What a gem! I stumbled upon La Maison du Sake randomly while walking in the area with my mom. I was sorely missing Japanese food while in Paris while my mom wanted to keep things French in terms of dining. I love both cuisines, so La Maison du Sake - a fusion of French and Japanese - was the perfect choice.
The ambiance is wonderful - you walk past glowing shelves of sake bottles in their sake bar to the restaurant half of the building, which houses a large bonsai tree and beautiful modern skylights. But the food is the real winner - everything we tried was absolutely amazing. The duck was the best I've ever had (truly), and we especially enjoyed the roasted potatoes with duck sauce, the chicken croquettes, the roasted octopus, and the tempura. Despite a hefty language barrier making ordering a bit of a challenge, the staff was very sweet and accommodating. On top of everything, the price is very reasonable.
If you love great fusion (which is hard to come by!), definitely make a trek here. It's one of my favorite restaurants in Paris!
