La Maison du Lagon

Very nice hotel close to beaches, traditional and modern restaurants. Private swimming pool on one end and open on the beach on the other. The rooms are spacious, with AC and mini fridge. The staff is amazing, very friendly, and will direct you to the best spots. Breakfast included with a view of the beach. It was always a great time.

Amazing little gem of hotel with amazing beach just down the back has nice medium sized pool that very quiet and relaxing. Would definitely stay there again.

RIGHT ON THE LAGOON... PERFECT !!! BEAUTIFUL. One of my favourite beaches in the world : Just how you imagine the Indian Ocean to be: Prefect water temperature, clear as can be. Coral is still alive. Fish swimming by your feet . Couple of GOOD bars | restaurants nearby. Lovely STAFF. Breakfast with the perfect view. One of the few beaches in Reunion with NO sharks . Ideal swimming. Not good for surfing. Great for families | couples | solos alike !

We've been to stay at La Maison du Lagon twice now, and we never ever go anywhere twice. The location couldn't be better, you step out of the tropical garden and onto the most beautiful beach. Breakfast is served under a pergola in the garden and is delicious fresh fruit plus bread and croissants. The staff cannot be faulted, Jessica who serves breakfast is super friendly and also very knowledgeable about things to do, Florence the owner also goes out of her way to help you, for example providing beach toys for our children, packing breakfast for us before we left early for the airport. Speaking some French definitely helps. The swimming pool is perfect for children and gets the shade in the afternoon, but swimming in the lagoon is also delightful. The rooms aren't fancy, there aren't free toiletries, but it doesn't advertise itself as a luxury hotel, they are clean and functional and you're there for the location anyway! The shutters also make it completely dark so you can sleep as late as you like! There is a (tiny) kitchen and barbecue facilities if you want to cook, but you're near enough to lots of great restaurants too. It can be a bit of a battle for parking, there are only 4 spaces and you definitely need bug spray. All in all a really great place to stay, we might even go again!

We visited the villa with our family of 10 people for a 2 night stay. While the location of the villa/ farmstay was amazing, the experience and stay was way below expectations. ||inspite of our check in time being 2pm, we checked in at 330pm and the villa wasnt ready. We entered the villa and it was filled with 1000s of flies (we had informed the villa that we had two 5 month old babies accompanying us). They promised us the pool by 530pm due to some maintenance work. But the pool also wasnt ready before the next morning||Although we had given our menu for the two days a week in advance, there were no preparations made for either of the days. Food arrived an hour after the time that we gave them. ||The first day there was no milk to make tea as well. It took them one hour in the evening to make a simple cup of tea. Very very disappointing||The second day there were lesser flies but the pool was not completely clean yet, we got breakfast and dinner an hour late. ||The worst part of our trip was on the second night when the master bedroom had thousands of insects crawling in the room. We vacated the room immediately as it was impossible to sleep there. ||With the experience we had, i would not recommend anyone to go to this farmstay which is considered ‘luxury’.

I have stayed at Maison du Lagon during the last Christmas holidays.||The room was quite basic, but definitely clean, well mantained and comfortable, with fridge, tv and air conditioning. Even if it was surrounded by plants and trees, the room was free of insects. The only trouble was represented by the noise of the fridge.||The location of the hotel is superb, with a relaxing garden facing the tropical beach, where a good breakfast is served.||There is a small swimming pool, too, more appealing for the kids than for the grown-ups.||The staff has always been kind and available to serve breakfast even out of the service hours.||I had a small issue with the wi-fi connection but it had been solved promptly.

Charming and peacefull place, in front of an amazing lagoon (scuba is a must!). The rooms are great, little common kitchen if you want to cook, nice garden, magic beach, some restaurants in a walking reach. Ideal base point for discovering the surrounding.

Beautiful place just near to the beach, friendly staf. They have a pool, too. Nice modern rooms.
