The best ice cream in Bordeaux. Queues for miles doesn't matter what time you visit proves this! The proof is in the pudding...or ice cream! All the sorbets bar a couple are vegan. The vegan vanilla was glorious! We had the same vegan vanilla cone every single day. Staff friendly and happy :) just what you want when you're ordering your ice cream of the day! Holiday calories don't count remember ....

Ice Cream Reviews

Google
La Maison Du Glacier is with no doubt a very good ice cream shop. Their flavor list is Huge with an uppercase H, and their ice cream is very consistent in texture and taste. But, here again, some cons can in fact be noted: the price is determined by the number of flavors and not the size of the cup, which may not be a problem for regular people but kind of is for true ice cream enthusiasts like myself. Their scoops are very round, so round in fact that they do not fill the cup. For 7 dollars, what you get is two scoops that are four centimeters wide, and that price is kind of undecent for such little portions. Lastly, the flavors that are in their second freezer contain ice crystals, which are not very appreciated. To conclude, the flavor list is great, the ice cream is as well, but. many downsides keep this shop at four stars in my opinion.

This is a local ice-cream specialist located at Place Saint-Pierre. They offer a wide assortment of ice-creams, you can purchase by cone/cup. During a recent visit we tried three flavours. Speculoos was ok, ice-cream was quite soft and airy with lots of lotus like crumbs, perhaps too many. Cafe (coffee) had smoother texture, strong flavour. Best was the pistachio, much thicker, creamier texture as well as a good natural nutty flavour. Would gladly repeat order the pistachio and try other flavours next time around.

An interesting shop that isn't afraid of proposing new flavors. I had orange flower and violet. I appreciated the daring propositions, but both had too much of a strong flavor for me. Textures were interesting and the serving was generous, so I really regret that I didn't try at least one of my usual favorite flavors. If I ever go to Bordeaux again, I will give it a second shot.

Located at a small alley area, this place was lovely to chill at. Staff here are quick and friendly, gelato tasted pretty good too.

Amazing selection of flavours and great customer service. Located right next to a beautiful church (St. Peter’s Church) - highly recommend if in the area. We tried the lavender, rose, beer (IPA), matcha, and black sesame flavours - all were delicious, with the lavender having real flowers inside!

The prices are high, as expected. At €3.50 per scoop, you think carefully about which variety you choose. And the choice doesn't get any easier with this selection. There are probably all (normal) tastes here, and they taste excellent too.

Yelp
This is a wonderful gelato shop in Bordeaux! They offer a lot of flavors, and they are mostly organic. I was very impressed. It was hard to pick two, or tree flavors to try during my visit, because they all looked and sounded so delicious. I ended up choosing Canele, and rum raisin, and I absolutely loved them both. Canele is one of my favorite desserts for a long time, and it originated from Bordeaux, and this shop made a Gelato out of it. It is just amazing! The gelato really tasted like a Canele, even with Canele pieces in it that you can chew on a little. The rum raisin gelato was full or raisins with a genuine rum taste. It was prefect. I was a little sad that I only got to go to this shop once during my visit in Bordeaux, and wished I could go back and try more flavors!
