This is a lovely b&b managed by its attentive and friendly owner, Bastien. Booking was easy and arrival information was impeccable. At its price point the accommodation is excellent. Very nice breakfast and comfortable room. There are a few things to note. There is no dedicated parking, but this appears to be an issue with a lot of Lille hotels and b&bs. This wasn’t an issue for us as we arrived by Eurostar. The b&b is an easy flat 20 minute walk from Lille Europe and Lillle Flandres station. The street in which it is located isn’t the smartest but it is well placed for getting around the city and foot by metro. There is no lift. Some may find the pillows a little uncomfortable. There is no fridge in the room but Bastien kindly allowed us to store items in his.

We really enjoyed our stay. Bastien is a great host - couldn’t have been more helpful. Room one 1 was perfect with a large comfortable sitting room. Delicious breakfasts and well located near the centre. Good restaurants nearby and close to shopping streets.

Stayed with my partner for two nights - the room was stunning, the facilities all work perfectly and the spa is well worth a visit. Extremely reasonable price for what you get. Bastien was incredibly accommodating and friendly and makes a great breakfast - silver service. Chapeau.

We stayed at this gorgeous hotel for two nights. We stayed in the suite which was massive. A living room, dressing room, bedroom and shower room. Although this hotel is very small, Bastien has thought of every detail to make it feel luxurious. The decor is beautiful and in keeping with the style of the building, the bed and couches are comfortable, and it is spotlessly clean (I dropped something and had to go under the bed to retrieve it - so clean!). Bastien does everything to make your stay special. We had breakfast served to our room at the time of our choosing and it was a lovely breakfast. The spa was also a lovely treat. I can’t imagine you can find a nicer place to stay in Lille.

This was a perfect hotel experience as if the owner read your mind and anticipated all of your needs and desires. In every respect, the beautiful house (thanks to the owner) is in good taste, welcoming, quiet, comfortable, and reasonably priced. It is a tiny bit removed from the Centre Ville, a good thing, a stone’s throw away from the Beaux Arts Musee and a delicious restaurant across the street from the house. It’s elegant and just lovely.

Wonderful place, super cozy, extremely clear and on top very delicious breakfast. The location is very good closer to all main sightseeing of Lille. Bastien was taking care of everything from the beginning to the end of my stay in his lovely B&B. I super recommend this amazing guest house!!

Our daughters had given us Eurostar vouchers as a present and, with it also being my 60th birthday celebrations, we decided to take a weekend break in Lille. On the strength of Trip Adviser reviews, we booked La Maison du Champlain for two nights - and what a great decision that was! |Absolutely nothing was too much trouble for Sébastien, our host. We were able to access our suite early which was greatly appreciated as we had been up since the crack of dawn on the Saturday! The rooms were stunning - a gorgeous lounge area, beautifully decorated bedroom and modern bathroom, all with fantastic little touches, like sweets and bottles of water by the bed, a fridge, bathrobes, loads of towels and nice smelling toiletries. |Sébastien was so helpful with advising us on what to see and do whilst in Lille, including advice on the transport and places to eat. We had already planned to visit La Piscine Musee on the Sunday but he suggested we also go to La Villa Cavrois. We are so glad we did! It was stunning and we were lucky to visit on a beautiful autumnal day. Just perfect. |Breakfast at La Maison du Champlain was first rate - and Sébastien very kindly sourced gluten free bread and cakes for us as both my husband and I follow a gluten free diet. This was hugely appreciated. |All in all, our stay was outstanding in every way. Lille is a very friendly, interesting city but what made our weekend so memorable was the B and B accommodation. We would love to return one day!

We chose a room with a separate sitting room which was generous in size. The rain shower was great and the bed was super comfortable. Location wise, we were anywhere between 10-25 mins walking distance from a number of sights to see. Breakfast was fresh and we had a choice of having it downstairs or in the room. ||Bastian was so accommodating with the right balance of hosting and allowing space. Don’t hesitate, just book this place. We absolutely loved our stay and would return in future without question.
