I keep coming back to La Maison du Colombier for one simple reason: it brings together everything I love about Burgundy in one place. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Beaune, and the moment you step inside the charm takes over. Old stone walls, wooden beams, a touch of history in every corner. Cozy in a way that feels both local and effortless. The wine list is a small universe of its own. Deep, focused, filled with bottles that are hard to find elsewhere and offered at genuinely great prices. The food follows the same philosophy. Simple, honest dishes that pair naturally with the wines. Rustic enough to feel authentic, thoughtful enough to feel refined. I also appreciate the people who work here. Warm, welcoming, easy to talk to. A team that clearly enjoys what they do, and that spirit shapes the entire atmosphere. And one detail that deserves an extra thank you: they are open on Mondays. In Beaune that is a real gift. When half the town goes quiet, this place becomes a little refuge. If you want great wine, comforting food, a beautiful setting and the feeling that you’re exactly where you should be, this is the spot. I absolutely love it here.

La Maison du Colombier is the best choice if you’re planning to stay in Beaune. We visited several vineyards in the Burgundy area and stayed here for two nights, and it was absolutely the right decision. The room has been beautifully renovated while still retaining its old-world charm. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is clean and well stocked with quality amenities, and there’s a small kitchen along with a cozy area for relaxing and dining. We really loved our stay here.

We stayed in the 3rd floor loft. Cosy and modern but with old features. This 15th century building was amazing. The stairs are crazy but super tight and skinny. We didn't think would get our case up there, then a guy from the restaurant helped. Could be an issue for a lot of people but the history and charm made it worth it for us. Almost the single most photographed building in Beaune. Awesome and best location. Check photos

We had dinner on the ground floor. We were seated inside as all the tables outside were filled. Wine list was huge 😵‍💫 but was helped by one of the waiters. Amazing. The we enjoyed the charcuterie and open sandwiches. We had some items on the a la carte. They had a peach, fig and burrata salad which was the tastiest plate of food I’ve had in a very long time. The staff was the able to move us outside when a table became free. We didn’t even ask! Highly recommend.

Probably the best wine bar in town when it comes to value for money. Paul, the sommelier is kind, friendly and extremely helpful. The food is very good and the wine list has a depth of vintages going back to early 00’s. I loved the eggs 63° as well as the amazing pistachio panna cotta. I would definitely be back on my next trip to Beaune

Google
Best wine list in Beaune and not just because they have my wine! No really it's a gem a secret of the area go there if you love wines you'll never need another place. The food service and people are the best. You can feel how much they love what they do and their customers. Can't wait to go back

Welcoming and efficient service. Meat board was expertly put together and glass pour wines were perfect (Sancerre and Chablis). Reasonable prices all around. The space is exquisite!

Yelp
Five Star Evening! It was a perfect evening in BEAUNE. June 21 was the longest day of the year and a cause for celebration in the city. Streets were shut down to traffic, bands were playing in nearly every square and we had a front row seat at this wine bar/Café. We were seated in the wine cellar, so it was a little cooler as well as a bit quieter than if we had been seated at an outside table. Let's start with a Wine. Their 50+ page wine list is outstanding. They were nine pages, just devoted to champagne and sparkling wine. What's more, our young server was more than qualified to help us with the list and to make recommendations. This was an anniversary celebration, so we began with champagne and charcuterie, and a couple of other starters. Later, we moved on to smaller sized mains that included salmon, chicken, and other delicious selections. Two chefs operating in about 2 m² did an impressive job of putting out food. We were able to linger over outstanding champagne and wines while having a wonderful light meal and a most wonderful evening. What a special celebration in Burgundy.

Yelp
I will begin by addressing the 1 star review of this place. When you are in Europe, things move at a different pace. So, get with the program The service here was excellent. This is a wine bar first and the wine list is like 50 pages long. So, if wine is your jam, this is the spot. Not only that, they seem to educate their wait staff to advise, not upsell. The young woman who served us was probably 22-25 years old and really understood how to explain expectations for each The food. First off, the charcuterie platter was the best I have even tasted. The truffle egg dish was amazing with the most amount of truffles I have ever experienced.

Yelp
Let's begin with the fact that if you order a bottle they serve the wine in Zaltos glasses, which is better treatment than a large number of fancy restaurants which settle for the non red-stem Riedels. Egg dish, 19€ is delicious- two eggs. The wine list is extensive and... they have wines not on the wine list due to super low supply. We saw bottles of empty DRC (DRC, la tache, etc) lying around but not on menu, and it turns out those are rare so only diners who drink 3-4 bottles will be offered off-menu for the later-night drinks. Also, you can request to have a bottle with a question mark cover slipped on top so the other guests can have a blind tasting.

Yelp
WHAT? Why this place is not 5 stars across the board I have no idea. Oh yes, because the bad review didn't actually eat here. I LOVED this place. Small, intimate. The best Chacueterie plate I've ever had - EVER! The bread with Sardines / other toppings (we ordered 3 of them) were FANTASTIC - why order an entree when the starters are that good. Now let's talk about the EGG - perfectly cooked and they were kind enough to make it for my vegetarian husband (no bacon). I enjoyed it with bacon. Best wine list in town!

Yelp
This place is very small inside with most of the sitting outside. Is the core of Beaune. It's more of a place to have a few snacks and drinks (wine). Doesn't offer entrees. Most of the offerings are cured meats. Great wine selection. Service is good but could use some improvements. Highly recommended to go after dinner or for a light dinner.

Yelp
We had a reservation through Bookings.com to stay at an apartment at Maison du Colombier but a code is needed to get in. They didn't tell us the code in advance and no one was there when we arrived. There was a note on the door to call for a code but no one answered when we called. We called and left messages and emailed many times while standing in the rain but never got a reply. It was extremely frustrating. And we never heard back from them - no apology, just silence. We eventually left after Bookings.com found us a room at another hotel. I can't comment on a room we never got into but clearly we won't be trying again. If you want to stay at this place make sure to get a code before you arrive!

Yelp
Waited 20 minutes And finally walked out! They just ignore you in this place, so walk away unless you want to chase down service.
