiful hotel in France right in the centre of Mirepoix. The rooms are beautiful in an historic building. Aircon, beautifully appointed. Bernard has owned the hotel for 30 years and it is a labour of love. Highly recommend

This hotel punches way above its weight. For the price you get good plumbing, cozy bathrobes, great bedding, coffee machines, a tasty reasonably priced breakfast in the courtyard while staying in artistically decorated rooms on the historic main square.

Perfect location, lovely interior, but burned coffee and a cappuccino that was more fluffy burned milk than anything else. With the right barista and decent coffee a lovely place for a breakkie !

This place is just gorgeous. I was expecting the usual kind of (excellent) French guesthouse, but the furnishings and luxury here are a big step up. Rooms have a kettle, fridge, lovely bed and linen and really nice furniture and small touches. There's a beautiful lounge on the first floor. En suite has top quality towels and very nice local soap. Roxanne the receptionist/manager/waitress is incredibly friendly and charming. |The location couldn't be better - looking right out on the stunning square in Mirepoix facing the cathedral. (lots of bells and mass at 830). |Although that means rooms are over the tables in the square, the shutters mean the rooms are still pretty quiet. |There's a garage for parking car or bikes a block away (but that's normal in Mirepoix as there is no parking in the centre). |There are lots of stairs and I didn't see a lift so just check about that if you have mobility issues. |Really top class. Can't recommend highly enough.

Right up front it’s a bit hard to find as it’s in the middle of the square a bit further up and opposite side from tourist office. Find a place to park by the church and then go to the hotel. The front desk lady I first came in contact with spoke very little English. She went to find the owner, Bernard who turned out to a be wonderful help! He walked us to the garage and helped bring our luggage back. No elevator of course. Our room was fantastic with excellent air conditioning and antique furnishings. The view of the church and the square were lovely. We came to Mirepoix to go to the famous Monday market. Woke up that morning to see the square etc transformed and we didn’t even hear what must have been hours of set up time for the 100 or more stalls. Very quiet. Nice breakfast. A definite place to stay if you’re lucky enough to be in Mirepoix.

La Maison des Consuls is in itself a destination! I've traveled the world and this is the most exquisite accommodation I've experienced yet. Centrally located in the heart of Mirepoix, the hotel is at walking distance from all the restaurants, historical points of interest and modern conveniences. The hotel itself is a major piece of the XXII century of Mirepoix. Rooms are beyond expectations in terms of extreme luxury, architectural beauty and sophistication. No wonder it is in the worldwide Michelin guide. We loved our breakfast in the courtyard, a must have. Freshly squeezed and or pressed orange, apple and pear juices were out of this world. We were served bountiful baskets of French pastries, organic yogurts and fruits. The staff is eager to help with luggage and anything your heart desires. The "piece de resistance" is Bernard, the owner who engineered and designed the entire hotel. His brain child "La Maison des Consuls" feels like a love story worth living in Mirepoix when visiting Mirepoix.

Superb historic and atmospheric hotel in the centre of Mirepoix. Many thanks to the proprietor Bernard and his staff for being so welcoming and helpful. Great continental breakfast and hotel is situated right in the centre of the historic town of Mirepoix. The weekly market in Mirepox is not to be missed.
