We’ve bought some chocolates there. The selling guy was not particularly friendly and we didn’t see that the chocolate was already expired in April 2023. See photos, we bought it in December 2023. Actually I have found a bit strange that he gave the box direct from the shelves where all the boxes were put together like decorations. And all together the chocolate doesn’t taste so good at all. Sorry.

The most expensive chocolate of my life. This case show me the marketing strategy to create value added by appearance, packaging, location, sound and tasting. After shopping, I just realized, I spent near 70 Euro or 2,500 Thai baths. Shop 5/5 Taste 5/5 Service 5/5 Clean 5/5 Value 4/5

Yum! Started my day with an eclair and cup of espresso. Very nice staff. Perfect sweet breakfast on the run.

The lady sellers were very nice and friendly. Our daughters were very happy on Children's Day to receive chocolate and pistachio covered macarons. The macarons were clearly fresh and tasted delicious. Clearly better than the other shops at Lafayette Gourmet for instance.

I received a gift for my son an easter egg shaped chocolate structure from la maison du chocolat . It came in a box to display . The size is medium which is ideal for a three year old to enjoy . Taste is delicious not too sweet to have and it gets break easily to eat it in small bites . The package is lovely and very practical to see through. Recommended for a gift to give away .

Worth every penny. Possibly the easiest five stars I’ve ever given. The staff were wonderful with our children and this was possibly the nicest hot chocolate we’ve ever had. It seems expensive when you walk in but the price is justified. If I’d have stayed to try everything I wanted to I might not have fit back through the door to leave! We’ll definitely be back and more than happy to recommend.

Yelp
Staff is attentive, patient and helpful. I particularly enjoy selecting the assortments of different flavors of dark chocolates while getting some truffles for family.

Yelp
Just as you enter they are friendly and helpful. The feeling is like you are at a jewelry store of chocolate. Is a dream for chocolate lovers. We bought some chocolates and macaroons. They tasted great and we got a little booklet to know the difference of each flavor we got, it was a great help to know what we were having. As you purchasing and paying you wonder where did my stuff go,but they walk you out the door and hand you your fancy chocolate bag with your purchase. Awesome experience, great staff, friendly and affordable. Thank you.

Yelp
If you worship at the church of chocolate, this is your cathedral. It's not just a chocolate shop, it's an experience. From the display, to the packaging, to the product itself, five stars, with a price to match. NB 1: If you exhibit appropriately deferential behavior, you may be offered a sample. NB 2: Taking photos inside is "interdit."

Yelp
This place has a reputation and it definitely lives up to it... They have a location in NYC that I'd been to and while I was in Paris, I knew I had to stop by this one as well. They definitely have excellent chocolates. This time I tried a few of the truffles, which were fantastic and then also tried their macarons, which were pretty incredible - a very thin crisp outer-later and a fudgy, chewy middle section with decadent dark chocolate...I definitely recommend it!

Yelp
This is a great place for French chocolate. Their eclairs are amazing. It's pretty much your stereotypical French chocolaterie. You pick out which kind of chocolate you want and they carefully wrap it together in a box. You pretty much pay for that kind of showmanship since each chocolate is like at least a euro each. Sometimes they will give you a sample while you're waiting since there is typically a long line, especially around the holidays.

Yelp
I love this Brand Discovered it in London It's pretty awful they don't tell you what you are getting but I usually love all the flavors I just purchased about 80 Euro of chocolate for me and my parents I have a shop here in NYC to visit I may get my sons favors from La Maison Du Chocolat for my sons communion party I'll check out pricing

Yelp
there are chocolates. and there are chocolates. but only ONE counts in my book. and before you dismiss me as a snob, try the "coffret maison" - initiation box featuring an assortment of pralines and ganache. i have done tastings of chocolatiers while IIving in the EU. have bought for presents and received some too. am not an expert, as such, but i do know this is the only "candy" i would ever use the word sublime for.

Yelp
Visited this store in February during my first visit to Paris, a friend recommended that I got to taste their chocolate Great Features 1) Really really good chocolate truffles -- the LV of chocolates :)!!! 2) The arrangement of the chocolate inside the store is so beautiful, a work of art almost going to a chocolate museum 3) The chocolate boxes are very nice & even the bag where they put your purchase is made from high quality paper "Not so" Great features 1) It cost a lot .. Got a box of 6 small pieces of chocolates for €14 ( the size of the box is smaller than an Iphone) , i had to buy it because my sister is a chocoholic and all she wanted from Paris is great quality chocolates 2) Staff are not friendly ( they said that this is very typical customer service in this side of the world , i guess just used to the customer service here in the US) 3) Taking pictures not allowed They have 3 stores in New York City . That's good to know, I will be saving a lot of money in airfare and hopefully get to buy more truffles :)

Yelp
OMG this is the chocolat to die for...even thou my French friends say it's crap. With exchange rate, it turned out I actually paid more in Paris than NYC for the same item, which I'm kicking myself. I'm 20 minutes away from the store here in NY yet I decided to stop by here to pick up some gifts for customers. Funny thing was as soon as I enter, this Japanese lady came up to me and talked to me in Japanese, she said they have many many many Japanese tourists come in so they hired her to accomodate "Language barrier". Nice biz model. Okay, so the selection of choices are very much the same as one in NYC or CDG airport location, except they had this new box with fruty taste which were flying out of shelf, thanks to Japanese tourists once again. I tried a piece, didn't thing it was that good, so I went with traditional (boring) dark chocolate collection. Oh, and last note, they had ice cream stand outside, and dark chocolate ice cream was out of this world. But I didn't like the fact that they had bunch of empty seats but that was for "paying customers" (take out doesn't count). Considering the price they charge, they need to offer something better.

Yelp
The WORLDS BEST macaroon!! They offer premium unbelievably yummy tasting chocolate and macaroons

Yelp
A gorgeous little shop, crammed with chocolates, sweets and their truly scrumptious macarons, which are not to be confused with the English version. Think 'Marie Antoinette' instead. It is hard to show restraint when faced with so much sweet temptation but the prices should keep you in check! A really good place to stock up on presents for people at home as the chocolate is just delectable.

Yelp
Try the hot chocolate !!!! Attention....it is a real one.....drink just one....the cacao still got its power. The best you can find in paris after -La charlotte- ile st. louis has been sold

Yelp
A plays a favorite of ours. Friendly service and yummy chocolates. Have tried goodies from their London and NYC stores as well. Consistently fabulous.

Ava M.

Yelp
Had to get a couple boxes as gifts. Decent selection of chocolates. They do offer a temperature controlled bag but they charge for it. I tried a sample of their chocolate and it didn't really 'wow' me. Hoping the chocolates we selected will hit the mark though

Nik S.

Yelp
Look for the smaller more local chocolate shops in Paris. This spot is trendy and over hyped ! Also rude Parisian was working the counter . Will definitely not return . Will give them a two star as the chocolate was good but I think they should be using higher quality cocoa beans for the price you're paying for these.

Soly Z.

Yelp
This place is the epitome of hoity toity French pretention with delicious chocolaty goodness. I wish I brought more home with me. Don't worry if you don't make it to the Madeline location - they have locations EVERYWHERE, including the CDG airport.

Alex D.

Yelp
A Paris establishment, no trip to Antenna City would be complete without some $90/lb LMdC. There are a couple of shops in NYC as well, and alas...LA ain't sophisticated enough for a location here. Someday.

Laura Z.

Yelp
The chocolate tasted good , but for the expensive price tag I prefer Hershey bars instead. It was clean inside, however the staff does not give you time to look around, they expect you to order immediately and it's creepy.
